About

The Raveonettes are a Danish indie rock duo consisting of Sune Rose Wagner (vocals/guitar) and Sharin Foo (vocals/bass). Known for their distinctive sound that blends elements of noise pop, shoegaze and rockabilly, the duo released their debut mini-album, Whip It On, in 2002, earning Best Rock Album of the Year at the 2003 Danish Music Awards. After a performance at New York’s CBGB, The Raveonettes caught the attention of producer Richard Gottehrer (Blondie, the Go-Go’s), who co-produced their 2003 major label debut Chain Gang of Love. In 2005 they released Pretty in Black featuring the popular single “Love in a Trashcan.” In 2006, Blender named Foo one of rock’s hottest women. Their 2009 album In and Out of Control included the tracks “Last Dance” and “Suicide,” both featured on The CW’s hit TV show Gossip Girl. In 2024, the band announced their first tour in a decade, with select dates scheduled in May and June in cities like San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York.

  • Best. Show. Ever.

by JoeB on 9/26/25Teragram Ballroom - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

I was hooked on The Raveonettes sound the moment I heard their album Whip It On back in 2005, yet I never got around to seeing them live until just now — and the wait was worth it! It was also worth the effort of getting to the venue early to grab a cozy spot leaning up against the stage where I’ve never been so close to all the action, and I’ve been to many a concert. By the way, the sound system in the venue delivers, and the lighting albeit simple was perfectly matched. Sincerely the experience of a lifetime for this long time fan.

  • Good low key show. Good venue .

Not a big place but the bar and lounge is very cool. Crowd was friendly and not too pushy like many small venues suffer from. She band was very good and the sound was good. The sound did not cause ear bleeding like many small venues do as they mix it louder as the show progresses.

  • Greta show for the fans!

Excellent show; played almost every song I wanted to hear! Only downside was that it wasn’t long enough! (I kid, I kid…) Could have easily stayed longer.

  • More Raveonettes please!

A mesmerizing, haunting and enveloping sound swept through the Teragram Ballroom last Thursday night. The sound generated by these three gifted musicians song after song was sonically cathartic. The guitar playing was superb. More Raveonettes please!!
