Yes, The Irish Rovers have put out a lot of really good albums through the years but nothing prepared me for how awesome they are in person. You get the really great songs + they interact almost constantly with the audience + these songs work so much better when some studio producer hasn't cleaned them up. If this tour goes anywhere near you GO.
Amazing energy, amazing talent. This band has been around for 50 years and these guys rock! If you like Irish music, beer drinking music or just listening to some outstanding musicians you will love this show. Ticket prices are quite reasonable and you can take your whole family.
The Irish Rovers were nothing short of AMAZING/BRILLIANT/AWESOME and so on and so on...It was a spectacular evening had by all. It was a wonderful night to have them bring out our Irish heritage with fun/laughter and songs....I wish they could have played all night to the wee hours of the morning. They will be truly missed when they finally stop touring. I am glad I have their CD's as a great reminder of my wonderful IRISH NIGHT with them!!

The Irish Rovers are an outstanding group, the Florida Theatre is a terrific venue, and the overall event was superb.
Not a slow moment...great interaction with the audience. Wonderful and entertaining story telling. Music was the best Irish heard to date. My Irish wife was in her element.
This may be their farewell tour, but they definitely have not slowed down! What a high energy show. It's impossible not to have a good time!

Have loved the Irish Rovers since I was a little kid in the 1960's. They didn't disappoint. So much fun, great jokes, great music, a mix of new and the oldies I love so well. Thoroughly enjoyed them!
The concert was good. The flute, keyboard, and violin player were excellent and really brought the music to life. I was a bit disappointed in the scripted banter on stage. It took away from the authenticity of the performance. Also I was 30 minutes late arriving for the performance because the wrong address was listed on the web site. Since my tickets were at will call I had to rely on the web site for direction. although a very helpful usher helped me get my ticket from the closed ticket booth. I got to my seat just before the intermission and I enjoyed the second half.
I really enjoyed the show! The Irish Rovers were great showmen! (and storytellers) We really enjoyed ourselves!
The Irish Rovers have lost none of their appeal. They literally take you on a journey to Ireland with none of the travel woes, as well as revisit cherished memories and sprinkle in a good bit of humor. You leave transported to another realm which, in my case, has lasted for several days! Truly a delightlful excursion!
The show was wonderful. Two plus hours of great music, some old standbys and several new songs just for the tour. Can't wait to purchase their new CD Irish Rovers "50 Years".
The audio in the Balboa Theater Concert was way over modulated and blasted the sound of the singers--mainly the lead man. Too Bad because it was an enjoyable evening otherwise.
I can't remember the last time I had this much fun at a concert. Even after 50 years the Rovers still have the energy and, more important, the voices to entertain an audience with over 2 hours of music and laughter. If the next day's show wasn't sold out, I would have driven the 100 miles to see them again. I have been a fan of the Rovers since I was a (very young) child in the 60's. I can't believe I waited this long to attend a show. If you've never seen them live, now is the time. Do not hesitate. Buy a ticket regardless of price or how bad you may think the seat will be. Well worth every penny. Thank you Rovers for 50 years!
One heck of a show!! 2 + hours performance by some great musicians. I was very appreciative of the no cost meet and greet afterwards. All members were polite, patient, and enjoyed talking with fans.
I used to see the Irish Rovers annually when I was younger when they would come to San Diego on or around St. Patrick's Day. Being of Irish decent, everything Irish was big in our family. I've always loved them and have many of their CD's. When I saw they were coming to San Diego again for their farewell tour, I bought tickets for my two sisters and I. We had the most wonderful time singing along to our favorites, and enjoying some of their new stuff. They are so talented and funny. Loved it.
terrific show, all of the great songs they are famous for and some new ones. brought a tear to my eyes with their "farewell tribute" to their fans. I cannot believe this may be their last concert tour together.
What a great show. I could have listened to them all night. It made me miss my vacation to Ireland a few years back as well as a cruise I went on that was strictly Irish entertainment. The title of the tour indicates this as their final tour. I hope that's not true. I really enjoyed the small venue.
This is a show that even if you are not Irish you will surely enjoy. From ballads to the beat of the drinking songs, this is an enjoyable experience. In addition to the music, the humor of the musicians is delightful and audience participation adds to the atmosphere.
