  • Emotional, riveting performance

by Fujimo on 9/30/25Embassy Theatre - Fort WayneRating: 5 out of 5

The Embassy is a gorgeous venue. Almost a full house, but things moved smoothly and getting in & out was not horrible at all. Lines moved quick and the show was absolutely AMAZING!!

This went above and beyond my expectations. One minute I was laughing and the next crying. It was amazing! I would give it many more stars if I could.

  • Spectacular Spiritual Experience

by Billy on 9/28/25Prairie Home Alliance Theater - PeoriaRating: 5 out of 5

The Thorn was my favorite buy far! I love the narration, which was a delightful surprise. The first half I would have to rate a little better than good! The 2nd half was astronomical by all standards!!! Truly drawing souls to the Kingdom of God! God please continue to bless these wonderful people and their service to your Kingdom.

  • Amazing

Absolutely awesome. I'd definitely see it again. Wasn't expecting funny, but it was at times with the narrator John.

  • Good, expected better

by Gone South on 9/28/25Prairie Home Alliance Theater - PeoriaRating: 4 out of 5

The Thorn is about a man telling the gospel story. While he did speak directly to the audience and interjected humor throughout, sometimes it felt like it was too much talking. We loved the actual scenes of drama and dance! That team was wonderful to watch. I would recommend that children under 10 not attend. We had two littles, about 4 and 7, seated in front of us and their constant standing and moving was a distraction.

  • If I could give it 50 stars I would!

by Michelle on 9/28/25Prairie Home Alliance Theater - PeoriaRating: 5 out of 5

Even if you are not a believer, go and see this! Of course the message of Jesus is of the utmost importance but this play was so beautifully, precisely, professionally over the top excellent! From beginning to end I was absolutely captivated and felt every single emotion there is to feel! The cast was beautiful and perfection! The Ariel was nothing less than stunning and distracting, in the best way possible! I cannot gush about this play and their performers enough! 50/10 GO SEE😍 I can only hope and pray they come back to my area sooner than later so I can take everybody who missed it!

  • Too long, very intense.

by LG on 9/28/25Prairie Home Alliance Theater - PeoriaRating: 3 out of 5

Few people performing, for the price it was a good experience. Too much drama for me. Would not see it again.

  • Must see to experience Jesus and his Gospel

by Carol on 9/28/25Prairie Home Alliance Theater - PeoriaRating: 5 out of 5

Everyone should see this show, especially Christians. It is the Passion of Christ meets Circus, meets Broadway with a little rock show thrown in. You are engrossed the entire show, so much to witness. You laugh, you cry and leave filled with the Holy Spirit. I loved it and will see it again.

  • Absolutely I must see

by Jestet on 9/27/25Prairie Home Alliance Theater - PeoriaRating: 5 out of 5

The production was amazing. Not a complaint just a comment. The sound system was not the best for people with hearing aids. I couldn't hear 90% of what the narrator was saying and I missed a lot of very good information. However, the production and play was so well put together. I could understand every single thing that was going on. I would see this play over and over again. I highly recommend everybody go to it. it was touching and gripping and thought-provoking.

Took my parents to the show. They have never seen an actual live show, and it was a great experience for them.

  • Very eye opening

by Helen on 4/29/25Knoxville Civic Auditorium - KnoxvilleRating: 5 out of 5

As a new Christian who just recently met Jesus this was a very emotional and eye opening play, many tears were shed but it made me realize just how much Jesus loved me and what he did for me and every other sinner!

  • A Must See!

by Paola on 4/29/25Knoxville Civic Auditorium - KnoxvilleRating: 5 out of 5

In reading the reviews, I "knew"this was going to be a good show. I was even better than I thought! Wow! If you have a chance, please go see this. We laughed and cried. The performers were amazing and in their portrayal of Jesus' story.

  • Very humbling

by Nana on 4/28/25Knoxville Civic Auditorium - KnoxvilleRating: 5 out of 5

My husband and I went to Knoxville to see The Thorn. It was everything we anticipated and more. The gentleman who played John was amazing. He had our attention the entire time and his sense of humor was wonderful even for the entire family. It’s truly humbling to watch Christs life unfold in front of you. The 2nd half I was sobbing so hard I was literally shaking. You are told over and over how he died for you. However when you see it play out in front of you even though you know it’s just a play it hits you hard. To think of such a perfect man would give his life for me and only by grace. WOW. Thank you Lord 🙏❤️
