About

Direct from sell out tours of the UK & Europe The Simon & Garfunkel Story tells the fascinating tale of how two young boys from Queens, New York went on to become the world’s most successful music duo of all time. Using a projection screen, the show features 1960s photographs and film footage accompanied by a full band performing all their hits including Mrs Robinson’, Bridge Over Troubled Water, Homeward Bound, Scarborough Fair, The Boxer, The Sound Of Silence and many more.

The Simon & Garfunkel Story beyond expectations

by bp38 on 10/21/17Rialto Square Theatre - Joliet

We were not sure what to expect for this show. It is a look back at the times & history behind the Simon & Garfunkel's extensive works in music, presented by a couple of guys who do their music & voices a great honor, Also backed by a good 4 piece band. They also get audience to participate. You will leave knowing more than expected, and greatly impressed by their vocal talents.

If you like Simon and Garfunkel, don't miss this show. Most of the time you could not tell the difference! Very entertaining. The venue is the best. A beautiful palace theater.

    Must see!

by Goldie1986 on 10/18/17Rialto Square Theatre - Joliet

SO glad we went!! We are in our 40's and were definitely the youngsters in the crowd. Excellent singing ! Interesting stories but the singing was the highlight. We liked that there was more singing than stories. The whole band was great-very entertaining. If you like any of Simon & Garfunkel's music-you'll enjoy this show.

The Simon & Garfunkel Story was enjoyable

by Doodsie on 10/18/17Rialto Square Theatre - Joliet

I was expecting a play like Beautiful about Carole King, however, this was like a mini concert telling the story with a video story board and the singers narrating specific events. The singers were dead on with their renditions of some popular songs and others that were not big hits but with the story why the song was written was interesting. Rialto is a lovely old theatre and the staff are awesome.

The Simon and Garfunkel Story - Memorable!

by constructionmom on 10/18/17Rialto Square Theatre - Joliet

Very nice show. They did a great job of explaining the times and songs through the years. Several songs were unfamiliar ones but part of the history of the duo.

    Must See This Show

by Draberhaven on 10/18/17Rialto Square Theatre - Joliet

These guys are drop dead amazing. Strong soaring harmonies, beautiful guitar, altogether tender, genuine renditions of this iconic work. The band was impeccable, the video backdrop was creative and added to the show. The song selections that I didn't know were as exciting as the classics.

    Great show

by ChicagoBill on 10/18/17Rialto Square Theatre - Joliet

I grew up hearing Simon and Garfunkel and know virtually every song. This was a great anthology of their work and performed superbly. I forgot how many songs they did that I listened to. I liked their use of historical context around the songs. Bridge Over Troubled Waters was exceptional.

    Melodious sounds

by KoalaPig on 10/10/17Taft Theatre - Cincinnati

The Simon and Garfunkel Story featured the best vocal match of any tribute act I've ever seen or heard. They sound very much like late 60's/early 70's Simon and Garfunkel, which made it a sheer delight to listen to them. The visuals were "okay," but could be greatly enhanced if they used footage and pictures of the real S&G as part of the story they told about their careers. I suspect there must have been copyright issues or extra costs involved with that. Overall, it was a very enjoyable review of some excellent favorites as well as some lesser-known classics like "Richard Corey" that made for a great show.

    Really enjoyable !!!

by Crpoore on 10/10/17Taft Theatre - Cincinnati

There is something extra special about S&G's music played live. I was lucky enough to see them twice during their last big tour, and I am not expecting to have another chance, so I thought this might be a good substitute. I was right, if you are a fan you will really enjoy this show. These are not easy songs to sing; the duo at our show did a great job!

The artists are so talented and this was a wonderful show. You won't be disappointed with this event and I hope to get to see it again. Shut your eyes and you will never know it's not the Real Simon and Garfunkle. The band was amazing too.

    A very enjoyable evening.

by Leaderdmd on 9/30/17The Wilbur - Boston

Musically, and I'm particular, this show is spot on. It was visually appealing. I enjoyed the stories about Simon and Garfunkel. The artists are not Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel, and they do not let you forget that. Still, of you want to see two guys and their band do the Simon and Garfunkel song list, you will enjoy this show as much as we did, a lot.

    Simon and Garfunkel Story

by Kellymgk on 9/30/17The Wilbur - Boston

I thought the show was outstanding. The band and acoustic guitars sounded just like S&G. The harmonies as well as the individual singing were superb albeit I thought the Paul Simon character's voice was what held the show together. The stories behind the songs were also informative and the visual time capsules were neat as well. They had a very strict no video/pictures so I was a little disappointed I could not take a couple pictures.

    Fabulous

    by JLee6 on 9/30/17The Wilbur - Boston

Both singers acting as Paul asimon and Art Garfunkel were fantastic. Things to make better: A program handout or better recognition of the two singers' names; lower loudness of bass; Oh, and to actually have Simon and Garfunkel ;-) Otherwise, a terrific show!

Close Your Eyes and They are There

    by Happycamper33 on 9/30/17The Wilbur - Boston

OK, I think it helps if you are a fan of Simon and Garfunkel, but it really isn't totally necessary. The story of their success and and the music they created together will live on forever, and it is well worth your time to see this show. the boys have the harmony of Simon and Garfunkel down pat and you cannot help but immerse yourself in the music.
