    Glen Hansard Never Disappoints!

    by NW on 8/30/23

It was a night of building energy. Marketa has a soft and pretty voice, and their harmonies are amazing together. For me, however, the highlight is Glen. He is so emotive and gives 100% every time he sings! The night had many surprises as well. Olivia Vedder sang a song and Chad Smith played for a few songs. A great moment was when Glen came to the front of the stage with his acoustic guitar and literally did an unplugged song. You could hear him perfectly. The Orpheum is a beautiful theatre but the only downside of the night is the utter lack of legroom that the seats have. It made it quite uncomfortable and definitely detracted from just being able to be present and fully enjoy the show.

    As always, fabulous!

    by Nanny on 8/30/23

We were a group of 8, 3 first-timers. We’ve followed Glen since the Once days. We’ve seen him in LA, but also San Diego, Boston, and New York. Follow his music, follow him! Will do even more in the future! His CD’s keep me connected, but his concerts are way beyond them! His warmth, his generosity and connection with the audience, his gleeful excitement and deep passion carry us along with him to absolute nirvana! I’m still floating on his cloud! Until next time! Post more dates! I’ll be there!!!

    Beyond expectations!

    by Jay on 8/30/23

I have been a fan of Glen for years and seen him many times, he is one of the most powerful performers. However this was my first time seeing the Swell Season duo, Marketa complements glen so beautifully its almost unbelievable. Before the show the 2 of them popped out on to the sidewalk with an acoustic guitar and busted for the 30 or so people standing in line. Olivia Vedder and Chad Smith came out and played a couple songs with them including My Father's Daughter from the Flag Day soundtrack and an unexpected AC/DC cover. To finish off the night Glen stepped to the very front of the stage, leaving the microphone behind, and belted out Say It To Me Now completely unamplified. Was a wonderful night that I hope to get to do again soon!

Great concert, just love the band and their music. $50 for parking is a bit extreme.

    Swell Season Sparkles

    by Shivaun on 8/29/23

Unlike my recent experience seeing Ringo Starr at The Masonic, this was, thankfully, the complete opposite. Ushers were attentive and helpful in the lobby. I was easily able to find my seat on the floor and, because it was Seat 1, Row 1, in Section 7, the view wasn't limited or obstructed at all. Swell Season were perfection. Glen and Marketa are gifted on their own but together are exceptional. I hadn't seen them since they played Mountain Winery years ago. Unfortunately, that show ended early due to an incident involving an audience member. I treasure this new memory of seeing them to replace that other memory from Mountain Winery.

    Epic Beautifulness

    by dreamfaeries on 8/27/23

Glen and Marketa always have the best shows. They connect to people not only in their music, but their stories as well. They have the best auras and their sound is eargasm worthy.

    Wonderful, relaxing and entertaining evening

    by Becky on 8/26/23

The Swell Season with Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova should have also said "and friends". This was an interactive evening for sure. The band really engaged the crowd including bringing people up to perform and at one point, G&M went out into the crowd to perform a song. They were a wonderful balance to each other...calm/excited, mellow/wound up. A perfect night for us. If you have a chance to see them, do it! If you can follow them, do it!

    Most amazing show

    by Chad L on 8/26/23

A live show really doesn’t get better than the Swell Season / Glen Hansard & Marketa Irglova. The passion, energy, and skill they and the band pour into every show is so satisfying. Glen is a masterful storyteller, too, and you never know what surprise (or guest artist) he’s going to bring to a show. Every show of theirs I’ve been to brings laughter, awe, and tears, and this one was no exception. The venue at Chateau Ste Michelle Winery is lovely for that outdoor concert/festival vibe, with great wine and a number of diverse, tasty food choices. I personally prefer an indoor venue for better acoustics, but I wasn’t at all disappointed with this show. Hope they come to town again real soon!

    Great performance

When Glenn came out to our section in the audience and we all sang along with him was very special and then he did an extended encore! Class move!

    First time at The Shed

    by Nora Mac on 8/23/23

The night I saw the Swell Season was my first time visiting The Salt Shed. I had heard good things by friends, read the positive reviews, so, I took a chance. I parked with Valet which was expensive, but, parking was limited (get there early!) The show was inside that night, but, the food trucks were open and some boutique shops on site were, as well. The venue was really neat with all of its history, it was clean, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. The Swell Season put on one hell of a show and the sound was impressive. Although there were a number of us, standing in General Admission was not too bad, you were able to move in and out the crowd easily enough. Overall, I highly recommend The Shed for a show and Swell Season was outstanding! Bravo!

    So Much Fun!

    by Ni on 8/23/23

The music (as expected) was amazing, but what really made the show fun was the energy! I don't know that I've ever been to a show where every person on stage seemed to be having the time of their lives! I was up WAY past my bedtime (because I'm "old"), but it was so worth it! Such a fun show!

    The Swell Season

    by Ange on 8/22/23

Enjoyed the show. First time at the Salt Shed. Was not really understanding what general admission really meant. Was lucky that a staff member was able to find us a few seats. I think when he saw that we were 80 years old he was kind enough to help us
