Never saw their show before. Didn't know what to expect. Excellent concert. Want to see them again and again.

The Marshall Tucker Band on Tour
Southern rock pioneers The Marshall Tucker Band have created legendary music like "Can't You See" and "Fire on the Mountain" since the '70s. While the members have changed over the years, the music that defined a generation remains the same. The rockers still energize stadiums with their iconic sound that combines rock, jazz, country, righteous guitar solos, and instrumental jam sessions. The Marshall Tucker Band hit the road in 2022 for a tour of the U.S. in celebration of 50 years of making great music. So whether you're a die-hard fan of five decades or just looking for an excellent Southern rock performance, be sure to grab tickets to see the band on their 50th Anniversary Tour. You won't be disappointed.
The Marshall Tucker Band Live in Concert
The '70s were a golden age for pop-rock music, and The Marshall Tucker Band led the charge as a new wave of Southern rock bands began to emerge. In 1972, guitarist Toy Caldwell and rhythm guitarist George McCorkle formed the six-piece in South Carolina and named the band after a blind piano tuner whose name they found inscribed on their rehearsal space key. The original lineup consisted of Caldwell, his brother Tommy Caldwell on bass, McCorkle, vocalist Doug Gray, Jerry Eubanks on flute and tenor sax, and Paul Riddle on drums. The group initially gained recognition on tour with The Allman Brothers Band and found continued success thanks to their classic Southern melodies that were perfect for radio. The group's self-titled debut album was released in March 1973 and included the hit single "Can't You See," peaking at No. 17 on the Billboard 200 chart. The Marshall Tucker Band took a brief break in 1980 after the death of bassist Tommy Caldwell, but the band was revived with a new lineup and began touring again in 1983. The group mostly stuck to their musical roots, but they did take some brief detours to explore other genres with 1998's all-blues album Face Down in the Blues and the 1999 spiritual album Gospel. Overall, The Marshall Tucker Band have released over 20 studio albums and dozens of live releases, which have collectively gone multi-platinum many times. The band remains active to this day, touring throughout the United States and celebrate their 50th anniversary on tour in 2022.

The Marshall Tucker Band was increadible
by turtlerock on 4/21/15Lawrenceburg Event Center - LawrenceburgRating: 5 out of 5I liked the way they kept the audience engaged, the music was awesome.
The Marshall Tucker Band hasn't missed a beat!!
by Anonymous on 4/21/15Lawrenceburg Event Center - LawrenceburgRating: 5 out of 5Only one of the original band members but they still have the same sound. I almost hate to say it, but the new members are every bit as talented as the Caldwell brothers. They definitely know what the MTB is all about and where they come from. It was an awesome event! Can't wait to see them again.
Marshall Tucker was amazing
by 50somethinggirl on 3/24/15The Paramount - HuntingtonRating: 5 out of 5Loved Marshall Tucker! The only issue we had was the lead singer. We could not understand what he was singing. Everyone else sang amazing!!
A great Band that needs help
by sam1011 on 3/24/15The Paramount - HuntingtonRating: 1 out of 5I love Marshall Tucker but Doug Gray cannot be put in a position to fail. Jamming was too long. play all the best songs for 5 min each. The crowd would love it. Let the other musicians sing every song Doug used to sing. At one time I looked at the full house and no one was moving.
not as good as I hoped
by Sakaya on 3/24/15The Paramount - HuntingtonRating: 2 out of 5They only played a few of their old songs did not like the newer ones. The band ruined the best song by having the audience fill in some of the lyrics.
marshall tucker band
by BROCKSASHA on 3/24/15The Paramount - HuntingtonRating: 2 out of 5the ticket or anywhere else did not indicated to me there were 2 warm up bands the main event started at 10 when the ticket said 8, the seat i was siting in had an obstructed view and there was no mention of that on the ticket or the website either. i liked the music the band was good but played for a little more then an hour, the lead singer talked to much.

I was very much looking forward to this show. They have 4 popular songs-they only played 2 of them. They sounded awful. Songs went on way too long. We left before the end of the show.
Lead SInger needs to hang it up !!!!
by Totallydisgusted99 on 3/24/15The Paramount - HuntingtonRating: 1 out of 5This was absolutely one of the worst concerts I have ever attended. The lead singer has lost his ability to sing yet he keeps trying. I thought something was wrong with the microphone when he started the first song. He makes Bob Dylan sound wonderful.
MT at the Bergen
by ferdi2u on 3/23/15Bergen Performing Arts Center - EnglewoodRating: 4 out of 5Marshall Tucker did well under the circumstances but it was painfully evident that the Bergen Performing Arts Center needs to get to the 21st Century in a hurry if they want to draw solid audiences. The sound system is about as old as the building and when you add portable equipment it is a recipe for disaster. With Doug Gray's mike malfunctioning the band mixed up the set and held their own while Doug waited around and occasionally got to belt out a tune. The Band still rocked it out as expected but the evening left a feeling of not quite right in your mind.

Terrible show even left early. Had good seats but lead singer needs to retire I'm sorry to say
Doug Gray can't sing anymore
by wsc26times on 3/23/15Bergen Performing Arts Center - EnglewoodRating: 2 out of 5I am sorry to say that Doug Gray cannot sing anymore, even though the last time that I saw Tucker he had problems , this time I said it is going to be the last time I spend money to see The Marshall Tucker Band. The band itself played really good but Doug can't sing, they should take an approach similar to Ian Andersen and enlist a young guy to sing and have Doug be just a front man and tell his stories. I love the venue and the town that it is in , great restaurants , worth the trip to see a band that you like.
Horrifying
by Jetlaggedandbummed on 3/23/15Bergen Performing Arts Center - EnglewoodRating: 1 out of 5I flew in a day early from China and drve in a snow storm to see this band and boy was I disappointed. With the exception of a few moments of brilliance mainly from the Organ/Sax/Flute player it was a total abomination. The antics of the washed up singer (Marshall Tucker?) were disturbing to say the least. When you can't sing anymore please get off the stage. The tickets were an Xmas gift to my wife and I wish I could return them. Awful !!
Marshall Tucker did not bring their A Game
by Anonymous on 3/23/15Bergen Performing Arts Center - EnglewoodRating: 3 out of 5I am in my 50's now and realize that I probably at this point in my life have come to expect greatness still when I attend concerts. Last year I saw REO Speedwagon and Chicago and they still rock! MTB, mainly Doug Gray, talked more than they played music. The sound system at BPAC was not very good and Doug realized that as he stopped one song in midstream! I don't blame the band for that but these are their crew, right? Always loved Doug's voice but just not the same anymore and some words which I know by heart, I honestly couldn't understand. The sax, flutist, keyboardist was simply incredible and kept me into the concert. Don't want to bash one of my favorite bands but I was extremely disappointed. Even the girls they brought on stage had zero rhythm! I would not go see MTB again.
Doug - Please Retire
by JJRromNJ on 3/23/15Bergen Performing Arts Center - EnglewoodRating: 2 out of 5Band was great. Doug Gray was brutal. Saw them last spring and it was clear he was losing it. We'll it went from bad to worse as he was an embarrassment on Friday night. His voice is shot. He roams around the stage like a cruise director - very distracting. Many people walked out during the show. The band has two people (keyboard/flute player and lead guitarist) that are good singers. Let them sing!!!!! Would have been a great show without him.
Sound check?
by Pparisi65 on 3/23/15Bergen Performing Arts Center - EnglewoodRating: 2 out of 5Although the band sounded amazing the lead vocals did not. They stopped playing part way through the first song to do another sound check. Shouldn't this have been done prior to taking the stage? Everything was ok for a couple of songs then he sounded as if he was submerged in water. Will not go see them again.

MTB WAS GOOD. But they had issues with lead singers microphone and they had to take time out for another sound check. Other band members where singing excellently. The last few concerts at the Bergen Pac Center had the volume up way to loud. Its a small venue but they turn the volume up so loud you cant hear what they are singing. WE ARE HOPING THAT MTB WILL BUY NEW SOUND EQUIPMENT AND DO A BETTER SOUND CHECK NEXT TIME.
A stinkeroo!
by AlanfromBrooklyn on 3/23/15Bergen Performing Arts Center - EnglewoodRating: 1 out of 5I see a lot of shows, maybe 30 a year. This was the worst show I've seen this year, not because the band doesn't play well.....they're great players.....but Doug Gray, the long time lead singer of this band, is just so annoying on stage that it makes the band unwatchable and nearly unlistenable. Terrible sound didn't help. Either Gray was drunk or he's just so full of himself that his ego takes over and ruins these beautiful songs. He constantly brings women up on stage from the audience, which is distracting. He grabs them from behind in a feeble attempt to teach them how to bang the tambourine he gives them, but he's way too close and it's way to stupid to watch, especially in this day and age.
THE SHOW
by Dennisblues69 on 3/23/15Bergen Performing Arts Center - EnglewoodRating: 5 out of 5FIRST BAND WAS STOLEN RHODES. THEY WERE REAL GOOD A LOT OF GOOD GUITAR PLAYING. MARSHALL WAS A LITTLE TOO LOUD HAD AN ECHO TO THE MUSIC. OVER ALL THEY WERE VERY GOOD WHEN WE WENT TO THE LAST ROW. THE SOUND WAS A LOT BETTER. THAT ABOUT SUMS IT UP!
Marshall Tucker Big Disappointment
by KLBNJ on 3/23/15Bergen Performing Arts Center - EnglewoodRating: 1 out of 5We left after the third song. Not only were they late getting on stage but the lead singer stopped the first song (which was unrecognizable), half way through demanding a sound check. We decided to give it a fair try and stayed for two more songs. It became apparent that he was hammered and unable to perform. Hats off to the rest of the band for trying to salvage the situation. Big dissapointment!
