Rating: 5 out of 5 The London Souls
by Ginjah on 7/22/11Bowery Ballroom - NEW YORKI loved this show. The London Souls were amazing. But I have to say that the band "Gonzo Jones" who played before them were absolutely fantastic. I definitely think they are on the fast track to being BIG stars. I wish them both lots and lots of success. I also believe you should book "Gozo Jones" as headliners. I also thought that DJ Jonny Sollis was incredible. He knew exactly what the crowd needed to keep them in the dance mood. WOW what a great night.
Rating: 5 out of 5 London Souls and Gonzo Jones
by Hought on 7/22/11Bowery Ballroom - NEW YORKShow opened with the phenomenal band Gonzo Jones (formerly the Auctioneers) whose ass-kicking vocals and riveting guitar riffs appropriately set the stage for The Souls, a classic rock power trio, a la Cream and the Hendricks Experience, but with a powerfully original spin. How good are The Souls? - guys almost make you forget their predecessors. All in all a fabulous double bill.
