About

THE MENZINGERS IN CONCERT:

Punk-rock quartet the Menzingers has developed a strong cult following since debuting in 2007 with A Lesson in the Abuse of Information Technology. With their driving guitars, infectious energy, and commanding stage presence, the Menzingers put on one killer performance after the next for new fans and diehards alike. Whether they're tearing through some of their earlier fan-favorites or belting out tracks like "Where Your Heartache Exists" from 2014's Rented World, the Menzingers will have concertgoers headbanging all night on their Rented World Summer Tour 2014 alongside Lemuria, Pup, and Cayetana.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

The Menzingers formed in the small town of Scranton, Pennsylvania, when members from Bob and the Sagets and Kos Mos merged to create a new punk sound. After the release of their 2007 debut A Lesson in the Abuse of Information Technology, the Menzingers boosted their already-growing reputation with several adrenaline-filled tours.. Since then the band has released three more popular albums, including 2014's Rented World, secured opening spots for Anti-Flag and Against Me!, and become staples in the punk-rock scene. One of the latest and greatest acts in the genre, the Menzingers continue to treat lucky ticket buyers to powerful sets on their hard-hitting tours, packing venues to capacity, like Summit (Denver) and The National (Richmond).

The Menzingers, A Wilhelm Scream, and Ramona put on a great show! The venue was perfect for a punk rock show.

    Touche Amore

by Chuck Dee on 2/17/23Summit - Denver

I was there for touche amore, and even though their set was short, they were still great. I'd really like to have seen them headline a show, with double the set time. Haven't heard too much from the menzingers, but my buddy is a big fan. He seemed to have liked it.

Needs more sound, mid room speakers and less people pushing

by Been there done that on 1/10/23Mercury Ballroom - Louisville

Overcrowded. Lots of drunk people not respecting personal space. As a female I got shoved or pushed from back in the crowd several times. An area not even close to the stage (the is not a hard or fast band). Two guys behind me where so close they were rubbing up against my back. It felt unsafe, People just forcing their way to the front of the stage, shoving, . With this band I did not expect this kinda crowd as I have seen them play even this tour at other venues. Maybe better crowd control and watching the over served and showing them the door. Not comfortable lay out of venue, need incline on main floor, better structure not just overcrowding going far back. Drinks priced 12 for canned beer??? This venue clearly is all about money and how many bodies it can fit in to make max profit. Bummer a band like The Menzingers are playing these types of shows now. There sound was off too just coming from the front stage.

    I like the Menzingers

by Guy Who Likes The Menzingers on 1/7/23House of Blues Cleveland - Cleveland

I saw The Menzingers play music and they were very good at it. The venue did not give everyone free ice cream and I think it would be nice if they did so in the future.

    Freaken Awesome!!!

    by V. R. on 12/15/22

I went by myself, bought a sun hotel shirt, and crowd surfed like 4 times!!! The crowd was the best I’ve experienced, I’ve been to 3 of their shows already and I still can’t get enough!

The band was great. Venue had horrible sound.

by Nick on 12/12/22Ace of Spades - Sacramento

I’ve lived in Sacramento for just over a year now. Everyone always tells me I gotta go to the Ace of Spades. It’s such a great venue. Be warned. The sound was horrible. The vocals were way too overpowering and drowned out the rest of the band. This was for 3 different bands, so it wasn’t just a one time thing. If you can find other places to watch your band play do so. Menzingers killed it.

    great band, bad venue

by adam on 5/17/22House of Blues Boston - Boston

this venue has gone downhill so much since it first opened. all security/event staff are phoning it in (with the exception of the bartenders). i would rather see a show at literally any other boston venue.

We only went for Sincere Engineer, who were fantastic

Menzingers rocked the house as usual!

by Sliced Pyzza on 5/9/22The Masquerade - Heaven - Atlanta

Sincere Engineer opened the night with a shortish set and completely blew the roof off. Those who knew, knew. SE is an amazing band with a very unique style of punk rock vocals. They were a breath of fresh air! Oso Oso was fine. Maybe a bit out of the norm for a Menzos tour, but they were very tight musically, but I saw lots of yawns during their set. But, like I said, musically, they were fantastic. On to the Menzingers. I've seen them about 20 times now, and they age like a fine wine. From emotional oldies-sounding riffs and lyrics to thrashing screams about having horrible times, the Menzingers run the audible gamut from Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons to Minor threat (or your old roommate's band). They prove once again that they are one of the hardest working (punk) rock bands out there. The band never comes off as snotty, they interacted with the crowd, and had a nice balance of Tom- and Greg-led songs. 11/10 would go again!

    What a great show

Tons of energy from this line up. It's been a long time since I've had that much fun at a show.

Great Band at an okay venue.

by Casual Punk fan on 4/6/22Roxian Theatre - Pittsburgh

LOVE the band. The Menzingers deliver the best shows...high energy and no filler. Great song after great song. I don't love this venue for them. The sound is average and the floorspace really limits the views of the stage because most of the standing area is at or above stage level. So, you are looking through the crowd rather than up at the band. And I have to mention, the drink prices are fantastically high.

Great night at the Scranton Cultural Center!

by Local Punk Fan on 11/29/21Scranton Cultural Center - Scranton

My wife and I arrived just as the doors opened. We were lucky enough to get right up front and maintain our excellent spot for the remainder of the night. James Barrett, and the dirty nil, we’re excellent openers, and the Menzingers didn’t disappoint! I love the set up at the cultural center, it’s a very fan friendly set up, clean, and there isn’t a bad view in the house. Can’t wait for the next big show to come through, I so miss live music, and happy I didn’t miss a chance to indulge.

Great lineup and venue. Elway was great and the Menzingers just crushed it as always. One of the most fun bands you can go see live right now.
