About

When several hit TV programs like The Vampire Diaries, One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl and Grey’s Anatomy featured the Naked and Famous’ catchy-as-heck music, the buzz surrounding this New Zealand indie rock outfit became uncontainable, spreading to Great Britain, Europe, the U.S. and Asia. Fans couldn’t get enough of the anthemic, synthpop gems “Punching in a Dream,” “Young Blood,” “Girls Like You” and “Hearts Like Ours,” creating demand for Naked & Famous tickets around the globe. Critics and fans alike have praised their flawless live shows that conjure a mood both dreamy and danceable, reminiscent of acts like The Killers, MGMT, Passion Pit, and, at times, containing hints of Björk and Kid A-era Radiohead. Alisa Xyalith and Thom Powers vocals blend in harmonic perfection over moderate tempo synth beats, belting out highly melodic, bittersweet tunes that are an odd blend of melancholy and exuberant. No wonder that fan devotion is off the charts, making The Naked & Famous concert tickets valuable commodities indeed.

    Amazing show

by mcarlson77 on 10/19/11The Music Box - Hollywood

This is my 3rd time seeing them in the past 9 months in LA. They are an amazing band. Lucky to see them in these smaller venues...since I think they will be in large venues in no time.

Feel sorry for an Awesome band....

by rderama on 10/18/11The Music Box - Hollywood

This show was SOLD OUT. people were outside trying to buy tickets. Opening acts were better than good. I thought people were saving their energy for TNAF but when the show started and with a few cheers, the crowd was very DISAPPOINTING. Being an Angelino, born and raised, I am really ashamed of the crowds' vibe. I prefer to sit up stairs to watch the crowd get into the show. But not this show. I admit i just caught on to the band and was upset that I didn't hear about them earlier. TNAF sounded great! cant knock them on not one thing. I am looking forward to their show in Santa Ana

The Naked and Famous were fabulous, as always. The openers, White Arrows and The Chain Gang of 1974 totally rocked, and exceeded my expectation!! They were a blast to watch and put on a great show! I got to meet some of the band members, which made my day. I would definitely recommend going to this show!

I would hesitate to recommend seeing most "alternative" acts live if you haven't heard the recording a few times and know what to listen for in the usually muddy, often sloppy real-life version. But The Naked and Famous are just as tight and polished live as they are coming out of your iPod, only with a better sound system and surrounded by a thousand-odd fans. At the same time they mixed it up enough to keep it interesting and seemed genuinely thrilled to be performing, even in the midst of what has to be a pretty grueling tour.

Naked and Famous - almost too much talent

    by Alejandro3214 on 8/27/11Lee's Palace - Toronto

They were incredible. I feel very fortunate to have seen them in such a small venue, because they should be in a bohemith stadium.

This was my first time seeing The Naked and Famous, and they were exactly as great as I anticipated based on their live videos. They have so much energy and really engage the audience. Loved them.

Great show by The Naked and Famous. This was my fourth time seeing them in L.A. this year and they get better and better every time. In that short period they have gone from carrying their own equipment at Bardot, with awkward onstage presence, to full on rock stars at the Music Box. If you haven't had a chance to catch them yet i highly recommend seeing them in october when they come back to the Music Box

I don't want to be either naked or famous but both

by markeels on 8/4/11The Music Box - Hollywood

The show is electrifying! They are powerful and skilled! Just a reminder: this particular set up is a little bit too loud for the space. My ear hurts for a day after the show! Hope they could be aware of that next time. But great show and music!

Excellent show at a great place to see an up and coming band up close. Both bands were on time. The grand finale Young Blood was as good as it gets. They announced they are coming back to the same place Oct 17.

I saw the Naked and Famous with White Sea. Both bands were pretty awesome. I hadn't ever heard of White Sea, but I enjoyed them very much so. Naked and Famous was great as well... i heard all my favorite songs and I intend to see them again in October.

    Off the Wall

by IAmDragon on 8/4/11The Music Box - Hollywood

This show was amazing!!! I'm a newly recruited TNAF fan, and seeing them perform live was unforgettable! They were energetic and sounded just as great, or better, as they do on their album. White Sea, also a first time seeing them, rocked the house with high vocals and heavy bass. Jumping around the stage groovin to their sound provided for a fabulous performance. WOULD SEE THEM AGAIN!!
