  • Fantastic

by April W on 3/6/25SAFE Credit Union Performing Arts Center - SacramentoRating: 4 out of 5

This was one of the best shows I have ever seen. Unfortunately, I could not hear the first song because the speakers were so loud I could not understand what they were singing. It was beautifully done and the actors were spot on. The modern jokes thrown in were great as well. I would definitely see it again and I bought the DVD to take to my family that have medical issues that prevent them from going out.

  • Spiritual Warfare - God Wins!

by Spiritual Warfare - Jesus Wins the War on 3/4/25SAFE Credit Union Performing Arts Center - SacramentoRating: 5 out of 5

Faith based and entertaining. Creative freedom inserted but didn't detract from the foundation of biblical teaching of the Resurrection. A visual enactment of spiritual warfare in the world that human-kind battle everyday.

  • Thrilling spectacular story of Jesus

by JaneyR on 3/2/25SAFE Credit Union Performing Arts Center - SacramentoRating: 5 out of 5

Sights. Sounds. Lights, fog, thunder, lightning. Aerial dance, gymastic athleticism. The most important story ever told, in trhilling spectacular fashion. Narrated by an engaging John the Beloved disciple while exiled on Patmos, The Thorn is a Biblically sound and incredibly entertaining presentaion of the life, death, resurrection and ascension of the Lord ofords and King of kings, Jesus Christ. I have seen it twice before; it was different this time but every bit as well done. I took 5 friends with me and they all loved it. I hope it comes again next year!

The PR had my expectations very high about what would take place. It was no more than a high school quality type production.

Dramatic presentation of God's interaction in the world thru Jesus, showing how rebelliousness leads to dead, but believing in Jesus leads to life. Well done!

The Thorn is more than just a performance-it's an encounter with the heart of the gospel. Whether you are a longtime believer or someone exploring faith, this show is an unforgettable experience that will move, inspire and strengthen your connection to Jesus Christ. Many audience members leave the theater feeling uplifted, encouraged and even transformed. The performances are outstanding, with actors delivering raw and emotional portrays that make the story feel deeply personal. The depiction of Christ suffering and ultimate victory is particularly gripping, leaving a lasting impact on viewers. I enthusiastically recommend it to everyone.

  • Room for Improvement

by Ceis on 2/26/25Fred Kavli Theatre- B of A Performing Arts Center,Thousand Oaks - Thousand OaksRating: 3 out of 5

John the Baptist as narrator was fantastic. What a large role he had. So much dialogue. I found some of the thrown in jokes weren’t exactly appropriate when the subject matters were quite serious. Only wished the other actors on the stage had some speaking/singing parts as well. It was watching a pantomime performance basically with pre recordings playing. Some scenes quickly passed through Jesus’ timeline on earth and other scenes were way too long and drawn out. Some re-vamping could make this show amazing!

  • The THORN

Beyond my best expectations!!! Spectacular!! Very creative, reverent, with both a visual and auditory excellence. The acrobatics and dancing were not just beautiful and creative but helped to portray the story.

A well acted and stunningly beautiful story. A little comedy put in the narration, helped to keep it lively and engage the audience. Great lighting and effects, weather you know the story or not, its something that you need to see if you get the chance.
