    Absolutely Amazing

by Foltzy on 10/27/12The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses was my first ever concert. I went with my fiance. It was a dazzling and magical night. The atmosphere was so great (we had really great cosplayers there). I recommend this to any Zelda fan.

by TwilightLink on 10/27/12The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

This was beautiful....ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!!! I can only hope that at the end of their tour...they sell CD's for all their movements, singles, and medleys, how I can only hope they release something like this...so I will always remember just how beautifully amazing this was. A couple tears of nostalgia..is priceless when it's beautiful.

    nostalgic masterpiece

by Reseroo on 10/27/12The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

I came to this concert with the highest expectations. Needless to say, I wasn't disappointed. The experience was an absolute nostalgic masterpiece, with call backs to almost every game in the franchise. And although this concert was preformed by volunteer musicians gathered from around the Chicagoland area and not an official symphony, it still sounded truly gorgeous. All in all, a must see for any Zelda fan and recommended for anyone who wishes to wants to spend a night listening to beautifully orchestrated masterpieces.

    Spectacular Performance of Wonderful Music

by Kylethedarkn on 10/27/12The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses was an amazing performance. Jeron Moore should be praised for making this happen. It sounded phenomenal, and the location was great. Beautiful architecture and some amazing work by the symphony made for an amazing atmosphere. That and Zelda Fans Galore. It was something I'll never forget.

    I loved this concert.

by ZeldaNut on 10/27/12The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

This concert was amazing. The music was divided up onto four movements. Each movement was dedicated to one particular Zelda game. While playing through the music, the screen behind the symphony would play through the game from beginning to end so you could see the whole story of each game.

Absolutely amazing. While any fan of symphonic music will definitely appreciate the concert, any Zelda fan will instantly feel the incredible emotion connection these games bring right away. If you decide to go, make sure to stay through until all of the Encore songs are done! I watched a bunch of people leave and miss three whole pieces!

    Multi generational fun event

by twinks1 on 10/27/12The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

I am a mom outside of the Zelda generation and had so much fun with my teenagers at this event There were plenty of aduts in the Zelda generation and many were high spirited in costume. I enjoyed the music even though I know very little about the story line of Legend of Zelda and my kids loved it all the way around. I found it insipriong to see such a wide range of ages enjoying a symphony.

    Nostalgic, but flawed

by Pianomanssb2 on 10/27/12The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

Overall, this brought back many good memories of past Zelda games. It was truly an honor to see Nintendo's first orchestra play some of their best music. However, it was extremely disappointing to me that the Chicago pops orchestra only rehearsed it once, 5 hours before the concert (I know because one of the members is my teacher). I would be fine with that if it was played perfectly. However, it was not. There were mistakes riddled throughout the show. For many of them, I was forgiving. However, the harpists were unacceptable. In the great fairy's fountain, they missed notes left and right in their solos. One of them improvised and got 2 notes out of 10 right (I know, I've listened to the 25th anniversary CD many, many times). Other than being unprepared, the visuals were a fantastic addition to the show.

    Symphony was great!

by Elle2415 on 10/27/12The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

Such a great mix of the technical expertise of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the creativity and humor of Zelda, and the passion of bringing them together. The symphony was led with great passion and style of a conductor who has "known since she was a little girl" that she wanted to conduct music... and it showed. Awesome all around.
