I must admit that I thought I was in for a Christmas Celebration "event" when I attended The Story Tour: A Christmas Celebration. I did not get that. BUT, what I did experience was exactly what "The Story" writer/composer stated as their goal for the evening. And, that was that I would be able to embrace The Story in ways that connected my story to The Story...and it surely did. I can't describe when exactly I realized the major perspective shift occurred, but I found myself talking about it to friends and family. The way these talented individuals portrayed the life of "Adam and Eve", "Abraham", "Moses", "Joshua", "Job", "Queen Esther", "Daniel", "Ruth and Naomi", "Mary", "Jesus", and others brought them to the contemporary issues that we face today. It portrayed these biblical heroes with their challenges and struggles in a personal way; the way I could easily see how their lives are much like mine. These stories were not the story about them, The Story presented these Bible characters "telling their own story". The writer and composer of The Story Tour are gifted geniuses, blessed by God. I will never forget December 9, 2013. Incredible just touches the surface. Every person who participated in this performance gave 100% of themselves to their respective roles.
