two great local opening acts and three major headliners. well worth the money. the club looks the same as it did the last time I was there in 1992. they could stand to put a little money into the place fixing and cleaning it up. otherwise it was a great show.

by bluesygirl1 on 6/6/10Chameleon Club - LancasterI have attended the Bluesfest a number of times. The talent is incredible and the price of $20.00 to see 4 or 5 bands is a real deal! My favorite radio station, WXPN, helped to advertise the event this year. I like how The Chameleon puts local talent together with more well-known groups. I just wish Lancaster County would support the Blues genre more than they do and that the people from here would get up and "shake their groove thang". I felt that The Holmes Brothers were fantastic! Their harmony gave me goosebumps! The other groups were good, too, but I went to hear The Holmes Brothers, whose style was more to my liking than the bands that were heavier on the electric guitar and sounded more like rock to me. I highly reccommend this event and intend to support it in the future.

by DSarbo on 5/2/10Temple for the Performing Arts - Des MoinesThe Holmes Brothers are pros all the way. Their playing was effortless. There voices blended so well yet each still retained their own uniquness. While I anticipated great vocals, Wendell's guitar solo's were very impressive. I'd see them again in a heartbeat!
Rating: 3 out of 5by henrideux on 5/2/10Temple for the Performing Arts - Des Moines First half was definitely better than the second; group appeared to want to raise the volume to compensate for their singing, which was so-so. Good instrumentation. They wanted to succeed and kept asking us if they were.
