Great show. Only downer was the ushers camping out in the aisles for minutes on end, blocking views to attempt to stop people from video taping with their smart phones.
I went with my two and a half year old granddaughter and we both enjoyed it. Laurie is very creative and kept the audience engaged from beginning to end. She held my granddaughter's attention for the whole concert, more than an hour!
My family has always loved Laurie Berkner and always wanted to see her show. She didn't disappoint - the show was awsome!!
This show was an amazing, unforgetable experience for myself and my daughter. We definitely want to go back should she return!!
I was in awe of how great Laurie Berkner was. We took my 3 year old daughter she had the most wonderful time. I had as good of a time as she did. I've been to many concerts and this was one of my favorites. Laurie is likeable and creative and very very good with children. Many live performers do not sound the same as they do on recordings, but this is not the case. Laurie Berkner actually sound better live than on the CDs and DVDs. She is the best and we can't wait to see her again.
The Wiltsie Center is beautiful! Not a bad seat in the house. The staff were wonderful and very accommodating to our daughter with cerebral palsy. They checked in with us throughout the show to ask us if we needed anything. Laurie and her band put on a great show. As a musician, i can attest to their talent. Don't let the kids' music fool you. These people are talented. Laurie and the band were very friendly. We met them after the show. They demonstrated genuine kindness. Thank you!
My wife and I and 2 children ages 4 and 6 attended this concert. This is the second time we have seen them in concert and we had a great time once again. This time the concert was holiday themed and the set was decorated appropriately with candy canes, snow, lights and presents. The set list was a nice mix of holiday songs and LBB hits. The kids sang and danced in the aisles and had a ball. We paid for preferred tickets which allowed us a meet and greet with the band. We all had to use the restrooms after the concert causing us to be last in line. The band members greeted people took pictures and signed autographs while everyone waited to see Laurie. An hour and a half later (about the length of the concert) we got to meet Laurie. Knowing how she must have felt after performing a concert, meeting all those kids and parents, signing and smiling for pictures and all while wearing heels....I must say she was wonderful. She was pleasant and charming and was genuinely interested in meeting us and hearing our thoughts and feelings regarding the show and her music.
The tickets stated doors open at 1230 but the main doors opened at 1230, not the inside doors. We had to walk around for an hour until we were able to go into the auditorium and actually sit. Limited room in a hallway. The meet and greet was not advertised as before or after the concert. We thought it was before so we arrived early. The concert was Amazing and our six year olds will never forget it!
The Laurie Berkner Band was, once again, the absolute best! They put on a fantastic show that is fun for parents and children alike. My daughter was just entranced and soaked up every single minute :) We also attended the meet and greet, which I would highly recommend; Laurie took her time with each child and was so attentive. She really made each child feel so special. She's just an amazing person, and you can tell that she absolutely loves what she does. Can't wait until she's in our area again!! :)
What a fabulous memory! The whole family enjoyed the concert. It was a great way to start off the holiday season.
