Really good at recreating Pink Floyd. Played some obscure material...4 entire album sides
Band was tremendous. All band members were unbelievably talented and energetic (especially the keyboard player). One complaint: There was a blond woman sitting in the first row to the right of the stage who was a major pain in the ass. Not only was she distracting to the band members but she took away from an otherwise enjoyable evening for those seated nearby. Her excessive pointing at band members, whistling and yelling should have been addressed by the Wilbur staff. I've seen other audience members removed from venues for lesser offenses. Hopefully she will read this review and be more respectful to bands and fellow patrons in the future. By the way, "Which one's Pink?? CN
The original Pink Floyd had a special and unique sound that captured the imagination. As a great fan or theirs, I thought the Pink Floyd Experience was a great band that was very satisfying. Great light show as well.
Show was horrible, they didn't play the hits that just played album sides. Sound was horrible could not hear the singers over the instruments. Waste of money.
This is a solid experienced band that provides an excellent show. I very much appreciated the arrangements as they picked songs and instrumentals that blended well to represent the amazing spirit of Pink Floyd . I would recommend this band and would see them again perhaps when they return next year. I would give the show four and one half stars if possible. My only reservation is the light show and LED screen in the background became annoying at times as the screen lights pulsed and were low resolution, the spot lights often would project into the eyes of the viewer. That's the only low point of the show as I very much enjoyed the presentation. In summary, the musicians were evidently highly skilled and loved what they did and I'll go to their PFX concerts in the future. Lastly, I love the Wilbur Theater. They do whatever is reasonably possible for the sake of their customers and the sound quality, location, and ambiance make it one of my favorite venues.
The band is very talented. However, the lead singer did not sound at all like Roger Waters or David Gilmour. He sounded more like Geoff Tate from Queensryche. The lead guitarist has technically proficient, but missed out on what makes Gilmour great - the spaces between the notes. The singer/2nd guitarist also fell into the trap of playing too many notes, too fast. On the plus side, the sax player was amazing and the bassist was fun to watch (although he also brought a lot of his own style to the songs.) The only other Pink Floyd reference was the video screen and even that wasn't put to great use. And no flying pig - but that could have just been the venue. You expect a tribute band to be note-perfect. You give leeway to a cover band. PFE is more of a cover band.
Awesome show. The band really knows how to perform. You almost forget you're not seeing the real Pink Floyd!
Having seen Pink Floyd live a couple of times, I was looking forward to bringing my son & his friend, ages 14, to the Pink Floyd Experience - and was not let down! The musicianship and overall performance was amazing! These gentlemen really nailed Pink Floyd! The boys had a great time soaking up their performance and we all enjoyed the music and show. High marks for the Pink Floyd Experience!
Wish I picked my starts a little better the stage size wasn't what I expected. The band was amazing
Everything was great!!! Sound, production, music, showmanship, and of course, THE PIG!!!
Excellent show by the band and the Orpheum is a great venue. My only nit was that Echoes was played in the wrong tempo (too fast) but then artists often re-interpret or re-arrange music and it was still great. One more thing: the sound levels were not as crazy as some concerts, but they could lower them a bit -- after all the audience is getting on in years.
The sound at the orpheum was amazing. The bass and drums were on point! The entire show was great. I thought they would have a better light show though. The only member that didn't really have it that night was the lead guitarist. He seemed bored. Sax player kinda stole the show... He was bad ass. Singer was really good. I would see them again and im not the biggest floyd fan. Good job!!
We enjoyed the variety and selection of the music from the various albums. You experienced the entire range & progression of Pink Floyd.
We see them every time they come to Los Angeles; they are just spectacular. One of the tightest bands we've ever seen, they never disappoint. Fantastic show every time.
Great musicians who clearly love the Floyd. Had a fantastic night
Extremely well done on every level! Musicians did an awesome job, show was great, scene, decors, effects, etc were well planned and executed beautifully! 3 hrs of great Pink Floyd Experience! I've seen PFX before and they did not disappoint this time either!
We enjoyed the music and the Orpheum theatre was classic. The only thing I was unhappy about was the obstruction from my seat of the view of the stage. No warning was given prior to me selecting these seats on line. However other than that it was an awesome show!
Amazing show .. like it so much ... hope the band will make another show in Los Angeles
Way better than i was expecting. great musicianship. terrific performance.
