THE STRING CHEESE INCIDENT IN CONCERT:

The String Cheese Incident may be America's quintessential jam band, effortlessly traversing genres and styles to create a truly sweeping live experience that incorporates elements of bluegrass, electronica, and psychedelia into their rock-based sound. Intuitively playing off each other, the band's talented roster of musicians improvise freely atop a full-throttle rhythm section that consistently brings fans to their feet for a dance in the aisles. With Song in My Head — their first studio album in nine years — due out in 2014, the band are sure to be sharper than ever on their tour dates in support of the release.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Named after a food fight that heavily featured cheese, the String Cheese Incident kicked off in Colorado in 1993, self-releasing their early bluegrass-influenced albums and building a regional following with their extended live shows. In 2001, the band debuted a more rock-oriented sound with third album Outside Inside, broadening their fanbase and touring extensively throughout the US. 2003's Untying the Not further expanded the band's repertoire of styles with its inclusion of electronic and trance elements, paving the way for the continued sonic development that has characterized their subsequent releases.

    For everybody who loves to get their cheese on... Spending the last 2 nights with cheese really brought me back to when I saw cheese play at Rothbury (these are my only 2 shows that i have seen SCI). If you like phish, Sts9, Yonder Mountain, then please go see the string cheese incident ASAP, I'll also be there

    I have been to 100+ Greatful DEAD Shows,seen the Stones,Allaman Brothers,John Prine,Little Feat , New Riders Of The Purple Sage, and so on. This show rates as one of the best shows ever. They had Incredible energy and really involved the crowd with their music.

    Excellent show & great venue. This was the best show I have seen in 20 years (U2, Springsteen,The Dead, Rat Dog, Muse, Widespread. many others). Band was totally on fire. Crowd was psyched, Halloween costumes in abundance, friendly staff. What's not to like. I will travel to wherever they play next. Peace.

    I attended with my husband and my 2 daughters 23 and 25. We all loved the concert and impressed by the amazing variety of music. Can't understand why these concerts have to charge $8 and $10 for a beer- highway robbery!!! Would have preferred to purchase wine at a reasonable price.

    Premier venue, the mothership is an unreal venue, very chill surroundings. Close hotels, no problems, good peoples, SCI needs to start touring again...

    Bottom line - SCI knows what they're doing. They are there to supply the best time possible and they do that so incredibly well. They played an unforgettable show at the best venue I've ever been to. Hats off for the String Cheese Incident! Wahhhoooooo!!!

    This was the first taste of the cheese for me, and it was Sweet ,Tangy and very Sharp with notes of blue(grass) . Psychedelic light show was the best I have ever experienced!! See this Band!!!

    This was my first Incident and I have to say, it will not be my last. SCI came to the mothership and blew the place up. The ripped through songs and really put on a great show.

    Worst Cheese Show Ever

    I am a huge Cheese fan but I was extremely disappointed in this show. Seemed like it was more about the light show than the music. I am scared to see them again in case this is the band that shows up. Bummer...could have been so cool at Red Rocks too.
