As a major Legend of Zelda fan, I had always been hoping to see the Symphony of the Goddesses, and when I finally got my chance, I was ecstatic. To be in the great Chicago Theatre and to hear the classic and familiar tunes in a live orchestra was amazing, and I loved the fact that the last act of the entire show was a tribute to my favorite game of the series, Majora's Mask.
I do feel there could have been improvements, however-- I was saddened at the lack of music from The Minish Cap, the Oracle games, or even any nod of mention concerning Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks. Perhaps this was due to timing, but I do think at least the former two could have been worked into the major 2D melody.
As well, I do wish that they would have announced the encore songs in one go, instead of interrupting three times to do so. As it was very late, the fact that they kept making you think that the next one was going to be the end was a bit irritating, however, it was worth it to stay until the end due to the presence they gave to Majora's Mask as a special addition to the Symphony as a whole.
Overall, I was very pleased with the performance, though I wish it would have started earlier than 8PM. If I ever had the chance to, I would definitely go again.
