THE MENZINGERS IN CONCERT:
Punk-rock quartet the Menzingers has developed a strong cult following since debuting in 2007 with A Lesson in the Abuse of Information Technology. With their driving guitars, infectious energy, and commanding stage presence, the Menzingers put on one killer performance after the next for new fans and diehards alike. Whether they're tearing through some of their earlier fan-favorites or belting out tracks like "Where Your Heartache Exists" from 2014's Rented World, the Menzingers will have concertgoers headbanging all night on their Rented World Summer Tour 2014 alongside Lemuria, Pup, and Cayetana.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
The Menzingers formed in the small town of Scranton, Pennsylvania, when members from Bob and the Sagets and Kos Mos merged to create a new punk sound. After the release of their 2007 debut A Lesson in the Abuse of Information Technology, the Menzingers boosted their already-growing reputation with several adrenaline-filled tours.. Since then the band has released three more popular albums, including 2014's Rented World, secured opening spots for Anti-Flag and Against Me!, and become staples in the punk-rock scene. One of the latest and greatest acts in the genre, the Menzingers continue to treat lucky ticket buyers to powerful sets on their hard-hitting tours, packing venues to capacity, like Summit (Denver) and The National (Richmond).
The Menzingers always bring the energy. The crowd is great along with their sad but very upbeat sing along music.
Great show. The openers weren't that good, but The Menzingers played 20 songs, so well worth it.
This is one of my favorite bands and was a big even for personal reasons for me. I had an amazing time, made some single serving friends, screamed my heart out, and loved every single second of it. I can't wait to see them again.
Awesome show, great bands, The Menzingers were tight, Heaven was a way better venue than Purgtory
That venue is selling drinks at stadium prices and it’s like a 500 capacity room
First time in that particular room at the Steel Stacks, sound was great. As always there's ample free parking available and the Menzingers put on a really great show. Had no clue on the openers but they fit well, it was a cohesive show overall.
Fantastic venue, small but well distributed space and served by two great bars. The opening bands were awesome, so was the headlining one
The musikfest cafe is a small venue with a max capacity of about 400. However, the small venue offered for a great atmosphere during the concert. All of the bands that performed were amazing!
I have seen The Menzingers about 5 times now and they never disappoint! They always sound amazing, have the best energy and really strive to give you your money’s worth. The venue was at the Steel Stacks and was easily one of the coolest venues I have been to!
the Menzingers put on another awesome, fun, energetic show. Also, the venue was very personable and had an awesome backdrop of the steel stacks. I would highly recommend this venue and of course seeing the band!
Tigers Jaw was great and played a mix of their new/old songs. Another great thing was, there was $5 beer instead of $10 (which most venues do).
I love port city. They never disappoint, and the menzingers kicked ass.
The whole show was a great time but Microwave really killed it. 10/10 would recommend Microwave to anyone and everyone!
These bands always put on a great show, but this venue made their sets incredible. No matter where you ended up, the view was great. The staff was friendly and cared about the people in the crowd (from bouncers to bar tenders and event security). No lines for drinks or bathrooms, all around a great time.
The Menzingers kicked ass. The Cabooze was a great venue with I felt like a lot of space, friendly employees, and a good crowd. The beer was decently priced and they even had tables and bar stools.
Disappointed in mewithoutYou's setlist because they played mostly new songs. Sort of my fault for not listening to the new album more beforehand, but they only played 3-4 older songs. Menzingers were a blast, playing every hit song their fans wanted to hear. Crowd energy was awesome, they sounded great, and I had a blast.
I've seen The Menzingers multiple times now and this was easily their best show to date. They started out strong and ended on a strong note, as well. The setlist was a perfect mix of old and new songs, although there were a few songs (Sun Hotel and Mexican Guitars) that could have been added in to make an absolutely amazing show. The opening bands were AWESOME and such great picks (unlike some duds in the past). I totally recommend seeing The Menzingers at least once in your life
The Menzingers had a huge impact on the crowd. It was obvious by how everyone was screaming the lyrics and throwing themselves into the crowd.
The show The Menzingers put on was amazing in of itself, but the venue was also great. The staff was friendly and helpful, no drama with the staff. I would love to attend shows here again.
The opening band Ma Jolie were amazing. they should be headed to bigger and better things. A very tight Band with some great songs, the 2 bands in between were ok at best. The Menzingers really tore the house down, rowdy and fun. loved the show.
