Awesome performer!!!! Beyond what i anticipated.

by Arlene on 3/3/24The Paramount - Huntington

Not only was he a great performer, but loved the history he provided about Johnny Cash- a lot that i never knew about. Had the crowd up on their feet to do a gospel song- sooo much fun! Definitely will.put him on my list for the next time hes here.

    DRUMS WAY TOO LOUD!!

by Showz on 2/29/24Green Valley Ranch Grand Events Center - Henderson

Drums were so loud that it was hard to hear singer & other musicians. I almost had to leave because the drum vibrations made me feel very uncomfortable, like my internal organs were going to explode. When I could actually hear the singer & musicians, they were very good, but the overpowerung loudness if the drums really ruined the show for me.

    Man in black very good

Need better seating, chairs no good. Should have better seating, like Orleans Showroom or Southpoint.

    Disappointing

by Disappointed on 2/27/24Green Valley Ranch Grand Events Center - Henderson

The base was too loud to the point you couldn’t hear the singer. The singer didn’t sound like Johnny at all. And, since the show is n a ballroom (which we didn’t know), apparently, people need to be reminded to remove their cowboy hat so others can see the performers.

    A decent concert

by Paul on 2/27/24Green Valley Ranch Grand Events Center - Henderson

The concert had some good times and some bad times. The songs at the beginning were more entertaining than the later songs. Unfortunately Johnny Cash has the day beat for all the songs gets a little boring at the end also the songs at the end were new rock and roll not like his early stuff. Overall a decent cony!!!

    Superb singer & band

by Terry on 2/13/24Lillian S. Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft Lauderdale

I am a Cash fan, but not a country music fan in general. I like the traditional country music as well as other styles. This performance was very entertaining and FUN. The singer, Shawn Barker, took his show through the early Cash years and told stories until he finished with the last recording Cash made. Very nice touch to include history. But the highlight of this show was the musicianship. Excellent backup instrumentalists that provided an excellent/tight sound. The bass player had previously played with Stray Cats, Elton, Elvis. So, the band went into other rock n Roll songs such as Tiny Dancer, a Chris Cornell song, A Nine Inch nails song and a Stray Cats tune. All were superb. Then they played "The Weight"and "Will the Circle Be Unbroken"with everyone on their feet. All of the Cash hits were played, and this guy's baritone voice is what really makes the show. He will return to Ft Lauderdale next year and I will buy tickets again. A very entertaining 2 hours, no intermission.

    this was a dud

by golfergirl on 2/13/24Lillian S. Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft Lauderdale

it was difficult to understand the words to the songs. mumbled or distorted. the percussion overpowered the rest of the musicians. I heard few people singing along and no one standing except was it was requested. good history lesson from Johnny and good story teller. low energy from the crowd who could not join along

    An excellent tribute show

by Another Man in Black on 2/13/24Lillian S. Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft Lauderdale

The performer sounded like Johnny Cash and acted like him - and at a certain profile with a kind of sneer, he looked like him too. I really enjoyed myself and sang along to almost every song. Great auditorium, a great performer = a great night.

    disappointing in Fort Lauderdale

    by golfergirl on 2/11/24

was there a problem with the microphone? voice was garbled, was unable to distinguish the songs and words. after first three songs, there was no one singing along. the history lesson was good. Talented percussionist was so loud the other musicians could not be heard. the keyboard player had a small solo and showed and incredible voice. this was a dud.

    Okay

Guess I am picky about my music or expected more, although he was a good performer I did not think he sounded like Johnny Cash, I left before the show was over.

    Another Johnny Cash Tribute

by Shari C on 2/7/24Mystic Lake Casino Hotel - Prior Lake

I started out thinking this was going to be one of the better tributes to Johnny Cash I had seen but the further the show went on, the more ordinary it became. His singing was a bit better than many others, but he tried a little too hard to get the reserved Minnesota audience to participate with clapping hands, standing up, and singing along. Furthermore, the casino performances never cheer on a "One More Song"encore after the artist has left the stage, and it was awkward when he suddenly returned to the stage as everyone was filing out of the auditorium. People were caught in various locations away from their seats and left standing in the aisles and on the stairs, etc. He should have been forewarned of the concert protocol at the casino. To me the concert gets an average rating. I am glad I saw it, but I wouldn't go to see it again.

Boring and hard to listen to.

by Better than nothing on 2/6/24Mystic Lake Casino Hotel - Prior Lake

Well we were disappointed. Needed a night out but this was not the answer. First time seeing this group and will be the last. Some of the songs were borderline ok. Some I never heard and don't want to hear again. You could tell the crowd could not get into it because of the lack of applause. Couldn't understand the words and I'm sorry he's not even close to JC.
