Seen a lot of live shows in my 50 years on this earth but this one seeing TLE was in the top 2. By far the greatest live show I have seen in a venue like this. First time seeing TLE after following their music for 10+ years. Was blown away by just how good they are live. I hope I can see them again one day and take my kids.
I waited nearly 20 years to see these guys and it was well worth it. It was an amazing, intimate, melt your face off show. CHRIS, Scott, and ANDY have great chemistry. They looked like a bunch of high school buddies having the time of their life. Which made the show even more fun. I hope these guys don't wait so long to come back!
I haven't seen this band in 18 years, and they were as awesome as I remembered. They opened for The Offspring back then and I had no clue who they were, they just came out of the gates ripping. They're all excellent musicians but the guitarist is particularly remarkable. If you like rockabilly punk, or appreciate talented trios, go see this band.
15 years ago, when I was in high school, I missed the Living End playing with the Vines at the Bottleneck in Lawrence. This has been a regret that has been plaguing me for years! So when I saw that they were coming to KC, I had to go. They sound exactly like their CDs and Chris goes off the script sometimes and does extended guitar solos which are amazing. They even did a fan requested song "Fly Away" which was super cool. All of them are such great performers. We got to the Riot room early and were able to get front row, however the lighting kind of failed and it was hard to take pictures of the other side of the stage. The Dollyrots and Deco-Auto were also awesome live and I suggest to see them whenever they're in town as well!
A band like The Living End in a small venue like the Wonderbar??? What a night... They played hard. The band is super tight together, and really seemed to have a great time. The opening band was terrible. Then, Lost in Society brought the energy back before TLE came on.
Great Show - would definately see them again next time in town. Supporting acts were good as well.
