About

The Rock Orchestra By Candlelight are a band of classical musicians from the United Kingdom who transform rock and metal songs into dark symphonies. The group of 14 musicians regularly performs concerts bathed in an ethereal candlelit glow as they turn songs by AC/DC, Metallica, Rage Against the Machine, Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Linkin Park and more into swirling, dark rhapsodies that bridge the chasm between metal, hard rock and classical music. In 2024, The Rock Orchestra will embark on a tour of their native U.K. as well as Europe and the U.S. to present their thrilling new 90-minute show.

The musicians were excellent. I was disappointed in the selection of music. I bought the tickets as a gift for my husband thinking it was going to be hard rock/metal of the 80's, early 90's.

This the second time I saw the Rock Orchestra. The show, from set decoration to music choices was great. I cannot say enough about the female lead singer. She is a force and her energy was the icing on the cake.. It was an enjoyable experience and the couple we brought loved the show also. Will definitely go next time they come around.

What a fun night. Didn't realize there were going to be singing some of the songs. That made it even better. Definitely recommend.

  • Great musicians - 14+ show

by WillsMom on 12/4/24Rating: 4 out of 5

This was a really great show! Brought my 9 yo son who doesn't know a lot of the songs but said 'that was great!' when it was over. The musicians are very talented! A few things I didn't expect... singers. I didn't expect there to be singers and I'm on the fence about them. While I do think they added energy to the show at the end, I wasn't completely sold on them being part of the show. If you're looking for the show to feel a little more like a rock concert, then sure, it was good to have them. But I was looking to hear rock music in a new way (without the lyrics). In fact, as much as I love 'Killing in the Name' by Rage Against the Machine... I could do without the F--- word while at a concert with my child (again, I wasn't expecting to hear the actual lyrics and I'm only now seeing on their website they suggest 14+). I bought from 0⁰ⁿ8⁸⁸⁸⁶Ticketmaster so didn't know ahead. The good part was that the singers didn't perform for every song, so if you don't care for them no need to worry since they aren't always on stage. (They are good but detracts from the musicians in my opinion. ) The musicians did one classical song in a rock style which I loved and wished they did more of that! All in all it was a great show!

  • AWFUL EXPERIENCE... NO PARKING!

by KoRnyTony on 4/29/24Coca-Cola Roxy - AtlantaRating: 1 out of 5

The Candlelight Rock Orchestra playing at The Roxy was booked the same night as a The Braves vs. The Marlins baseball game at The Battery in Atlanta, Georgia. I arrived for the concert and there was zero parking, with baseball pass holders having priority to all parking garages, no parking outside of venue either. I was forced to miss the concert, and out $212.00 for my front row ticket cost. Awful experience.
