Hard to say it all in a short space. First of all, Joe Perry is a complete legend and it was such an honor to see him in an intimate space. We randomly met part of his team and all I can say was what amazing people. The band sounded awesome, Joe was AWESOME and the crew made the night a memory my daughter and I will never forget.
The other night, me and my son watched the Joe Perry project at Foxwoods Casino. This sure was probably the funnest experience at a concert I've been at. A couple things about the Perry project for pros. 1, this is good for people that like long concerts. 2, very cheap at 55$ for tickets 10th row and behind. And 3, great for people that don't LOVE Aerosmith but kind of like a couple of Aerosmiths old and not know songs. Cons.. 1, bad for people that don't like long concerts and 2, bad for people that LOVE Aerosmith and all they want is songs like "Back In The Saddle" & "Dream On" because they don't play both of those. Some great moments I had at this concert was meeting Jack Douglas (producer of Aerosmith, John Lennon, Ringo Starr, Chepa Trick & others) & sitting next to the mom of the second opening band. On top of the opening bands, there were 2 opening bands that they never announced were going to be on the tour. Btw these artists are Mickey James and Cheap Tricks son who has a band that doesn't know the name to call it. Overall the theater is big and great and the band would be a 4/5
Had a wicked good time at the show, good opening acts and Joe Perry Project was outstanding even with Gary Cherone as lead singer. Joe was his usual laid back guy banging out his older Aerosmith tunes and his early Project stuff. Foxwoods staff were friendly and helpful as always.Keep on rocking Mr Perry đ
He was so humble and kind!! So happy to hand met him since we grew up in the same hometown!! Greatest guitarist ever!! So talented!!!
Absolutely wonderful! Great set list. JP is legendary. Loved that he played some rare Aerosmith songs. Gary Cherone on vocals was terrific!
The band was amazing. Great choice of songs!! Sounded great. Venue is very nice, not a bad seat small and intimate.
Had seats in the second row, right in front of Joe. Joe was rippin' it up. Gary was excellent on vocals. If Joe and Steven need some road crew help on the Vegas trip, I would surely volunteer. HA-HA only in my dreams. Thanks
Entertaining R&R show, both bands were great! Sound and lighting was exceptional. Venue staff were friendly, helpful, and very professinal! We look forward to seeing another event at Sound Waves!
Joe Perry ROX!!! What a blast as always!!! Great Aerosmith songs & Joe Perry Projes r songs new & old!! Gary Cherone was awesome âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸
I have seen Joe Perry with Aerosmith over 30 times. I thought the JPP would be good but my expectations weren't really high and I'd never seen the band before. We'll forget that. Joe and the band blew my mind. They were awesome and I can't wait to see them again.
We seen the Joe Perry project back in the 80s loved it, happen to be at the Jersey shore vacation with family. It was a treat to see Joe Perry a double treat having Gary Cherone singing and they play lots of order Aerosmith songs Amazing Angie
I went to every show on this tour and every single show was so incredible. In terms of sound and Joeâs playing, of the 3 AC was the best. Gary has such an incredible stage presence and I ended up meeting him after the AC show and telling him that. He reminds me so much of Cowboy Mach Bell. Anyways, if Joe ever comes remotely near you with the project and youâre a diehard fan who listens to every single Aerosmith related band like I do, please do yourself a favor and GO SEE JOE!! His shows are 1837482x better than Aerosmith.
Everyone in the band was such a talent, the vocalist Cherone put his heart and soul into the show as did the rest of the group. So blessed to see this group I was told they only did 3 shows. Thank you Joe Perry and the band.
I had high hopes for joes first project shows since the 80s especially with Gary Cherone on vocals. Great opening double shot of "Let the music do the talking " and " Toys in the Attic" . Cherone was on fire jumping around in pitch trying to sing in place of one of rocks most iconic unique frontm3n while staying out of joes way on a?smaller stage than both used to. Sound was off or joe was off because i couldn't hear any of his spoken word banter between songs and he kept turning his amp up and drowning out the rest of the group. Keyboard player from Aerosmith touring band had great backup vocals now i know why tyler sounds so good live still. Anyways Joe managed to screw up 1 of the few project tunes performed "East Coast West Coast" also looking pretty scrawny but still cool as hell for his age. He pulled 2 chestnuts out,"Chip away at the Stone " and " my fist your face" from asmith also ""Rockin train " from the project then played some new stuff and instrumentals . 1 new tune that received a good reception was inexplicably replayed. All in all worth it for the price and novelty but i could see where Brad Whitford is missed . Not sure if the soundman was off but joes spoken words and solos both not stellar to the ear ( his vocals were great ).
Big fan. Seen him a bunch. This show was disappointing.
Joe Perry, occasionally going to the amp heads and turning the knobs, evidence of the control he has over his sound. This performance is so different than an Aerosmith show, both outstanding, but very different. JPP sound brings you back to the days of the boys playing in the Warehouse in Waltham; guitars and amps without the immense processing to make everything sound "perfect"... Let the Music Do the Talkin'. Looking forward to s very different experience at Fenway in September.
Show was great, very talented musicians, stage equipment impeded view of performers at times. Staff @ Casino were very friendly and helpful.
It was super super fun. A bit too loud and poor sound, sound guys couldn't seem to get a handle on the feedback. I had a blast none the less. Great song selection by Joe, great band, Gary Cherone on vocals. A fun night!
This show rocked!! The band was tight, the song selection spot on, and the energy high. The venue was perfect for this show.
