  • The Outlaws.......cannot be outlawed....

by EWULTD on 8/28/11B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Yes, I know the review title is a bit corny, but hey, this was a great show. I saw the Outlaws about a year ago, also at BB King Club. This show I was sitting at the stage, got great upclose pictures, and the video audio came out much better then expected. They played a surprisingly long setlist of 20+ songs, with the radio favorites, Hurry Sundown, There goes another Love Song, Green Grass & High Tides, with the encore, Ghost Riders in the Sky. Both guitarists were in excellent form, simply an excellent show all the way around. Jeff

  • Quite a surprise !!!

by EWULTD on 8/28/11B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Having never heard of this band, normally I'm not expecting for the opening band to be that impressive. Blackberry Smoke was impressive from the first song. They have the true southern rock look & sound, like a southern hillbilly. However, these guys are excellent musicians, have a great sound and lyrics. They also do not act, at least on stage during the show, do not act like a southern "redneck". I am already looking on iTunes or on their website for cd's to see what I can buy. I would definitely be interested in seeing them again in concert in NYC. Jeff

What a fantastic show. I was driving down the road in my 68 Barracuda again! They played all the hits and sounded better than ever.

They were outstanding - sounded great and this venue continues to be one of my "adult friendly" venues! Not a bad seat in the house!

Henry and the Boyz put on an awesome show. Great seeing them in a small venue. Thank you to the entire band for a most enjoyable evening. Blackberry Smoke warmed the stage up just fine. A talented bunch of Good Ole Boys.

  • Outlaws still the "Guitar Army!"

    by Cover2 on 8/28/11Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 5 out of 5

Henry Paul's voice is still as distinctive and engaging as ever and the latest line up plays the old and an appealing variety of new material like they have played together forever ("Green Grass and High Tides" forever).

Excellent guitar work as always form this band. Blackberry Smoke was good too but it was the Outlaws music that was the highlight, as it should be. The band was gracious and entertaining, and their riffs defintely lit up the room. I would recommend seeign this band to anyone who is a fan of southern rock.

I had the pleasure of seeing the outlaws at the starland ballroom on july 22 which happened to be my birthday. As a long time fan of the southern rock genre I have to say it was one of the most amazing shows I have ever seen. The band played thier hearts out even though it was a small venue. Henry Paul led a band of very seasoned and talented artists to recreate the southern sound that I fell in love with back in the 70 's. Billy Crain is so amazing that mere words cannot describe what a talented guitarist he is. I was blown away by his skills. The other band members were equally amazing and I cant wait to see them again at Penns Peak on aug 27. Though probably exhausted the outlaws did a meet and greet after the show and are really nice guys and signed my shirt for me. Long live southern rock and the outlaws. Its a matter of pride !

  • "Stunning the Starland in Sayreville"

    by freemone233 on 7/24/11Starland Ballroom - SayrevilleRating: 5 out of 5

The Outlaws roared into Sayreville, NJ on Saturday night and tore the venue into pieces! "Amazing" is an underemphasis as this band never ceases to send me into near delirium (and I've seen them eight times since May). From the opening harmonies of "Tomorrow's Another Night" to the closing crash of "Ghost Riders (In The Sky)," The Outlaws provided a capacity crowd with 100 minutes of stunning and stupefying Southern Rock symphony. If you have not seen this band, I strongly encourage you to attend upcoming performance. Once you see them, you'll never forget it and you'll be begging for more! I'm living proof of this assertion!

My first time seeing this band - I really didn't know their music - just a couple of songs. What can I say - they were on fire ! Really a great show - very impressive guitar work. I would definitely go see them again.

  • Incredible! Didn't miss a note!!!

The Outlaws are, and always have been, one of the greatest bands to set foot on a stage. Even with all the sad passings the band has faced over the years, they've managed to remain an absolutely awesome live performing unit.

One of the best concerts I have ever seen. Have been wanting to see the Outlaws for years, but was never available when they were in town or close by. Glad we were finally able to see them. It was amazing. They really can play!

  • Un-friggin-believable!

by GJMS on 6/1/11Pepsi Cola Roadhouse - BurgettstownRating: 5 out of 5

I had seen the Outlaws in the 70's and loved them. Since we are big Southern Rock fan my girl and I were in heaven. The music was great and the venue was the best I've been to. (If you ain't OUTLAW, you ain't a guitar player) It was a perfect night and a fantastic show. I hope they return next year.

  • The Outlaws - Don't Miss This Show!

by OutlawNewt on 6/1/11Pepsi Cola Roadhouse - BurgettstownRating: 5 out of 5

The Outlaws never fail to deliver. Great kick a$$ rock and roll. A mix of old classics and new material. The new material is outstanding, fits right in with the traditional Outlaws style of beautiful harmonies and smoking guitar riffs. These guys really give it their all, they leave nothing on the stage. It you get a chance to catch this show, don't miss it!
