The show was great and KWS did not disappoint! The venue was intimate and cozy , which encouraged a lot of appreciation for the band. The only downside would be the chairs…they were like plastic folding chairs and a bigger person would not be comfortable.
Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Noah and the band were all on top of their game! Another energy-filled great show. He is one of our faves and we try to catch him as often as we can. The acoustics and layout of the venue (Astro Theater in La LaVista-Omaha) are very good --- unless you were sitting where I was: section 204 (balcony) front row first seat, A1 (mine.) A gate and rail from the neighboring section were pretty much blocking my view of much of the stage...I paid the same price for both A1 (blocked view) and A2 - A2 (my partner's) was fine. As it was a gift to him, I did not opt to switch seats as he suggested, but really?! Why even have the first seat (204/A1) even an option to buy??? Disappointed.

KWS is the greatest living blues guitarist and he definitely did not disappoint. Amazing act to see live!

GREAT SHOW AT AN AWESOME VENUE WITH NICE DINNER AT THE COPPER ROCK RESTAURANT
The band and music were great. The arena was miserable. small kiddie seats packed too tight. The show was seriously ruined by the audio system. Tinny and garbled at the mid notes and high range you couldn't even discern the notes being play and it was a cacophony of noise. I almost left after the third song. Never going there for anything again

Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Ally Venable were awesome to see in person. I would love for both of these talented artists to return to Maine.
The State Theater and both performances were excellent. The show started on time and the break between stage sets was minimal. Well done!
My elderly father ended up not being able to go so he gave me his tickets. Wayne Shepard is not my preferred taster...But his 5 star performance, talen, stage presence and dedication changed ALLLLLL that. The show was absolutely phenomenal.
First off, if you've never seen a band at the State Theater, that venue needs to be on your Bucket List! At the end of this show, my FB post declared it was only surpassed by my trip to Red Rocks last year! Hard to believe it was over thirty years ago that I first heard of KWS and had to pass on a chance to see him in Vegas due to scheduling conflicts. I would suggest that was more than made up for after this night of solid shredding!! Damn good show!!
Kenny Wayne Band played a solid show and pulled songs from across the catalogue. Samantha Fish and Jesse Dayton were a good choice as an opening act, kicking off the evening on a strong note.
Great show Kenny is a fantastic guitarist and his band is very tight. I will definitely see him again next time he's in the area.
The show was was impressive! All of the players where beyond incredible! The team was epic. Excellent performance. I was so lucky to see them!
Great blues show from KWS band. Terrific group of musicians and vocalist to support what Kenny does. A master blues guitarist. Loved Ally Venable and her band as opening act. Ally has a long and successful blues career ahead.
I have seen the Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band 6 times now . But this was his best performance yet . His vocals have improved where he can hold his own without just harmonizing with Noah . The new album has great songs and it seems even the old ones have gotten better if that’s even possible. The addition of horns was fantastic. Kenny’s guitaring skills are legendary. That’s the main reason I go so often . But his appreciation of we , the audience is obvious. But he lets us KNOW that in both facial expressions AND between songs he will always tell us this . It’s what sets him apart as well from so many artists because it’s genuine appreciation. It is felt . This won’t be the last time I go to see them . And the addition of the Ally Venable Band as the opening act ! It’s good to see female guitarists. But one who is so skilled on guitar and a smoking voice as well was a wonderful surprise. WHAT A SHOW !!!
