    This band should be huge!

by OMann1964 on 6/29/16The Pageant - St Louis

Another amazing performance from this talented band! Crisp, clean, harmonious with great arrangements and lyrics! Maybe the best we have seen them.

    The Jayhawks were great!

by jorjemonsalv on 6/27/16Buckhead Theatre - Atlanta

The Jayhawks were great. They did several new songs from their latest album "Paging Mr Proust" as well as a lot of classics. They played well over 20 songs such as Tampa to Tulsa, I'd Run Away, Save It for a Rainy Day, Blue, I'm Gonna Make You Love Me, Tailspin, etc... If you get a chance to see them, you should! The opening act was Folk Uke. They were hilarious.

by SlightDisfigureASpeech on 6/27/16Buckhead Theatre - Atlanta

The Jayhawks are better than ever-the new CD is a classic and they play most of it with ALL of the old favorites. Don't miss this tour if you are lucky enough to get a show near you!

Great Band that sounds great live!

    by 2409bc on 6/27/16Buckhead Theatre - Atlanta

If you are an old or new fan, you won't be disappointed. The band sounds great live. They are clearly professionals and know how to play their instruments. I am biased, because this is one of my favorite bands. However, if you just love good music with guitars, melody and harmonies, you will love this band in concert. My only complaint was that they didn't play "Smile" as it is my wife's favorite song by them and has special memories. I guess it is hard to cover a 25 year career in a 2 hour concert. All songs that were played were awesome. Gary Louris sounds the same live as on recordings. Also, he is an amazing guitar player. The set goes fast as there is not a lot of talking. They just go from one song to the next. It was a great concert and a great time!

Jayhawks are just a great band

by 92456 on 6/18/16Bowery Ballroom - New York

There are always great songs that they don't get around to playing. That's because the have too many great songs. They sounded perfect as always. Played a lot of material off the new album which makes you appreciate it more.

I've been meaning to see the Jayhawks for a long time and knew they would be good, but this show exceeded all of my expectations. Great song selection and the performance was amazing.

    Jayhawks Rocked BK

by Leadguitar on 6/17/16Music Hall of Williamsburg - Brooklyn

This band is relentless!!! From the opening hook of Waiting For The Sun straight through for 2 hours, the Jayhawks just rocked the Music Hall. I don't know what else to tell you. I liked the show so much, I had to go and see them again the next night. They played most of their new album (which is great) but also didn't skimp on the old favorites. The whole audience singing along on a few songs (Blue, Tailspin, I'm Gonna Make You Love Me) just told you that you were there with a crowd that was totally into it. If you're a Jayhawks fan at all, this is the tour to see!!!

    Jayhawks

    by ccc2016 on 6/17/16Royale Boston - Boston

Great concert. Funky venue. Like them better at the Somerville theater but still a great show. Opening act Folk Uke was odd...however they have great voices and should join the Jayhawks as band members.

Phenomenal Show - JayHawks with Trapper Shoeppe

    by Mallorie1 on 11/5/14Variety Playhouse - Atlanta

It has been a long time since a concert was great from the beginning. The opening band Trapper Shoepp and the Shades with special guest Gina Romatini, based out of Wisconsin this new Americana band wowed us all as time flew by with the fun tunes like "Run Engine Run" to somber sounds of " So Long". Definitely a must see up and coming band. The stage was cleared and poised for the Jayhawks to take the stage. Original members Gary Louris, Marc Perlman, Karen Grotberg and Tim O'Reagan took the stage along with Kraig Johnson who joined the line up in 1997. One word; Magic! They were so laid back and relaxed having fun playing song after song from their material 1997-2004. "Think about it". "Trouble", " Settled Down Like Rain", "Smile" and on and on of some of their best material shared and written in our lifetime. Deep, poignant ,masterpieces in their own right. Karen surprised us with "I'm down to my last cigarette". A true hidden voice talent. The show was worth every moment. Variety Playhouse it a great venue to see any band in a small intimate setting. Great acoustics, good staff, great crowd. Would recommend!

Jayhawks a good time as usual.

by Gove on 11/2/14Town Hall - New York

The Jayhawks show at Town Hall in NYC on Oct. 28, 2014 was great. They played tunes from their entire library...plus a coupla Golden Smog tunes, and an old country number. Sound was good, tho a bit unbalanced at the beginning. The addition of the fiddle/mandolin player was a nice touch. Never seen that at a Jayhawks show (I've been to half a dozen shows). The Town Hall is a nice venue. 1500 capacity, not a bad seat in the house. The only thing that I didn't like about the show...more likely the venue...was that we could not stand to dance to the songs. It was an older crowd, and the Town Hall didn't really lend itself to standing. An old theater, it is a sitting venue. Unfortunate. We had to get up and go to the back at the end of the show in order to dance a little to the Jayhawks. Good time tho.

Great performance and very intimate setting. The only negative was the sound system. Couldn't always hear the vocals. The instruments outplayed the vocals at times. Having said that, I would definitely see them again. This is the way to see and hear music. No light show just great music!

    Jayhawks were awesome!

by Speedrack on 10/31/14Town Hall - New York

What an incredible show at Town Hall Tuesday night! The set list was awesome and the Neil cover of Sedan Delivery was an amazing encore! Town Hall is a great place to see a show and I highly recommend the seats in the loge! You can't go wrong up there!

    It's the Jayhawks minus one.

by bob222 on 10/31/14Town Hall - New York

I've seen the Jayhawks in many different editions over the years, and I was very happy to see the entire group reformed on their last tour. Mark Olson's re-departure in August '14 is a bit of a disappointment, but the group still sounds very much the same, nice tight harmonies between Louris and Tim O'Reagan and Kraig Johnson on second guitar rounds out the sound. Still worth the price of a ticket. The opening act, Trapper Schoepp is also worth seeing.

    Great show

by dduff on 10/31/14Town Hall - New York

The band was excellent although there was a problem with the sound mix of the vocals. The vocals were very hard to hear. It was obviously the sound mix because the opening act Trapper Schoepp had excellent sound on the vocals. Otherwise it was a good show by the Jayhawks who covered the music on the cds they were reissuing. They were really tight and it was a pleasure to hear Gary's excellent guitar work.

    The Jayhawks rocked!

by LFTS on 10/31/14Town Hall - New York

These guys were truly happy to be performing in NYC! Their vibe was infectious. Also helps that I was in the front row. Great gig! Opening act fit in perfectly, too.

Great show. The Jayhawks sounded perfect. The set list was a great mix of material. They included a couple of Golden Smog classics.
