    Terrific Music. Terrible venue.

by AvisQuinn on 11/6/17The Modell Lyric - Baltimore

The orchestra was great. The chorus was pretty bad, but that's likely because they don't tour with the orchestra. The worst aspect was the venue. The seats were not built for taller or heavier people. The seating made the concert far less enjoyable.

    Loved it

    by KBeaver on 11/6/17Columbus, OH

It pulls visuals and soundtracks from some of the earliest Zelda games all the way up to Breath of the Wild. As someone who has only had limited exposure to the Zelda games, I loved the show and my boyfriend, who absolutely loves the games, enjoyed it immensely. I'd highly recommend this concert to gamers.

LoZ lovers best dream come true

by Cbarlow1213 on 11/6/17The Modell Lyric - Baltimore

The orchestra and the cinematics work perfectly together. There is probably only one other description fitting of this event, but it escapes human vocabulary at this time. "Shmooblydon?"That's close, but not it"

    Symphony of the Goddesses Indeed

by DoABarrelRoll94 on 12/25/16New Jersey Performing Arts Center - Newark

A wonderful experience from beginning to end. The compositions weren't as complex as Beethoven or Mozart, but hearing music from my one of my favorite gaming franchises was still an amazing experience. You can really feel the rumble of the timpani, the gentle timbre of the harps, and the warm tone of the brass and woodwinds. The strings were on point as well. They made the orchestra sound full. I was luck to have a very good seat close to the stage, although the sound travels well around the theater.

    It was amazing

by Nikkiewikkie8 on 11/28/16William Saroyan Theatre Fresno Convention & Entertainment Center - Fresno

It was amazing. The music was on point. Just being there listening to him made me think about my childhood and how I fell in love with these games. As soon as I got home I wanted to play all my games. I would go again if they stop by near my home town again.

    Excellent Orchestra at Least

by PixelHeartWitch on 11/23/16William Saroyan Theatre Fresno Convention & Entertainment Center - Fresno

The orchestra was perfect. Their playing was beautiful and the conductor was really great. I loved his enthusiasm and clear love for the music. It was a good night, and if you like the music from the Legend of Zelda series it's worth the money to go see. However, there were some problems with production. Particularly highlighted by the producer straight up saying he didn't want to come to fresno. Adding that "he did it for the fans" doesn't really help. Of course you did it for the fans, we paid you to. I'm not saying that Fresno isn't a shit city, I'm saying that you probably shouldn't say that during our concert. The merchandise table was small, and they ran out of a major piece (the windwaker baton) before I got there, and I got there an hour early. They didn't even have enough of the product for people to buy, and I have no doubt they ran out of other things before the night ended too. The symphony clearly hasn't been updated since it's original run either. The songs themselves are perfect, the issue is with the video display that's running during the concert. It's weird to see release dates for Windwaker and Majora HD. It would've been nice to see some references to the upcoming Breath of the Wild but there was none. Still, just because the producers didn't care doesn't mean the orchestra didn't. There was so much love for the music, the performers were amazing. Each set was flawless and again the conductor had so much enthusiasm it was impossible not to smile when he faced the audience. I would love to go to more of his symphonies in particular. When someone's that happy about their music you know it's going to be great.

    Orchestra did not connect

by Stormyblueseas on 11/23/16William Saroyan Theatre Fresno Convention & Entertainment Center - Fresno

So disappointed. Being familiar with such orchestras as eminescense, this tour was lacking a connectedness to the music. Emotion was lacking and the conductor, while he definitely connected with the audience, failed to draw more from his musicians. There were many occasions when the musicians were not together (I.e. Percussion was ahead of everyone). The balance of sound was not conducive to highlighting the various melodic lines of the orchestration (generally hearing percussion above EVERYTHING, even when it was not their moment to be highlighted). There were a few solid moments where the musicians began to give way to expression and really drew the audience in, but unfortunately I was more distracted by the lack of unity in creating a piece of work. On another note, the choir was horrible and it felt as if they had just received the music and was sight reading. Note to whoever was operating the camera: when yo have musicians or singers struggling in a concert, it's probably not a good idea to zoom in on that section... it is written all over their faces they had no clue what they were doing. While the music has a choir part... it would have been better to have that part lacking. This was supposed to be a professional concert that people paid good ticket prices for, and it felt like a semi-professional (or less).

    Heck yes!

by BlakneyG on 11/22/16North Charleston Performing Arts Center - North Charleston

Always love to hear the music from the Legend of Zelda series! For once, the symphony was in Charleston and my friends and I could enjoy it. A+, really! I hope they can do the symphony again in the future. The only issue I had was with the wait line for the merchandise. I skipped over it because I was afraid it would take too long.

Symphony of the Goddesses is incredible!

by zeldafans3 on 11/22/16North Charleston Performing Arts Center - North Charleston

We drove a long way to get to this concert and it was totally worth it! The program was amazing, especially so for Zelda fans, but the orchestra was fantastic even if you don't recognize the music. But if you love Zelda, this is a must-see! Well worth the price of the ticket and you get to celebrate it with fellow Zelda fans!

    Legend of Zelda Symphony

by HoustonGirl22 on 11/21/16Revention Music Center - Houston

The venue was awful. For $86 a seat, I expected to be sitting in nice chairs, not standard folding chairs. The floor was not even slanted toward the stage so tall people in front of us made the orchestra hard to see. The venue apparently over sold tickets and forced many rows to move over so they could add more chairs. And the chairs were so close together that I did not even have 5-inches between my knees and the chair in front of me. For $86 dollars a chair, that is truly unacceptable. And the lobby was dirty and all there seemed to be was a large bar. I do not expect to see a concrete floor with a bar at a music venue where I pay $86 a chair. This is not a professional place and I will never be returning to this venue. The music was astounding but the visuals were awful. Maybe I just don't fully understand the new stories of Zelda, but it seemed to me like the most sexual innuendo scenes of the newest versions were all that we needed to see. My son was very offended by seeing the "girls" of the video game dressed so sexually and the view points of the "camera" focused heavily on the barely dressed "girls" of the video game. Disgusting! By the end of the show, we were just done. We walked out before it was even over. Again, we will not be returning to this venue, ever.

Really brought the Legend of Zelda game series to life. Absolutely loved every second of it. Was definitely upset when the show finally came to an end.

    Legend of Zelda was AWESOME!!!

by BlueRubyBeat on 11/20/16North Charleston Performing Arts Center - North Charleston

This was my first time going to a symphony. I love playing the Legend of Zelda games. Seeing some gameplay and videos while listening to the orchestra was the best! It felt like I was in the game myself. I always loved the music from the games because it did enhance my playing experience. My friend went with me and she had never played the games but she loved the music and the way it complimented and explained what was happening in the gameplay. I would definitely recommend this symphony to any fan or anyone who likes music.

A Trip Down Legend of Zelda's Iconic Musical Lane

by TheNintendoGuy on 11/20/16North Charleston Performing Arts Center - North Charleston

A complete dose of nostalgia and a great trip down memory lane. The orchestra was extremely talented and watching them play in sync with the exact scene from the video game on screen was something I wasn't expecting at all. Would easily pay to go again.

Great performance; game video could've been better

by kiwilei on 11/20/16North Charleston Performing Arts Center - North Charleston

Performance 5 stars for sure....one star off only because the video of the various game situations could have been a little better. However, it doesn't really detract from the overall performance and show. Definitely would see it again, and definitely recommend it. If you're a Zelda fan, it will move you with some fond thoughts; you should see it
