The show was nice. But the artist didn't perform long enough.

This was my first time attending the blues fest and I thought it was great. I especially liked Johnnie Taylor's son. OMG he looks and sounds just like his dad. eery...

This is my second time attending the Blues Fest. I enjoyed every minute of it. Wish Mel Waiters would sing my song " Material Things" next time.

  • 4TH ANNUAL BIG EASY BLUES FEST

by SCOOBY55 on 3/28/11UNO Lakefront Arena - New OrleansRating: 4 out of 5

THE CONCERT WAS GOOD, BUT THEY HAD THE CROWLED HIPE UP THEN THEY PUT THE MANHATTAN ON AT THE END AND PEOPLE STARTED TO WALK OUT ON THEM , BECAUSE THE MUSICAL WAS TO SLOW MY ADVICE IS TO LET THE MANHATTAN GO ON FIRST THE NEXT TIME TO KEEP THE ATTENTION OF THE CROWLED FROM BEGANNING TO END. OTHER THAN THAT IT WAS A GREAT CONCERTS LOOKING FOR NEXT YEAR THANKS SCOOBY! LAYSA BONTON ROULAY ( LET THE GOOD TIME ROLL )

  • Blues Fest Rocked

by TTHurst on 3/28/11UNO Lakefront Arena - New OrleansRating: 4 out of 5

The Blues Fest was very good until they let the Manhattans close the show. They should have been the opening act. Other than that the show was amazing.

The show was great and I had a good time but the seats was the only disappointing factor.

  • Mel Waiters Won!

by Keitha504 on 3/28/11UNO Lakefront Arena - New OrleansRating: 5 out of 5

The overall concert was fantastic! I enjoyed every act. I really enjoyed Shirley Brown and thought she was on too short! Jeff Floyd tore it down! Sir Charles was good but Mel Waiters won the battle. It was even good seeing The Mahattans, Gerald still got it!

The show was great. The Manhattans entertained for a full 1 1/2 hours with no break. They sung all their hits and more. The singing was superb.

  • I love the show

by Loyaldiva on 11/8/10Boutwell Auduitium - BirminghamRating: 4 out of 5

The show was great! The madhattan are incredible................Marvin Sease was sick.....but hung in there and put on a great performance. But the Boutwell Audition was awful. I will never go to another event in the Boutwell.

  • Manhattans were very good!

by raysting on 11/3/10Boutwell Auditorium - BirminghamRating: 2 out of 5

I was disappointed with everyone who came on before the Manhattans. I wished the Manhattans had sung a few songs from their latest CD, Men Cry TOO.

  • Blues Party

by MsDee on 11/2/10Boutwell Auditorium - BirminghamRating: 4 out of 5

The show was good...a blues party that didn't make you want to go to sleep. Marvin Sease's performance ceased to appeal to the audience. He appeared to be weak and lacked energy. Due to noticeable health issues, I believe he should've been removed from the lineup.

Enjoyed every bit of it; long lapse in between performances though.

  • by BGale on 4/19/10Skagit Valley Casino Pacific Showroom - BowRating: 4 out of 5

It was a good show, have to remember the group has become older just like me. I think we expect people to remain the same way we remembered them. It was a fun evening.

Where is "POPS" picture? The show was very good but when I went down stairs to purchase the CD it took the group to long to come out and sign the CD so my friends and I had to leave. Next time when the MC state that you can get your CD signed then the group need to come out in a short period of time. Gerald was great especialty when he did the make over of Sam Cook song "A change is going to come". I still want my CD signed. AMG54

This was the best show ever. It brought back alot of memories, when we use to sing under the street lights and thought we were great. Thanks to the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame and especially the education department for making this a part of their Black History Month.

Aside from the fan engaging in loud cheering remarks near our table, we were still able to enjoy the show anyway.

When I saw a couple of tickets were left for this, I thought "why not? Seems like a good way to pass a Sunday evening." What I got was... spectacular. Much more than I ever expected and I'll be the first standing in line the next time they are in town. First, these guys can sing. Gerald Alston? Absolutely AMAZING. His rendition of Sam Cooke's A Change is Gonna Come brought the whole house to their feet. Blue Lovett is a great showman and kept the show rocking. Best of all is that they mixed up their great classics like Shining Star and Kiss and Say Goodbye with more contemporary songs from Boys to Men and other bands. My favorite of the night though was one of their lesser known hits, "Turn Out The Stars." Quick note about the venue -- every seat in the house gives a good view of the stage and the sound is great. I came late and still wound up with a full close-up view of the stage.
