About

Direct from sell out tours of the UK & Europe The Simon & Garfunkel Story tells the fascinating tale of how two young boys from Queens, New York went on to become the world’s most successful music duo of all time. Starting from their humble beginnings as 50’s Rock n Roll duo Tom & Jerry, The Simon & Garfunkel Story takes you through all the songs and stories that shaped them, the dramatic split, their individual solo careers and ending with a stunning recreation of the legendary 1981 Central Park reunion concert.

Using a projection screen, the show features 1960s photographs and film footage accompanied by a full band performing all their hits including Mrs Robinson’, Bridge Over Troubled Water, Homeward Bound, Scarborough Fair, The Boxer, The Sound Of Silence and many more.

“Simply incredible”- BBC Scotland

    Go see it!

by OmaSam on 2/7/19DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

This was one of the best concerts I've seen. These two singers sound exactly like Simon and Garfunkel. I'm a huge fan of Simon and Garfunkel - had all their records. These singers are very personable, and the videos they show during their songs are outstanding. I highly recommend this show!

High quality performances hit a speed bump in the 2nd half

by John Rovi on 2/7/19DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

These young men, and their first-rate ensemble, make beautiful music on stage. The production is similarly top notch with relevant and enlightening video projections that frame the early days of the duo. We thoroughly enjoyed the show, but were left feeling a little let down (Is that all there is?) when the show was finished. Is it because Simon's career is really the heart of the evening, and so it should have gone on into the later years after the breakup? Is it because Garfunkle is really such a self-absorbed prince that he poisons the atmosphere? Not sure, but the producer of the show allows the second half to be less engaging than the first, hence my four star rating.

    Unexpected

by Doylegj on 2/7/19DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

I had no predetermined expectations going in to the show. In fact, I wondered what they were going to do with Garfunkel when they got to the Paul Simon era. Never mattered. The show was about both and never disappointed. Great story telling and great talent - what more could you want? Oh yes, great nostalgia.

Absolutely fantastic show. Everything about it was great !

by SCOTT S on 2/7/19The Maryland Theatre - Hagerstown

The performers and the material were perfect. Close your eyes and you think are at a Simon and Garfunkel concert. The selection of the material as well as the limited story telling were quite impressive. great show !!

    Amazing show!

by Carl on 2/7/19DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

I was expecting another tribute band type show. This was far beyond that. The singing was spot on but what made the show special was the news reels of the time displayed along with the history of the group. Just an overall great show. I have been telling everyone to see it if they get a chance!

    Awesome, Amazing concert!!!

by Forever Fan on 2/7/19DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

I saw them live in concert right before their Bridge Over Troubled Water album came out. Art blew me away with the title song. It prompted me to haunt the record store for weeks until my ordered album came in. This concert with its pictorial background of the times and the incredible rendition of their music brought the audience back in time to our youth and touchstone. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! It was incredible and amazingly done!!! Don’t miss seeing this! You will LOVE it!

    The Simon and Garfunkel Story

by Cindy on 2/7/19DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

A joy from beginning to end. The stars looked enough like Simon and Garfunkel to lend to some sense of authenticity. They began with the story of their very beginnings and walked us through their amazing career, using stories, photos, and a 5-piece back-up band. The best part, though was their voices with their beautiful renditions of the various songs. The sound quality was excellent and not too loud. The evening was a delightful walk through memory lane. And I learned some interesting things about their lives during this time period.

Enjoyed it from the first note

    by J. C. on 2/5/19The Maryland Theatre - Hagerstown

Top-notch talent, interesting information shared, a fun presentation on the screen enhanced the performance, several songs less frequently heard, and the favorites, too. A home run! Highly recommend.

    Like going back 50 years!

by Paul Politis on 2/5/19The Maryland Theatre - Hagerstown

Was a little skeptical about this program but as soon as they began singing my first thought was "are they lip-syncing"? Entire show, band, nostalgic scenes and storyline from Simon and Garfunkels' career were all spot on. Thinking back, despite all the background presented, I don't believe the original Simon and Garfunkel were ever shown on the screen . . . probably intentional to not take away from the 2 on stage. A must experience for any Simon and Garfunkel fan!

    Memories of My Youth

    by k. W. on 2/5/19The Maryland Theatre - Hagerstown

Paul Simon is one of the greatest song writers of my life time, so I loved hearing his music live again. I wish there had been more about his early life that made him the genius he is. As a review of S and G’s musical career it was good, but I looked for something more. I think something like BEAUTIFUL was for Carol King would have been better. The singers were excellent, as was the rest of the band. The crowd really enjoyed this trip down memory lane.

    The Simon and Garfunkel Story

by Anne on 2/5/19The Maryland Theatre - Hagerstown

I thought that it was great. I knew almost every song they sang and it was fun humming along (quietly). The vocals weren't spot on, but they were close.

    The Simon and Garfunkel Story

by Runningjer on 2/5/19The Maryland Theatre - Hagerstown

It was a fantastic performance. The performers were spot on. Capturing all the nuances of both characters. Music was fabulous. Other things that non-musicians might not notice: 1. The mix was PERFECT. I complimented the two sound engineers on the way out. 2. The venue (Maryland Theater) was a perfect fit for the performance, not overly big (1290). Highly recommend both the show and the venue!

    A wonderful evening

by Butchwvu on 2/5/19The Maryland Theatre - Hagerstown

One of the best shows we've been to at the Maryland Theater. This group came as close to the real Simon and Garfunkel as you can get. It was a memorable experience and I wish I could tell the singers/group that they were excellent. Fun, fun , fun (till your daddy takes the "T" Bird away)
