21 years between my MMB concerts and this one was right up there with the first. They still bring the house down. The Fillmore is still one of the best music venues in the Bay Area too. The whole experience was amazing.
Awesome show, great venue, I wish more bands would play the Neptune and not shobox sodo
They delvered a very powerful set! They put 110% in everything. They love thier fans. Thanks.
A great set list incorporating old favorites, new tunes that really work well live, and of course all the hits the fair-weather fans want to hear. The boys can still bring the heat, and still put on a heck of a show.
I frst saw the Mighty Mighty Bosstones in the early 90s in Boston at Boston College with my older brother. I saw the Mighty Mighty Bosstones again in Seattle at the Paramount in the late 90s. At the Neptune Theatre the Mighty Mighty Bosstones still sounded as great as ever! My wife went with me this time, having never heard them before, and loved them, too! I love the brass in the band!
I love the Bosstones; it wouldn't be the holiday season without the Throwdown! They brought the magic, as usual. Such a great trio of shows!
Incredible shows all three nights. Set lists unparalleled. If you are a Bosstones fan and haven’t made it to Throwdown yet, I can’t recommend it enough. Unlike any show you’ve ever been to.
12/27 – Mighty Mighty Bosstones HomeTown ThrowDown @ House of Blues, Boston Another gem. They dug back into the old school tonight with ‘They Came To Boston’, ‘The Cave’ and ‘Hope I Never Lose My Wallet’ ‘Toxic Toast’ and ‘737/Shoe Glue’ and another 22 songs, including a cover of The Clash’s ‘Rudie Can’t Fail’.
No band should ever use the house PA. The Bosstones sound better with bigger PA.
Great sound, great energy, good mix of songs. Overall an awesome show.
12/29 – Mighty Mighty Bosstones HomeTown Throwdown Night 2 @ House of Blues, Boston – The night got off to a wild start with have-to-see-‘em-to-believe-‘em Peelander Z from Japan and Porkers from Australia. The Bosstones were starting to loosen up with a set split among oldies ‘He’s Back’, ‘Don’t Know How To Party’ and the more recent ‘Sunday Afternoons on Wisdom Ave.’,’Graffiti Worth Reading’,’Mr. Moran’, the live debut of rarity ‘Providence Is’ and finishing with ‘Holy Smoke’ into a furious version of ‘Lights Out’
Very disappointing show. They played for less than 30 minutes. We stood in line to get inside longer than they played.
The Throwdown is always amazing! Looking forward to Throwdown 20
I have seen them so many times and they never fail to deliver. Best most consistent live band. Bar none.
This year's throw-down was one of the best I have attended (14 of 18). An amazing amount of energy and the tribute to the old RAT was really great. A grate time had by all!
This was my first time seeing Big D and the Kids Table. It won't be my last. Their energy was infectious. They are a lot of fun to watch. The musicians in Fishbone are masterful and put on a great stage show. Mighty Mughty Bostones great musicians, great tunes, great performers. The seats in the balcony are very comfortable, and the view is great. Perfect for a geezer punk like me.
Bets live act ever,,, traveled everywhere to see their shows... cant wait til next time
I will always go to the bosstones shows,,, incredible artist!!! the boston throwdowns are the best
The Bosstones played a great show. The band was energetic and they played their asses off. Set list was great and Dickie and Ben never disappoint with their stage performance. My heart hurts a little because I am missing Throwdown in Boston this year but at least I got to see this awesome performance!!!
