  • Platters, Coasters, Drifters - great evening

by zydecolady on 2/12/12Global Event Center at WinStar World Resort - ThackervilleRating: 4 out of 5

The Platters, Coasters, and Drifters delivered energetic performances featuring great vocals. Certainly worth the price and a load of fun. The lead singer for the Platters was awesome.....

  • Disappointing

by Hippottumus on 2/12/12Global Event Center at WinStar World Resort - ThackervilleRating: 2 out of 5

Disappointing. Would Probably not recommend. Band is definitely a mismatch and did more harm than good. Maybe a band with more 50's and 60's music instead of country would be a better fit

Did not think the event was worth the money at all. The singers were a disappointment.

  • Coasters were great

the coasters were the best band in the show. the wife and I really enjoyded them.

  • Costers & Platters & Drifters

by Girty on 2/12/12Global Event Center at WinStar World Resort - ThackervilleRating: 3 out of 5

The Costers were very good. They did 2 extra songs. The Platters were entertaining. They had several good songs. The Drifters were awful. The singer was awful. People started to leave during the Drifters.

90 minute show, 30 minutes each. Enough time for each to get through their hits and a few other songs thrown in. Mostly just the lead singer was an original, other newer (younger) folks fill out the group. The singers worked hard. The band was solid. A good show. The audience was mostly in their 60s, appropriate to the night. The Drifters closed the show, but it should have ben the Platters, since they had more/better hits.

  • Waste of Time and Money...So Disappointed!

by Texas908 on 2/12/12Global Event Center at WinStar World Resort - ThackervilleRating: 2 out of 5

The Platters were great, but why didn't they sing more of their own songs?...why other artists music when they have so many good ones of their own!? The Coasters opened with the Twist...again, not their songs or music...they were just OK. The Drifters, well forget them. They were terrible, couldn't even understand what the lead singer was saying (loose teeth?)...weak group, not what they used to be. Overall, a Sad performance. Looked forward to a Fun night...instead we were very disappointed and felt we wasted our money!

  • Fabulous show

by Queenie39 on 2/12/12Global Event Center at WinStar World Resort - ThackervilleRating: 5 out of 5

Everyone in the audience was having a wonderful time. They don't have the showmanship that these artists displayed anymore. What great memories they capture with their show. It was fun watching the performers enjoy themselves as well. It's a show that we would all go see again and again.

  • SOOOOOO MUCH FUN!

by foramici on 2/12/12Global Event Center at WinStar World Resort - ThackervilleRating: 5 out of 5

My husband and were teenagers in the late 50's and early 60's....so, we loved these groups and their music. We still knew all the words to the songs and we felt like dancing in the aisles. So many good memories associated with the music, too. The entire show from beginning to end was upbeat and fun and fabulous.....we will definitely go again, when they are in town.

This was one of the very best concerts I've seen! Brought back so many memories by these three groups! The three groups are 'perfect' together!

Very nice. Thought the Platters should have been the last act and it would have been nicer if they had done an encore but it was a very pleasant trip back in time and unlike Frankie Vallie, these guys didn't lipsynk. Had a lot of fun.

  • Great!

by Himikin on 2/12/12Global Event Center at WinStar World Resort - ThackervilleRating: 5 out of 5

This concert was fantastic. These three groups did a great job. We enjoyed every minute of each of their songs, performed just like they used to sound. We would love to sit through it again tonight. Thanks to all of them who really seemed to care about great entertainment.

  • Great Kareoke

by MrMikie on 2/12/12Global Event Center at WinStar World Resort - ThackervilleRating: 3 out of 5

Saw this show last year, different singers in all three bands. I know most all of the original members are either dead or very old and did not expect to see them, but these groups were peicemealed and some even shared members. The entertainment value was good, but did'nt care for the groups doing other groups material. Even a Platters tribute band plays only Platters. Probably won't go again.

This was upbeat, smooth moving and entertaining. It brought back lots and lots of good memories from my growing up years. The performers were all great and sounded wonderful.

I LOVED this concert. GREAT songs. Sounded like the originals. Audience was happy. Even my son and daughter in law who are in their 30's enjoyed it. Would go again.

  • These Stars Still Shine!

by JTNKAN on 10/5/11Tilson Auditorium - Terre HauteRating: 4 out of 5

We went expecting to see a show like we saw in Vegas several years ago with the full groups. Thought we would be sorry when we found out it was only the "Lead" singer of each group...Wrong... It was an excellent show! I guess these guys were the lead singers for a reason. Wow, they can still hit ALL the notes. How they do it I don't know but they can really belt it out. It was a very good blending of the different styles and songs. Each Star had their time in the spotlight and there was not a soft spot anywhere in the lineup.

  • The Platters performance was exceptional!

by Hunchamama on 9/7/11Heymann Performing Arts Center - LafayetteRating: 5 out of 5

The music and atmosphere of the performance was memorable. Since this was the music that my parents enjoyed, it made me appreciated their generation even more. Back to simplier times, with a class of music that is not often seen today. The performance reflected that class. Would recommend this event to all ages and remind them all to have an open mind to truly appreciate this genre of music!

  • Very entertaining.

We enjoyed the show very much, bringing the audience into the show was also very good.

  • Platters were better than anticipated.

by NSSASkeet on 4/10/11Grand Casino Mille Lacs Event Center - OnamiaRating: 5 out of 5

Platters had two outstanding voices and sang as memorable as the originals. All groups were outstanding with interaction with audience, came onto the auditorium floor to greet and shake hands during event. Had the famous and great songs. Very entertaining singing the songs everyone remembered and wanted to hear.
