A Great experince
by Melissa on 4/8/24The Wellmont Theater - MontclairIt was amazing vibes, and I loved the energy, but they took 2 hours to come out. They had like 10 opening acts for NO REASON. Other than that, definitely worth the price.

THE LOX IN CONCERT:
Ruff ryders mount up — New York hip hop heavyweights The Lox surprised fans in late 2013 with The Trinity EP, their first new material since 2000's We Are The Streets. With labels from Bad Boy to Maybach Music Group competing for the chance to release the trio's 2014 full-length, Jadakiss, Styles P, and Sheek Louch are doing what they do best — holding it down for fans at select tour dates around the country.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
The Lox, an acronym for Living Off Experience, formed in Yonkers in the mid-'90s, attracting the eye of fellow Yonkers native Mary J. Blige with their underground demos and mixtapes. Blige fast-tracked their demo to Puff Daddy, who signed them to his Bad Boy label and featured them on his 1997 smash "It's All About the Benjamins." It was all dollar signs from there, as The Lox's 1998 debut album Money, Power & Respect topped the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and reached No. 3 on the Billboard 200. 2000 follow-up We Are the Streets, a similar success, would be the group's last new release until the surprise drop of 2013's The Trinity EP, which has fans eagerly awaiting the arrival of the trio's third full-length in 2014.
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:
"Best show I've ever been to. Refreshing hip hop at its best. All about the music. Can't wait till the next one."
"The show started at 8 and ended at 1:45... All the acts performed well... Black rob and Keith Murray did their thang too."
"Even more acts showed up than were suppose to, like Keith Murray, Uncle Murda, Black Rob, Talib Kweli, etc... can't wait 'till the next one... real talk!"
It was amazing vibes, and I loved the energy, but they took 2 hours to come out. They had like 10 opening acts for NO REASON. Other than that, definitely worth the price.
I enjoyed the DJs that came out but that’s all we had most of the “concert.” When the Lox actually got on stage, they were up there for like 15mins or less. It feels like we spent $350 for a DJ to play music like we were in a club. I was hoping for a better experience. Definitely will not waste my money going to their “concert” again. Plus, it seemed like the stage crew was unorganized.
The show was absolutely horrible! You can’t even call it a show, I would call it an appearance. The LOX didn’t get on stage until 10:00pm and the show was over at 10:30pm. I wasted $232.00!! NEVER AGAIN!!
I'd give it a 6 out of 10. Kid Capri definitely got the crowd hype. Unfortunately the vibe for blown during the 45 minute intermission it to took to switch between acts. The cause... "technical difficulties". Ultimately shortening the performance of the headliner. No better than the Jeezy concert at the same venue that had local talents performing for 2 hours, leaving 40 mins for the headliner. Will not be returning to Chrysler Hall for awhile.
I enjoyed the experience of having floor tickets for me and my girlfriend and that was our first time out together and we both had an amazing time having the experience to jam with The Lox And Friends. And would definitely do this again.
Not 1 complaint... I sung along to all my favorite Lox tracks. The Lox friends were legit. The cops were well behaved out there. Good night was just had by all
My first concert ever… Give it a 10 out of 10. The seating, the people, the drinks… Everything and everyone was a Vibe.
Nice venue, good crowd & GREAT music! MJB was amazing.
Hip Hop Royalty at its Best!!! This is what hip-hop feels like, looks like and smells like!!!! We will be here Forever and ever!!! Drop the mic...
The Loxs did their thang and the special guests were good, especially Mary!!!

As many times that I’ve seen the LOX perform, it’s always to perfection!! They take their craft seriously no matter how big or small the audience is, you’re guaranteed a great show. The show was absolutely amazing from start to finish, epic night for the home team 914🔥
I love everything about it that the showed out for westchester only person who was missing was my bro #DMX #Earl #Yostandup
Best show in Westchester in a long time 914 good to them performance back home it’s been a long time they should do one every year
The show was great everyone did there thing the lox performed good also mary they represented 914 so good
Going to see the LOX and friends was the best show this year!! Getting into the county center was seamless. The show started at a reasonable time and prior to them coming out the music was great. When the show started I felt like I was in an intimate setting as they made us feel like we were at home in Westchester. It was great to reminisce with the old music and sing along to the newer music. I looked around and everyone was singing all of the words. It was nice to be surrounded by real fans. The friends MJB, FREEWAY, FABO. And little Cease was icing on the cake. I hope they have this concert every year, I will definitely attend.
Great concert, lighting needed work. The changing of the light colors during the show really made it hard to see the artist on stage however. All the artists were great & hopefully a concert of this magnitude will be done again. The lox are always a go. Opening DJ’s were also great.
The Lox, Mary J and friends was an excellent way to end 2023!!! The place was packed!! Everyone did their thang!! Mary J .. looked and sounded amazing!! She was 🔥!!! The Lox NEVER disappoint! So glad I didn’t miss that one!!! Westchester County Center needs to do more concerts moving forward!! Please bring back Mary J and the Lox!! 💪🏽 💪🏽
Overall the concert was amazing to have the Lox bring out amazing surprise guest that I thought would never come to the county center was mind blowing especially seeing a major artist Mary J. Blige topped it all for me. Ending my year with a bang 2023. The only thing I didn’t like was the lightning it was hard to seem, at times.
OMG!! The concert was everything. The Lox owe me NOTHING!! I rapped and sang my lungs out. I was transported back to my late teens and early 20s, danced the whole concert, and lost my voice (ha). Mary J was amazing. DJ Technician - OUTSTANDING! DJ Self- wow. And the stars of the show, THE Lox, I was mesmerized. They are so good!! I can’t wait to see them again.
