New album Always With Me out now. The Movement has been winning the hearts and minds of alternative-reggae fans since their inception in Columbia, SC in 2003. Drawing inspiration from Sublime, 311, Slightly Stoopid and John Brown's Body, they've made a name for themselves as reggae shapeshifters with a foundation of heavy drum and bass. Today the band consists of founding member, lead vocalist and guitarist Joshua Swain, bassist Jason Schmidt, drummer Gary Jackson, and keyboardist/multi-instrumentalist Matt Goodwin. Their seventh studio album, Ways Of The World (2019) debuted at #1 in the Billboard Reggae Chart, and remained in the Billboard Reggae Top 10 for more than 40 consecutive weeks. The band's eighth studio album Always With Me - out July 29, 2022 on the band's R4RE Records imprint - explores new musical territory while staying true to their champion sound. Featuring collaborations from their influences-turned-peers, Slightly Stoopid, Iration, and Clinton Fearon, and contemporaries HIRIE and Soom T, for The Movement, the only path is forward; pushing the boundaries and the future of reggae.

    I love the good vibe music. Helped me get out of a depressed mood..All songs are awesome. And the energy they perform with was the best!! I would go again 1000% and see The movement!✌️

    Either the venue had sound problems or the bands' mixing board was defective. The sound was terrible, too little bass and TOO much treble. Had to leave before this show was over because the sound was way off. Saw Steel Pulse at Ballroom the day before and they sounded awesome.

    Great show, great venue, and the energy is always second to none. The Casino is a very unique location, very intimate and never a bad view. Kids, adults, and every genre was singing and dancing. This band is amazing!

    Band was awesome. I enjoy them and they were much better then thought live on stage. Brooklyn Bowl venue on the other hand was super hot upstairs. Poor air conditioning. Other wise super clean place and nice vibe.

    They are one of my favorite bands ! Go see them live !! You will not be disappointed. The music is so good and bass heavy ! Also the crowd is nothing but great vibes. Everyone was so kind . Can't wait for next time ! ❤️

    We have seen The Movement 4 times and their shows are incredible. Along with Long Beach Dub Allstars we knew it would be epic and indeed it was.

    Everything about this show was amazing! The whole band brought such amazing energy and a level of passion that showed. Lights and audiovisual were so sick and spot on! Met a couple band members after the show and both were super friendly as I fan girl’d out. Just an amazing energy from beginning to end. It was by far my favorite of the 3 times I’ve seen them now. Please come back to the Elm! ❤️💚💛
