Started with all three groups singing together and just got better. The first group out was The Exchange.
The Exchange (4/5 stars): Great group, sound, & energy! These gentlemen came out and nailed their performance. I especially enjoyed the vocal percussion guy (Richard, I think)
Between the first 2 groups, members from each came out an enacted a skit (sorry, no details on it...it will be for you to go to and enjoy) that was highly entertaining and amazing. I enjoyed it as much as (maybe a little more) the Exchange's performance.
Next up...Voiceplay (definitely 5/5 stars): Amazing performance! Creative, playful, awesome energy. The way they chose to demonstrate their range through music genres and showcase their creativity elevated the high bar set by their predecessors, The Exchange.
Last, but not least, Street Corner Symphony (3.5/5 stars): Definitely a good sounding and looking group, but they seemed to lack energy for most of their performance. They sang Chuck Berry's "Johnny B. Goode" but there didn't seem to be a whole lot of zest behind it. It wasn't until the last song of the night that they turned it up. If the energy level from the last song was in all of them, then easily a 5/5 stars for SCS too.
