About

The Rolling Stones are one of the most influential and longest-lasting bands to cross over during the ’60s British Invasion. The group stands as one of the best-selling acts of all time with 200 million records sold worldwide, and is responsible for two of the highest-grossing tours of all time within the last two decades. Blending blues and rock, the first main lineup of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Brian Jones, Bill Wyman and Charlie Watts broke out in 1965 with their first chart-topping album Out of Our Heads and back-to-back Hot 100 No. 1 singles “(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction” and “Get Off of My Cloud.” The group topped the Hot 100 again with 1966’s “Paint It, Black,” 1967’s “Ruby Tuesday” and 1969’s “Honky Tonk Women.” With the addition of guitarist Mick Taylor, The Rolling Stones released their second No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 with 1971’s Sticky Fingers, kicking off a streak of eight consecutive chart-topping debuts through 1981’s Tattoo You. Ronnie Wood made his debut as Taylor’s full-time replacement with 1978’s Some Girls, which hosted the group’s Hot 100 No. 1 “Miss You.” The Rolling Stones were the recipients of The Recording Academy’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 1987, and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989. They collected their first of three career Grammy Awards in 1995. The group broke the record for highest-grossing tour in 1990 and reclaimed the top spot in 1995 and 2007, becoming the only band to headline the highest-grossing tour of the decade twice. The No Filter World Tour from 2017 to 2021 closed as the fifth highest-earning tour ever. Most recently, the band released their first album of original material in 18 years, 2023’s Hackney Diamonds.

Rolling Stones - Air Canada Centre - May 25, 2013

by moe001 on 5/27/13Air Canada Centre - Toronto

GOOD STUFF - I can't believe they went over 2 hours non-stop. Very Impressed. Back up singers and band were great. Loved Lisa Fischer on Gimme Shelter. The Cawthra Park Secondary School Choir was really good! BAD STUFF - Not enough people working the merchandise stands. The concert was one hour late in starting. I hope there was a good reason, because it struck us as very unprofessional; especially with what people were being charged for tickets!!! I think an announcement should be made if any performer is going to start late. Then people can get a t-shirt, another drink or bathroom break in without missing the start (or end) of the show. That made me (and the people beside me) mad, and wrecked my total enjoyment of the show. They redeemed themselves, in part, by putting on a longer show than we expected. The sound balance could have been better and volume a shade lower. The "bass" was way too heavy a couple of times (my chair was vibrating). Ron Wood rocks! I saw him take a few pictures with some "Ordinary Joe's" before the doors opened. At least he was a "Pro" and on time! :-) I guess I have higher standards for a group like the Stones.

    Rolling Stones Rocked It!

by Gingerbus on 5/27/13MGM Grand Garden Arena - Las Vegas

The Rolling Stones have still got it and are going strong! Katy Perry was the surprise guest and sang Beast of Burden. Super cool. The only negative I have to say about the concert is that it was scheduled to start at 8pm, and it didn't start until 10pm. No explanations or apologies. Other than that, it was great. We had a blast! Keep on rockin!!

    Rolling Stones gather no moss

by bollama on 5/27/13Air Canada Centre - Toronto

This was the first time I have attended a Stones concert, but I have been following and enjoying them since they first hit the radio in Toronto in the sixties. I was pumped, and though now feeling some pain from having been on my feet at the arena from about 4 p.m. in order to pick up my tix at the "Will Call" table, I was so glad that I made the decision to finally see "the world's greatest Rock''Roll band". From the opening notes of "Under My Thumb" on, no disappointment was felt by this fan. Even the seeming odd-coupling of Mick Jagger and Carrie Underwood on "It's Only Rock n' Roll" worked in it's own way. Lisa Fischer's vocal dynamics on "Gimme Shelter" were in full force and I even saw Keith smile more than a few time. They gave me the ultimate rock fix.

Jagger has moves that Maroon 5 only dream about--he was unbelievable. Go see the Stones while you have a chance...you'll be telling your grandkids about it.

    Best $85 ever spent!!

by Bucketlist123 on 5/27/13Air Canada Centre - Toronto

We purchased the $85.00 tickets and were upgraded to the Tongue Pit!! We arrived early, so there was hardly anyone in the pit, so we ended up front row center....INCREDIBLE!! Got a guitar pick from Keith Richards too, so it couldn't have been better!

This is my fifth time seeing the Stones on stage. They are still as good as ever. Amazing. Mick Jagger's energy is unbelievable. Hope I will be in half as good shape when I am his age.

    Stones Toronto

by Mascon on 5/26/13Air Canada Centre - Toronto

Saw the Stones last night in TO last night. Great show! We had a pair of 17 year olds on either side of us seeing them for the first time. . Food for thought - I was 17 when i saw them live for the first time in '65. Scam I noticed though... 2 beside us were upgraded from their $85.00 tix to floor. 1/2 hr later 2nd 2 sat down $250.00 each from scalper (2 - 17 year old girls). Obviously an inside job. Someone or two made $500.00 on "free" tix.

    Awesome show!

by Pinedrop on 5/24/13Honda Center - Anaheim

The Stones are as good as ever, maybe better. Mick has more energy than anyone on the planet and his voice still has a full range. Charlie, Ronnie, and Keith are cranking out the tunes in excellent form. The audience was loving every minute and on their feet the entire performance.

    rock and roll lives on

by Nanphoenix on 5/23/13Staples Center - Los Angeles

The Stones second LA concert was more brilliant than the first, even in the few moments when it fell flat. The energy was amazing. Seeing Mick Taylor back with the band was the ultimate sight and sound. This is a working band that deserves all possible respect.

    The Rolling Stones

by RobtJD on 5/22/13Honda Center - Anaheim

A 'best of' concert. They're still great after 50 years; I hope I have that much energy when I'm their age. My only complaint was that it was a little loud for an indoor venue; turning down the loudness a bit would NOT detract from the energy of the concert!

    Rolling Stones in Anaheim

by bobbyangel on 5/22/13Honda Center - Anaheim

The Rolling Stones put on a great show at the Honda Center in Anaheim California. Mick Jagger moves like Jagger and some! Keith richards and Ron Wood are such a joy to watch play. They really have fun on stage playing the classic Rolling Stone playlist. Our seats were great. We were on the 400 level but paralell to the stage . So we were right on top of the action.
