The Rail at the 1863 Club Tickets

I had a great time because of the people I was with and out wait person. The food was pretty good but not enough variety. What you get for the price I think is not worth it.

A very lovely day, but the noise level in the room was unbearable at times — some noise abatement / acoustic boards should be installed. The servers / service was excellent. The food was good. Would definitely consider purchasing again.

Very expensive considering the buffet was removed fairly early in the afternoon on a day where there were 13 races. Choice of entrees on the buffet were limited to one chicken dish and barbequed pork, which seemed inadequate-considering the cost to attend. The food served was very good and the staff was wonderful, but there should have been a beef dish or something else to justify the cost. Also, removing the food so early in the afternoon was very disappointing.

Absolutely great experience. We usually do clubhouse seating but this was so much better. Arrived at noon and two buffets (hot and cold) were just opening. Food was delicious and restocked often. Our table 53 was near bar, buffet and close to betting portals. Spacious. There are plenty of big screens to see the race but you can easily walk out to the rail to see the action. Waiter Rafael was attentive but not annoying. We loved it! Would do this again.

Nice venue enjoyed three days in 1863. The web site needs to be improved so other reserved seating is better described to understand the options.

Mediocre food in a restaurant located well beyond the finish line. Definitely not worth $200 a person

Booked reservation for my son, daughter, husband & myself. This was a special belated 80 birthday celebration. We absolutely loved the 1863 Club. It’s the only way to go to the track. Worth every penny. Will be back again

Great service Excellent buffet. Best table at the track. Next to horse path leading to racetrack for 6.

A few things from my experience at the 1863 club... 1) Its not a great place to watch the races. True, you can go out and stand right along the rail. But you are passed the finish line so you really aren't able to tell who is winning and who isn't 2) The places is pretty congested. The tables are packed tightly together and with people meandering by it makes for a less than a pleasant experience 3) The buffet is pretty skimpy. I was expecting better. All in all its not a bad place to be, but not worth the high price.

Our table was in a great location as we were right next to a window. The service from our waitress was great, attentive and she had a great personality. Unfortunately, the food left a lot to be desired. The noise in the room made it almost impossible to hear the announcements.

The Rail At the 1863 Club is a great location but for the price of the Buffet it should have seafood. Also the cocktail prices have increased while the size of the cocktail has been reduced dramatically. It is a noticeable difference and it seems the club caters to their sponsor as certain beer and brands of liquor are not available in the club. This btw does not hold true for the rest of the Saratoga racetrack as I walked around and found the beverages of my choice. I’ve been going to At the Rail for years and while I am aware of inflation, I will think twice before reserving again.

The food was plentiful and delicious I would have liked to be closer to the finish line.

This is the nicest venue I have been to at Saratoga Racetrack. First, it is nicely air conditioned. Second, they serve 3 meals at the buffet - starters/appetizers: main meal: and then hot dogs with Saratoga Chips about 4. Third, there is bar service at your table. From "The Rail", you can leave the interior area and go outside to either watch the race live or view the horses as they enter the track for the race. There are plenty of betting windows and machines. I highly recommend this venue - a little pricy but well worth it!

I full expected to have an indoor table. When we arrived the table was located outdoors on a 98 degree day. The seating chart online was very misleading when buying tickets and I never would have purchased them had I known they were outside. Of course norm refunds or cancellation. Awful.

Was pleasantly surprised at how wonderful our experience was (all 8 os us), since none of us had been to Saratoga. The facility is beautiful, clean, with tables set far enough apart to not be on top of one another. The buffet of food was plentiful & delicious and replenished frequently. The bathroom was kept clean by an attendant.Access to the outdoors was easy, if one wanted to watch the race up close. Our waiter (John) was attentive but not hovering. All in all, we could not have asked for a better time - unless of course that we won BIG - which we didn't .

Although very noisy the air conditioning, amenities and buffet were quite nice. The staff were exemplary all the way around.

My Company wasn’t able to secure a suite for this customer event so we tried the 1863 club. We specifically asked that our tables be put together and they were not. We were spread out on the other side of the room. The food was good but very difficult and super slow to get beverages from our server. It was soooooo noisy in this huge room, you had to shout yo be heard. Doesn’t lend itself to talking to clients and coworkers. Very disappointing.

Very busy day at 1863 club. Food was good but it was not replenished for very long period. It could have been restocked in my opinion. Staff was very nice. This is a good spot at Saratoga race track.

It was just my wife n I n we were seated with 3 young couples which was a real shot in the arm for us old folks. Meet new friends n was able to share a little old wisdom on handicapping!! Great food in Rt in the middle of the “action”!!! Will go back!!!

First class all the way. Have the ability to go outside to the rail to watch the race or stay inside in the AC was key (it was 95 when we were there). Pat and Mat waiters are the best !
