Does 1960s and 70s band is still going strong! Birchmere was a perfect place to see them in their synchronized rhythms and dance moves. Doesn’t get better than this.
The Manhattans brought a great show. We had a wonderful time. It was good hearing the Manhattans sing their songs. The group was amazing and Gerald Alston, the lead singer, still has it going on.
I took my Mom as a Christmas/Birthday gift. She loves The Manhattans. The show was very good. I just may go back and see them again in November.
I was born in 1972, but I remember all the great songs . The soulful sounds of Love, Heartbreak, and Making Up to Love Again were such a memorable soul soundtrack of my parents generation, my generation, and equally relevant today! R&B and Soul Masters!!!
These guys are fantastic. Great songs, sung well with over the top stage presence and audience engagement.
I was in the last row, last seat in the corner with 2 other people. People constantly walking back and forth. Others waiting to be seated.
Music, Drinks,Food, Customer service all wonderful and made my experience more enjoyable. But the upstairs upper pier needs more lighting because there was so many senior citizens who couldn't see the stairs and how to get to there seats and I ended up having to go downstairs and ask the manager to send a usher upstairs because there was no ushers to assist and help. And the manager did and it made the experience even more wonderful.
We really got our money worth. Didnt realize that many groups were going to be there. But the main group(Matthan) didnt sound good. The music was playing louder than them singing. If I knew it was going to be like that, i would have left earlier than i did before the big crowd.
Where do I start, all the performers were outstanding. They had everyone down memory lane. The old school music had you dancing in your seat throughout the entire show. Each performance was getting better and better. Their songs sounded like their original, they didn’t miss a beat. Their moves were smooth and their outfits took you back to the good times we had back in the 70's. I love the old school music to me that's the greatest sounds ever. I didn’t want to leave. Keep the old school music alive forever!!!!
Access into the venue was quick and easy. We had great seats, the bathrooms were very clean, staff was friendly, courteous and helpful. The sound system was great, they had a huge selection of groups, who were very entertaining. The music was soooo great!
The sound system could have been better. The acoustic could have been better not really good sound from the side and back of auditorium.
Friendly staff, nice venue. Groups where awesome. Well worth the money spent.
Only problem was too many local groups that short change the original groups. They were not able to sing as many of their hits so because the local groups took up too much time. Other than that best show yet I truly enjoyed myself and I came to the show all by myself.
I thought the performance of the artist was great…. If I could only see them all. I purchased a ticket like everyone else and when people stand up a block your view, it upsets me. Once the event staff show you to your seat, please remain seated so others can see. This should be enforced. Period
I totally loved this show. The music, the people, and especially the comedian that hosted. It was awesome and I can't wait till next year.
I paid to see the artist just like everyone else. I do wish the event crew would have people sit down in their seats so others sitting behind them can actually watch the performance as well. I didn’t pay to watch someone’s behind shaking all around. I just wish people were more considerate of others
The show was amazing. The flow was great, the MC was great and the atmosphere was a delight. Looking forward to another event here. Will choose this location over another.

My husband and I really enjoyed seeing the Manhattans at The Birchmere! They put on a fantastic show!
The Manhattans had showmanship, the temptations were a total disappointment. Their name drew me to the concert, but I was let down! I expected more from them (Are there two groups parading around as the Temptations, One overseas and one in America?) The gospel group was so loud that I could not make out the words. In my opinion, this concert would have beeb disastrous without the Manhattans.
