Amazing as always! Great band, great performance. Robert Stillman as an opener/collaborator was excellent! Can't wait to see them again
Great performance and the venue made it easy to park, queue, etc. But the sound (near the front of the stage in the GA floor, at least) was trash. Volume was so low that I could hear chatter of people around me, and it still managed to be a muddled mix. Nearly impossible to make out lyrics, couldn't hear guitars at times, lots of technical issues. Disappointing and I likely won't bother going to another concert at Place Bell again.
The band rules and is one of my favorite performances, but the venue's AC quit working and apparently they have known about it and wont do anything and seems to be continuing to operate with no fix in sight. LAME SAUCE! "Due to a recent malfunction of our venue’s HVAC system, we anticipate minimal airflow throughout the seating areas resulting in a hot and humid feel throughout the space. In order to mitigate these conditions, we will be offering free water and paddle fans to all guests attending The Smile on July 3rd. We are also staffing additional event and medical staff. Guests are encouraged to dress accordingly, stay hydrated, and bring quiet portable neck fans or other cooling devices, if available."
No circulating air. They paper on a popsicle stick to keep us cool. They had plenty of time to bring in portable fans or AC. Terrible.
The band is excellent as always. The venue, however, deserves 2 stars. The paint was peeling off the walls and one of the HVAC systems was out leaving the environment hot. I hope Thom, Jonny and Tom never agree to play at this venue again.
Seriously... they did nothing short of blow my mind. They are an experience. Thom has such a positive energy. I felt his joy. Johnny was amazing too. The way they traded instruments was also awe inspiring. JUST GO.
You should go see The Smile, they friggin killed it.
There was so much to experience during the show. I danced a little., hope you didn’t miss that. I don’t dance but my feet starting moving.
They were flipping stellar. Easily in my top 5 shows of all time.
The venue was a nice indoor/outdoor arena with good food and drinks to choose from. Paying 20 bucks for premium parking was well worth it! The show itself was great Thome and Johnny from Radiohead showed off some experimental chops by playing most of their debut album with four new never heard from the new LP. Overall it was great experience! I would also go back to the St Augustine Amphitheater for another show.
Fantastic concert at the awesome outdoor Ampitheater in St. Augustine. A great night!
hands down the best concert i’ve ever been to. the energy was amazing.
The show was ok, all new stuff. Most everyone was just standing and watching. Not a lot of tunes to move to. I would not go see them again.
Top 5 live performances of my life. Great sound and energy. Beautiful breeze and sunshine from one of my favorite venues.
I thought these guys were great. Was surprised at how clean their performance was! I guess I thought it’d be harder to produce their sound live but they did it. Light show was great too!
2/5 of Radiohead with an incredible drummer. Non stop amazing! Do yourself and favor and go.
Guao, the best. I have managed to see two of the best musicians in history. His talent is impressive. I really hope to see them again with Radiohead, which is one of the dreams, yet to come true.
Really great show in terms of stage presence, lighting and musicality, I just wish there was some center fill for the general audience standing area. All I could hear was washy stage volume with no reinforcement. Yes, I was standing closer to the stage than the main line arrays, but the house team or the touring sound team could have provided a little something to fill in the front. I didn’t even need my earplugs, it was so quiet. Other than that, amazing show.
The band was incredible but I feel the sound Engeneer didn’t mix the instruments correctly for the hall. It was difficult to hear the instruments and the vocals because the bass drum was way too loud. Just my opinion of course.
I loved this experience I brought my girlfriend, she loved it too the smile was so good
