Not enough Russell and show is XX

by Jangchub on 6/7/11Agganis Arena - Boston

I love Russell Peters but be aware that he does not do a whole stand-up routine but only bits interspersed between guests. Also the show especially the first guests are really raunchy, adults only, dont bring your teens unless you cant be embarrassed. Othewise truly funny.

    Pathetic

by gtyelljack on 6/7/11Agganis Arena - Boston

Lisa C was extremely crude, inappropriate and quite frankly - not funny at all.

    Russell Peters very good

by kdipas on 6/7/11Agganis Arena - Boston

Russell Peters was very good as usual. Talented and off the cuff. Lisa Lampinelli was awful as usual - no talent, just spewing vulgarities that anyone in the crowd could do just as well. Gabrial Iglesias was pretty good but not huge laughs

    Gabriel Iglesias & Russell Peters

    by PeaJay4 on 6/7/11Agganis Arena - Boston

In my opinion, Iglesias outshone Peters by doing more jokes and not just picking on auduence ethnicity. I know this is Peters' main talent but I expected a few new jokes at a live show he was headlining. Gabriel Iglesias was very good, connected with the audience and even went on overtime to do some of his old jokes as audience requests. However, the audience was constantly reminded not to record anything. So, where was the new material? Lisa Lampanelli is not my kind of comedian. Those 'jokes' are for 12 year olds... maybe.

would love to have newer materials from Russell Peters Gabriel Iglesias was very good Steve Byrne was good & I dont care for Lisa or her jokes.... bit over the top (for my taste, but I knew that coming in) so if Lisa was off this group, I would give it 5 stars

    Gabriel & Russell are GREAT!!!

by XPhaktor on 6/7/11Agganis Arena - Boston

OH MY!!! What a show put on by "The New Majority." Only LL was out of place. She needs to freshen her material. But Mr. Byrne did an excellent job, and Russell hosting and doing his thing in between was FANTASTIC. People loved getting picked on by him, he weaved them into his act very well. And what to say about Mr. Iglesias?? You think watching him on tv and hearing him do voices and sound effects is impressive, you have to see and hear him live to TRULY appreciate his talents. He was HILARIOUS!! And after his new material, people asked for his old pieces as well, it was crazy. If either Russell or Gabriel are in your area, GO SEE THEM!! They are Great at their craft!

    Hilarious !!

I enjoy the comedians, however the arena was very uncomfortable. I would not recommend a show at this facility.

IT was difficult to watch Gabriel miscue and then spend 1 hour trying to finish off his set...Russell was awesome and my entire crew was dissappointed that he merely was mc and did not do a dedicated set...

Would have liked to see more of Russell Peters. Title should have indicated the comedian with most exposure. Gabriel had too much time on stage.

    worth seeing

by jgpc on 6/6/11Agganis Arena - Boston

funny stuff. although peters didn't do a full set, per se, he did perform long enough at the beginning and in between the acts to more than make up for it. although iglesias went into overtime with his routine, it seemed to lose it's luster when a quarter of the crowd was up and leaving to catch the train before the rest of the audience left. all-in-all, it was a good show and i would see it again.

the show was absolutely amazing. all of the comedians went way out of their way not to reuse any material from prior shows. much love to Gabriel for going over the time limit when the show got started late as well!!! i would go see this show 20 more times if i could!!

The side kicks spoiled the show!

by wittyji on 6/6/11Agganis Arena - Boston

I purchased 4 tickets and drove from NY with my friends to see Russell Peters for the most part (let's say 95%) However I was pleasantly surprised with the very good stuff by Gabriel Iglesias & I did not mind that at all except that I would have loved to see more of RP than too much of Gabriel. But what killed it for me was the time that Mr Burns & Ms Lisa took from the whole show. They were not even close to what is expected off a quality stand up comedian. I was very disappointed, I did not pay that price nor drive 5 hrs each way to watch those 2 average comedians. They should probably perform at Carolines in NYC or something like that.

    Gabriel Iglesias was wonderful!

    by rolany2008 on 6/6/11Agganis Arena - Boston

Russell Peters is a true veteran in the business for that a large part of his jokes came from improvisation. He was pointing out the ethnical stereotypes for almost every race and characteristics of the people up front and made people laughing hard. He interacted with the audiance (mostly by making fun at specific persons in the crowd) and made lots of funny racial jokes. Gabriel Iglesias rocked the crowd. All of his jokes were new and hilarious until the end when he was asked to tell some of his old ones by the crowd. He also incorporated one of Russell's jokes about trains in HongKong with perfect timing. The audiance loved him so much that they kept him on stage until he passed the time that he booked the stadium for and hed to pay a penalty. He also told the Racist Basket Joke with a follow up (upon request) where he was the subject of a similar prank. Definitely my favorite comedian of all time!

Wanted more of Russell Peters. Too much Fluffy and Lisa Lampanelli was terrible. Was not as advertised. We felt like we wasted our money.

    Fluffy!!!!!!!

    by Raz1980 on 6/6/11Agganis Arena - Boston

Awesome show. Peters, Burns, and Fluffy were spectacular. Lisa was ok, but not my style. I would highly recommend this show I laughed my butt off. I laughed so hard when Burns was on that I started crying. Fluffy was incredible, did a lot of new stuff and some of his old stuff. Don't miss this show!!!!!!!
