It made you laugh, cry, it was just awesome, I would go again and again. I have told so many people to go see it if and when it comes back to Tennessee or Alabama
The performance left me speechless. I would dare the best play I’ve ever seen taking me through a plethora of emotions. We laughed, we cried and cheered. Everyone should see the play as it brings to life the reality of what Jesus did for every one of us. So powerful!
The play touched your every emotion. It is definitely a must see. The set and actors were amazing, every little detail was perfection.
The Thorn is a well produced and true to the gospel depiction of Jesus life. Actors are first class, theatrics are visually engrossing and the addition of aerial performance is delightful. I was deeply moved by this performance, often in tears and wanting to jump up and say, "That's my King!" Have the DVD and will share it with others. Worth every penny!
Go see it! So good! Hope it comes to Birmingham! Everyone had a great time. Von Braun center was really nice.
The dancers and aerialist were great, adding a beautiful way to tell this moving story of our Lord Jesus.
The theatrics were phenomenal. I was emotional throughout the entire performance. I laughed, cried, praised and had personal reflections. I highly recommend seeing it.
It was amazing and very entertaining. Very well put together.
It was more than I expected. Best kept secret. Hope they come again. It was out of this world.
2nd time attending. Absolutely fantastic! Even better the 2nd time!
My daughter and I enjoyed the show tremendously. The story being told from the recollections of Apostle John was authentic and emotional at times. I would urge everyone who has an opportunity to go. You won’t be disappointed. The actors were superb as well as the choreography and the accuracy of the play was excellent.
I had been waiting for the THORN to make its way back to Greensboro and when I saw online that it was coming in November, I jumped on getting tickets! I first heard about the THORN via a friend on Facebook who went to see it and said it was wonderful! That peaked my interest in finding out more about the THORN. Once I realized it was about the true story of Jesus, that was all it took! I LOVE anything about my Lord and Savior! When my husband and I saw the THORN, our hearts were moved and touched by every part of the story in the life of Jesus. The actors were so talented and just amazing to watch! The acrobatics, light displays, music and sound effects were such a great addition! My husband and I felt the cast of the THORN truly did a phenomenal job of presenting the life of Jesus. It was biblical which was very important so as not to mislead anyone away from Jesus but to encourage them to seek Jesus! Both my husband and I were moved to tears many times throughout the storyline. If you desire to see the story of Jesus portrayed through actors and actresses, then I HIGHLY RECOMMEND seeing the THORN! It was DEFINITELY worth the wait!
One of the most incredible and powerful passion performances I've ever seen. Very emotional scenes, especially the crucifixion, that didn't leave a dry eye in the auditorium. Great music, choreographed performances and acrobatics. Absolutely beautiful production! Highly recommend!
It was a very well performed play. The dancing and acting was very professional. I enjoyed watching all the special effects that enhanced the performance. The betrayal of Christ's crucifixion was very dramatic and intense. It left me on the edge of my seat.
The show seemed like an amateur experience put on by a college. There was too much narration and not enough scripture. John the Baptist went on a bit long during his bit. I get he was supposed to be funny but the writing just didn’t hit and it fell short. I think if they had a bigger budget the show overall could have been good but ticket prices don’t reflect the quality of the show and feel like we overpaid for what we saw.
The Thorn was a deeply personal journey through the life of Jesus. The second half of the show was so moving and impactful. I hope they come to my community soon. I want to take everyone I know
I have no words. It was so spectacular. It was dazzling, amazing, uplifting, and I felt it in my soul. If it ever comes again I will go again and take every friend I have with me. This is something everyone should see. Truly spectacular!!
It made me laugh, happy, sad, enlightened all wrapped up in one. A lot of emotions were felt. The cast did a great job and the performances were fantastic.
Very impactful. Characters were portrayed very well. The second act there were times I wanted to look away, but couldn’t. The warnings ahead of time were appropriate. John was engaging as the storyteller.
