Joe Perry rocked while an animated Gary Cherone was awful

by AquariusBaby on 7/24/22Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton Beach

From the first vocals screeched out of tune, accompanied by his ego begged the question, why isn’t Charlie Farren guest appearing while on the same bill as JPP opener. It was like karaoke night gone bad with a sweaty Cher tone covering both Steven Tyler and Charlie Farren with no effort to make it his own or breath life into these hits. Joe Perry played guitar masterfully but the sound and the guitar swap hand offs where awkward. The crowd was easy and there were times other audience members cringed along with the bad performance of the vocalist.

    Amazing Show!!!

    by K. N. on 5/27/22

I saw Joe Perry for my 14th birthday in April 2018 (yes I am young, no shame in that!!) and it was the best show I’ve ever been to. I’ve seen tons of artists over the years; Earth Wind and Fire, The Doobies, Steely Dan, Eagles, Aerosmith, Gin Blossoms, ETC and this show knocked all of them out of the park undoubtedly. He played for 3 hours, he played all the deep cuts, including tons of 70s Aerosmith deep cuts, about 5 songs from Sweetzerland Manifesto, and some of the older project stuff too. Very eclectic setlist and TONS of special guests!!! Highly recommend going to a show or two next time he announces something!!

    What a great show!

by ClassicRockFan101 on 4/23/18Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton Beach

What a great show! The performance, the quality, the talent, the song selection, the entertainment value were all great. But not only that, the musicianship and artistry were very evident, and shared with us fans.

Fantastic venue is see a Rock Legend like Joe Perry. I was towards the back and still only about 30 feet from the stage. The sound and lights were great. Joe played a nice mix of Aerosmith, Joe Perry Project, cover tunes and cuts off his new album. I love the Casino and look forward to seeing Magpie Salute in September.

    Joe Perry was rocking out!

by MaineMan1 on 4/22/18Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton Beach

Entire show was fabulous- great blend of old and new stuff. It was like being in the Boston Garden in the 70s between the “Boston” covers and best Aerosmith songs you can want to hear even without Mr Tyler out there. Joe Perry is energetic and seemed to be having a good time himself. Don’t miss this show if you are an Aerosmith fan or want to take a time machine ride back and enjoy some Joe Perry with a side of Boston!

    Joe Perry and Friends

by lowriders on 4/22/18Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton Beach

We were all surprised to have Boston play as the back up group None of us were aware they were going to be there and LOVED it Joe Perry was wonderful but we were talking during the intermission and we all agreed that the Sound man should have done better with the mixing We couldn't here the lead singer's voice over the instruments Since one of us is a theater person, it wasn't said from your average Joe Shmo I've been attending concerts at The Casino since 1982 and the facility never let's me down

Joe Perry and Friends .... don’t miss it !!!

by JPBBoston on 4/22/18Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton Beach

Hampton Beach casino ballroom was the perfect venue for this unforgettable show. A lot of old classics from the early Aerosmith albums. Cherone was very good on vocals and did the songs justice. Whitfield and Perry made your u feel like you were at an Aerosmith show. Geaudreu and Charlie Farren backed them up. The were worth seeing by themselves. Lots of energy and very entertaining... this is one I would not miss !!!!!!

    Joe Perry Project

by pennynickels on 5/14/10Beau Rivage - Biloxi

Ditto Debbye! My husband and I and/or girlfriends and I have seen Aerosmith several times and at differnet venues around the country. I just saw them in Vegas last July two weeks before Steven fell off of the stage at Sturgis. You would not have know that the guys were not getting along so great. They were AWESOME! I am also glad to see that big name bands are coming to the Gulf Coast again. I live in Louisiana and would drive straight through New Orleans any day to come to a concert on the MS or AL coast. The crowd at the Joe Perry concert was weird for me. I sang every song that they played. The coulpe next to me seemed as they belonged there too (maybe that was you Debbye) but most of the others probably earned tickets through casino comps and had no clue who they were listening too. Some people walked out and that is a shame. There was a row full of blue haired old ladies that stayed a good while but they too eventually left. It was kind of weird for me to hear and see this other lead singer sing these Aerosmith songs that are sacred for me. It was sort of like watching American Idol. I like the Joe Perry Project music and kinda wish they would just stick to thier stuff and leave the Aerosmith alone and where it belongs. This was the first time I have been to the venue at the Beau Rivage and really like the place. I will be buying tickets today to see the Black Crowes. That should be awesome! I have been to several events at the Hard Rock and they have a great place, just most of it is General Admission which sucks sometimes depending on who it is in concert.

JOE PERRY STILL ROCKIN' MY SOCKS OFF!

by DEBBYE on 3/30/10Beau Rivage Theatre - Biloxi

MY HUSBAND AND I PLANNED FAR IN ADVANCE TO SEE THE JOE PERRY PROJECT . WE ARE AVID AEROSMITH FANS AND HAVE TRAVELED AS FAR AS BOSTON TO SEE AEROSMITH, SO WHEN THE OPPORTUNITY CAME TO SEE JOE LOCALLY, IT WAS A NO BRAINER! WE LOVED, (AND THAT'S PUTTING IT MILDLY), THE INTIMATE SETTING OF THE THEATER TO WATCH, ENJOY, AND ROCK OUT WITH WHAT JOE AND HIS BAND DOES BEST AND THAT'S SHARING THEIR LOVE OF ROCK N ROLL WITH ALL OF US. THE AUTHENTIC BLUES AXMAN WAS VERY ACCOMMODATING TO HIS AUDIENCE AND WAS SIMPLY AMAZING TO WATCH AND LISTEN TO...I HAVE TO ADMIT THAT WE SANG EVERY SONG WITH HIM AND SO DID OTHERS AROUND US. JOE MADE THE POINT OF TELLING US THAT WHAT WE SAW WAS WHAT WE GOT...ALL AUTHENTIC MUSIC ONLY PLAYED BY HIS BAND. (NO MIXERS). SINCE HURRICANE KATRINA, WE'VE LOST A LOT OF CONCERTS ON THE GULF COAST, AND I WANT TO APPLAUD JOE FOR TAKING A CHANCE ON US. MY ONLY TWO REGRETS IS THAT THE CONCERT WAS NOT SOLD OUT BECAUSE A MUSICAL GENIUS OF HIS CALIBER DESERVES TO BE PROMOTED SO MUCH MORE HERE SO WE DO NOT LOSE THIS ROCK N ROLL LEGEND TO OTHER VENUES, AND THAT HE'S NOT HERE MORE. THANKS FOR COMING JOE...PLEASE COME BACK SOON! WE LOVED YA'LL! WE WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND YOU TO FRIENDS AND HAVE!

    The Admiral was awesome!!!!

by Anonymous on 3/28/10Beau Rivage Theatre - Biloxi

Great show, Joe perry was amazing. The band and singer were right on, very tight. Good mix to Aerosmith and JPP stuff. The encore of Stop Messin' Around and Train Kept Rollin' was really good. Crowd was kinda lame, but I guess that is what you get at a casino...

    JP Talks & Rocks!

by Bamagriz on 3/27/10Beau Rivage Theatre - Biloxi

The Joe Perry show at the Beau Rivage Theater in Biloxi, Mississippi last night was as I expected: very good & very loud! The funniest thing was seeing so many people older than my parents being seated; they did not stick around for long which freed up floor seating for fans who really wanted to experience some rock and roll. I suspect these older folks had expected something more like Cuck Berry and had been comped the tickets. Anyway, we had a good time. Joe as always looked HOTT and rocked us to our bone marrow. I don't think the sound was ever set just right for the incredibly small venue, but considering the conditions the show went on, and it was worth the distraction of the distortion. Considering how small the theater is it would have been REALLY nice had Joe et al come out to sign autographs, but only the new lead singer came out on stage. The surly stage crew and usher staff did not help any either; it is not as if there was another show coming onto the stage in 10 minutes requiring everyone had to hustle out of the place. All in all the show was worth the drive. Nice to see you again, Joe. Happy trails...

    Joe Perry Rocked the House

by Gary1957 on 12/7/09State Theatre - St Petersburg

This is the first small venue concert I've been to. The warm up band (Mojo Gurus) was entertaining and set the stage for Joe Perry to blow it apart. One of the better concerts I've been to because of the intimacy of State Theatre. My wife, generally a country music type person, has now been fully converted to a "head banger". I really didn't think she would enjoy it, though she does appreciate some rock music. Hmmmm, maybe she just thought Joe Perry was hot!! Seriously though, great show, great venue and "We'll be back!!!'
