About

The Offspring are a punk rock band from Garden Grove, California. Led by founding member, lead vocalist and guitarist Dexter Holland since 1986, The Offspring have released 11 studio albums and sold over 40 million records globally. The band’s self-titled debut arrived in 1989, followed by 1992’s Ignition and 1994’s Smash. Behind breakout Mainstream Rock Airplay singles “Come Out and Play,” “Self Esteem” and “Gotta Get Away,” Smash went on to sell over 11 million records, earn six RIAA platinum certifications and set the record for the highest-selling album released by an independent label. Ixnay on the Hombre in 1997 notched The Offspring’s first No. 1 single on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart with “Gone Away,” while 1998’s Americana hit the band’s chart peak at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 on its way to netting five RIAA platinum certifications and three more Alternative Airplay Top 10 singles: “The Kids Aren’t Alright,” “Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)” and “Why Don’t You Get a Job?” The Offspring later topped the Alternative Airplay chart again with “Hit That” from 2003’s Splinter and “You're Gonna Go Far, Kid” from 2008’s Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace. The Offspring logged two more Mainstream Rock Airplay chart-toppers with “Coming for You” and the title track from 2021’s Let the Bad Times Roll. In 2024, The Offspring released their 12th album Supercharged

  • Awesome Awesome

by Suds on 7/16/09Roy Wilkins Auditorium at St. Paul RiverCentre - St PaulRating: 5 out of 5

The old boys still know how to Rock. The Offspring gave more energy then a lot of bands half their age. They played a great mix of their new album and their classics. Any one who likes good music could appreciate this show. The crowd was lively.

  • The Offspring was great, but the show ...

by Zamorskii on 7/16/09Roy Wilkins Auditorium at St. Paul RiverCentre - St PaulRating: 3 out of 5

The show that the Offspring put on was great with many old good songs and such, but the overall concert left some to be desired. Pauses between bands were so long and filled with some techno or rap crap that at times it seemed that I was at a concert of Timberlake.

  • THE OFFSPRING STILL GOT IT!!!!

    by Brunodawg7 on 7/16/09Lifestyle Communities Pavilion - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

SUMMARY: OFFSPRING STILL KICK @$$!!!!!! The opening band was on the totally forgettable side, but Dropkick Murphy's REALLY got the crowd pumped up and they had a great set, culminating in the lead singer telling everyone to sing along to the last song while he got down into the middle of the crowd and sang the entire song surrounded by fans (Really REALLY Cool). The Offspring balanced their set very evenly between their older, still kick-@$$ songs (including Bad Habit, Self-Esteem, Come Out and Play and Pretty Fly for a White Guy), and their newer, kick-@$$ songs, which if you listen to rock stations at all you'd know most of the songs, that's what my girlfriend says at least, i almost never listen to radio so that's why I bring this up.

  • The Offspring rules!!!!

by DexterNoodles on 7/16/09Lifestyle Communities Pavilion - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing Punk Rock Concert!!! I had never heard Time Again (the opening band) but they were great and able to get the crowd going. Dropkick Murphy's didn't disappoint either. The Offspring is one of my favorite bands and they did a fantastic job rocking Columbus! Thanks for the great experience guys!!!

  • So many songs i didnt realize were The Offspring

by English on 7/16/09Lifestyle Communities Pavilion - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

Took my son to see this show, i really went to see the Dropkick Murphys, but was surprised to find out how many Offspring tracks i knew from the radio and never realized who they were. We both really enjoyed both bands, great show guys :)

  • The offspring was amazing!!

I would recomend everybody to go see the offspring if you get a chance!!! these guys are amazing!! I have only been to one concert that was better!!

  • I love Dropkick Murphys

by krazykdogg on 7/16/09Lifestyle Communities Pavilion - ColumbusRating: 4 out of 5

Dropkicks were great as usual. (cant remember the last time I saw them when they wasnt headlining) The Offspring suprised me with how loud they played and how old they looked. Must mean I'm old. It was good to hear some old Offspring though.

  • Offspring/ Drop Kick cant go wrong

by shrekfx on 7/16/09Roy Wilkins Auditorium at St. Paul RiverCentre - St PaulRating: 5 out of 5

Wend to this in the city's in MN and let me tell you, you couldnt go wrong with this line up. The first band wasnt that great, no idea who they were, but Drop Kick was awsome and Offspring was Awsome!!! I would go to these 2 in a heart beat if they ever came back around this area.

  • Finally Offspring came to MN and ROCKED IT!

by Sassafrace on 7/16/09Roy Wilkins Auditorium at St. Paul RiverCentre - St PaulRating: 4 out of 5

I have been listening to Offspring since 7th or 8th grade same with my fiance'. We were so pumped that they finally came to a MN venue. We both had an awesome time and would difinitely go again. Highly recommened the show.

  • Kick @$$

by Kuwala on 7/16/09Roy Wilkins Auditorium at St. Paul RiverCentre - St PaulRating: 5 out of 5

Offspring was amazing! They really knew how to work the crowd. It seemed like the whole main floor turned into a mosh pit during Bad Habit, haha. I also like how they played a little music from all of their albums, not just from their newest album (even though their new album is awesome). It was almost nostalgic at some points - but not nostalgic enough to prevent me from jumping around and rocking out to it. :) Dropkick Murphys did an awesome job as well - I didn't know the majority of thier music, but they still made me dance around and get into it. This was definately one of the best concerts I've ever been to!

  • Offspring Play It By The Numbers

by mrgold on 7/16/09Lifestyle Communities Pavilion - ColumbusRating: 4 out of 5

The Offspring played at The LC on June 23, 2009. I timed it perfectly to arrive after the opening acts, coming in just as the horrible Dropkick Murphys were playing their last 2 songs. The Offspring are in a routine now where they play basically the same songs in the same order at each show. They switch a few songs out every other show, but you know what's coming. They played all their radio hits, and some selections from their last album; Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace. They also play a piano version of Gone Away, which does not fit with the emotional pain of the lyrics. Only the the screaming vocals and guitars of the original version can express that. Dexter Holland and Noodles kept the fan interaction to less than normal, just going into their songs by the numbers. The crowd was great, with two seperate mosh pits going, and constant surfing. The sound mix for the guitars sometimes did not blend correctly, something I've noticed at The LC many times. All in all it was a great show for an Offpring Fan. Hopefully they will make it back, except throw in a few other songs, and mix the song order up more.

  • The Offspring

by Zabes on 7/16/09Roy Wilkins Auditorium at St. Paul RiverCentre - St PaulRating: 5 out of 5

This concert was everything I hoped it would be. A very diverse crowd but everyone enjoyed the show as they played most hit songs and sounded very good. Played non-stop with the exception of a short break and the piano version of gone away which was very cool. I wish they would have played even longer!

  • OFFSPRING was awesome

    by offspringfan2222 on 7/16/09Lifestyle Communities Pavilion - ColumbusRating: 4 out of 5

It was a beautiful night for a concert. Offspring rocked the house. They put on such a good show, I wasn't ready for it to end.

  • Offspring rocked again!

by ShakeNBake on 7/16/09Roy Wilkins Auditorium at St. Paul RiverCentre - St PaulRating: 4 out of 5

Ive seen Offspring 3 times and each time they know how to get the crowd goin' and rock. The only complaint I had was they didnt sing my fav song..."Walla Walla."

  • Oldies but goodies

    by repen1984 on 7/16/09Lifestyle Communities Pavilion - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

I wouldn't say that The Offspring were the most energetic band I've seen recently, but they were entertaining. They sounded great and there was not a bad view in any area of the venue. We wanted to leave before they were finished so we didn't have to fight a crowd, but we couldn't help but to stay and listen. Great show.

  • Great concert, but far too short

by MYRYM on 7/16/09Lifestyle Communities Pavilion - ColumbusRating: 4 out of 5

Musically the entire concert was great. The Drop Kick Murphys provided a high energy opener for the Offspring and the Offspring continued in that vein throughout their show. The main reason that this show only got 4 stars instead of 5 was the fact that the Offspring only played about an hour and fifteen minutes and because they decided to play piano in the middle of the show. What a buzzkill!!!.

  • Offspring was awesome!

by Mitchbk99 on 7/16/09Roy Wilkins Auditorium at St. Paul RiverCentre - St PaulRating: 5 out of 5

I had a great time that night. Offspring was great they played a lot of songs and they sounded terrific. I was really happy they played Spare Me the Details, even if no one around me knew it. It was my first time crowd-surfing at a concert and i did it 3 times. The mosh pits were crazy but awesome too. Can't wait till they come back!!

  • Offspring is awesome live!

by mready on 7/16/09WaMu Theater - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

Offspring is just as good live as they are on their cds! I saw them in Seattle and had a ton of fun! They still know how to get a crowd excited!

  • Offspring: I wanna have their babies.

by Zacko on 7/16/09Roy Wilkins Auditorium at St. Paul RiverCentre - St PaulRating: 5 out of 5

Simply amazing. I have seen The Offspring twice before and this was easily the best of the shows. Not out promoting their latest CD Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace the Offspring came out swinging and ready to please fans. Playing such favorite as Gone Away, Gotta Get Away, Kids Aren't Alright, and Self Esteem the Offspring didn't disappoint. While not the largest nor the smallest venue, the legendary Roy Wilkins was a magnificent backdrop that provided ample room for a surprisingly intimate performance. Easily my favorite band ever, I was electrified to see them again and will gladly line up to see them next time they come to town.

  • Offspring was AMAZING

by Methuselah on 7/16/09Lifestyle Communities Pavilion - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was completely fantastic. They played a lot of their older music which was exactly what I was hoping for.
