About

The Offspring are a punk rock band from Garden Grove, California. Led by founding member, lead vocalist and guitarist Dexter Holland since 1986, The Offspring have released 11 studio albums and sold over 40 million records globally. The band’s self-titled debut arrived in 1989, followed by 1992’s Ignition and 1994’s Smash. Behind breakout Mainstream Rock Airplay singles “Come Out and Play,” “Self Esteem” and “Gotta Get Away,” Smash went on to sell over 11 million records, earn six RIAA platinum certifications and set the record for the highest-selling album released by an independent label. Ixnay on the Hombre in 1997 notched The Offspring’s first No. 1 single on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart with “Gone Away,” while 1998’s Americana hit the band’s chart peak at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 on its way to netting five RIAA platinum certifications and three more Alternative Airplay Top 10 singles: “The Kids Aren’t Alright,” “Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)” and “Why Don’t You Get a Job?” The Offspring later topped the Alternative Airplay chart again with “Hit That” from 2003’s Splinter and “You're Gonna Go Far, Kid” from 2008’s Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace. The Offspring logged two more Mainstream Rock Airplay chart-toppers with “Coming for You” and the title track from 2021’s Let the Bad Times Roll. In 2024, The Offspring released their 12th album Supercharged

by JoshR on 7/14/09WaMu Theater - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

The Offspring concert at the WaMu Theater was simply awesome. From the opening acts, Street Dogs and Alkaline Trio, to the encore, the artists brought on an amazing performance.

  • One of the best I've been too.

There are some bands that you absolutely love on the album and you go to their show and they don't sound as good as you thought (ex: Rob Zombie). This band; exactly opposite. Not only are they great on every album they have put out, they are even better live. the cool thing about this show is that they play a good amount of songs from each CD and they got the audience seriously involved in some of the songs. The intermission is not your average break session. They play a very amusing video on their TV thing and they even give the people in the pit some cheap fun with inflatable beach balls. It is a great use of money seeing these guys live.

  • The Offspring Rocked Out

by WillyTheMole on 7/14/09City Market - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

I am partial, as I have been jamming on The Offspring since the early 90's or so. I was actually rocking to them before some of the kids that came to the show were ever born. However, a bond was made with the concert goers, both young and old. Now The Offspring are awesome. It's my 3rd tour and I have to say they just keep getting better. This show in particular was very refined but still spontaneous. I had a great time and cannot wait to see them again next round. I should be about 47 by then! Will

  • Good Show

by Nicadeamus on 7/14/09WaMu Theater - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

Good show. They played all their hits and even added a piano solo with a twist.

  • The Offspring was okay

    by SuperSloth11 on 7/14/09WaMu Theater - SeattleRating: 3 out of 5

Maybe they're just getting old... maybe it was the venue... but I've seen the Offspring live many times before and this was the first time I was disappointed. First, the band only played for about 70 minutes, and that was with frequent breaks. Second, it was hard to tell if it was their sound equipment or the venue (I've heard other shows at the venue with no sound problem) but they did not sound as good as I'm used to them sounding.

  • offspring still rocks it

by bixler on 7/14/09Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

loved the show loved the venue...bought assigned seating and made it to the floor....wasn't ruined with too many new songs but in the future i wouldn't mind only old songs and x all the new stuff out

  • Simply Wonderful

by goredbirds on 7/14/09City Market - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

This was just a great show to start off the summer. City Market has to be one of the best venues to see a show in Kansas City. All of the bands were great, but I do have to say that Anberlin, Taking Back Sunday, and The Offspring were the best. They were all energetic and got the crowd going. This was my fifth time seeing Taking Back Sunday and for the fifth time in a row, they were not a let down. I had never seen The Offspring and I was amazed at how great the performance was. They sounded just like they do on their recordings, which is the showings of a great band, but they did add some extra mmmph to all their songs, seeing as they were live. All in all, it was a great concert.

  • they so jammed

    by j139M on 7/14/09WaMu Theater - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

lights, stage,it was worth the 11 yrs to wait to see them not in an mixed band event!!!!

  • Great Offspring concert! Do these guys age at all?

    by Rick09 on 7/14/09Tsongas Arena - LowellRating: 4 out of 5

Offspring and Sum 41 were both excellent. Only wish the Tsongas had a little less echo.

  • The Offspring ROCKS

  • WAMU BLOWS!

    by sk8chyk on 7/14/09WaMu Theater - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

The Offspring as always put on a kickass show! However the WAMU theater sucks! Beer is waaaay over priced and the sound quality is horrible.

  • Offspring was loud and awesome

by cujo on 7/14/09UBC THUNDERBIRD ARENA - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

Great sound at the concert, and the band wasted no time in going from one song to the next. they were also very entertaining. the concert could have been longer though.

  • Offspring had great energy!

by AHannah on 7/14/09WaMu Theater - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

Great Energy! Crowd was bumpin'. Awesome set list- unforgettable favorites to new classics.

  • Offspring needed a full soundcheck

by makeoneup on 7/14/09City Market - Kansas CityRating: 2 out of 5

way too much feedback through monitors - poor production overall

  • My first concert and I LOVED IT!

by Moldy on 7/14/09WaMu Theater - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

This show was absolutely amazing, simply put. Great intro acts; I particularly loved the Alkaline Trio. They did a great job warming up the crowd with some amazing punk music. And what can I really say about the Offspring? Aging, sure, but as amazing as ever, and I really felt involved in the show. As a final note, the venue: Qwest Field is the best place for shows in Seattle, hands down. KeyArena may be snazier, bigger and have more bangs and wizardry, but there is just something about the basics: A stage, a barrier and a floor full of moving fans. Absolutely exhilarating.

  • The Offspring rocked!

by Becaleck on 7/14/09WaMu Theater - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

I had a blast listening to one of my favorite live bands of all time! They played a great blend of old and new and it was great to see how they inspired the next generation of musicians!
