THE GO-GO'S IN CONCERT:

After three decades together, iconic new wave girl group the Go-Go's still have the beat. Boasting an all-star lineup that includes the beloved voices of Belinda Carlisle and Jane Wiedlin, the Go-Go's continue to be one of the most effervescent live acts around, practically bursting with energy as they take the stage to perform upbeat classics like "Our Lips Are Sealed" and "Head Over Heels." One thing is clear: these girls just want to have fun, and that's exactly what they'll do on their upcoming tour dates.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Formed amid LA's burgeoning punk and new wave scene in the late '70s, the Go-Go's got their start playing seminal venues like The Whiskey A Go Go and The Roxy. For their 1981 debut LP Beauty and the Beat, the band eschewed their early punk sound in favor of a more radio-friendly brand of power pop -- with phenomenal results. The album peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, spawning the hit singles "Our Lips Are Sealed" and "We Got the Beat" and earning the girls the Best New Artist award at the 1982 Grammys. 1982 follow-up Vacation was a similar success, landing two more hits on the charts and going on to be certified Gold by the RIAA. Following an initial breakup in 1985, the band's members embarked on various solo ventures, reuniting periodically over the years to record and tour. Back on the road for another highly anticipated tour, the Go-Go's will bring their signature energy to venues around the country.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"Great energy and super show. Go-Go's brought back the 80's for a few hours, and we had a great time."

"The girls all looked and sounded great.  Belinda sang a few of her songs and she was sounding great. Plenty of Go-Go songs and it was a great balance of all the girls' music."

"They were just as fun & energetic as they were in the ' 80s! Very enjoyable!"

    Reno A Go-Go

by TahoeChet on 3/28/22Grand Sierra Resort and Casino - Reno

First off Belinda sounded amazing! and there is not a bad seat in the whole place. The sound and stage where great though the show was Ehh. I was really looking forward to seeing this band and they left me with well been there done that. I am sure that they are sick of playing all there popular songs after all these years but that's what u want to hear if your only going to play a little over an hour. They only did one encore and two songs both of witch we never heard or remember . Though sadly when they were done most people were ready to leave. The crowd seemed to be like my wife and I . We wanted to stand up and dance and rock but we were left sitting going have you heard this before?

    Super Awesome!

by Megg on 3/28/22Grand Sierra Resort and Casino - Reno

Great Show and Venue. I have been a Belinda Carlisle Fan (Dottie Danger) since the early 80's. The delivery of their performance was so on point. The band overall has taken care of themselves very well over the years because they look and sound great! Very professional artists, I was bummed that their drummer was out sick, however, they had the drummer from Blondie who was Rad. The Venue was nice and a great sound system.

Only knew 3 songs. Didn’t know they had more than 1. The band still rocks the guitar and bass. Would not go again even if the tickets were free, sorry.

    Was it the Venue?

by Kneedeep on 3/27/22Grand Sierra Resort and Casino - Reno

The sound was distorted all night. The sound engineer should have fixed it. The artists can't hear what they sound like, it's the sound engineers job to hear for them. He just looked at the board and saw green lights. Maybe it was the room, but the sound was not good. I believe the sound could have been fixed, but the sound guy blew it

    STILL THE BEST

    by j. m. on 2/9/22

These women never disappoint. I wish I could give 10 stars. As long as I have oxygen in my lungs and they come to or near my vicinity, I will go see them. I cant wait for the long over due 2022 shows on the west coast. Just wish they would come to Portland Oregon more often.

By far the best band I have seen in concert(s). I try to go to as many shows as I can and have been since the earlier punk days. These ladies light up the stage and put on one hell of a rock show! Best live band ever!

What a wonderful secret surprise! Small and cozy. If you rent a room that faces the venue, you can watch it from your patio. Parking along the beach is free.

Go Go's Take Over the Fox!

by MarinMan on 7/2/18Fox Theater - Oakland - Oakland

The Go Go's took the stage and were greeted by a crowd that was ready to celebrate. The band opened with This Town, and the crowd was dancing. They followed that song up with Vacation and the place simply roared with energy. Their 19 song set was sprinkled with hits and some songs that, while less well known, were beautifully designed and tightly executed. Belinda Carlisle is clearly the personality of the group and she bounced around the stage with polished choreography. The band seemed to have fun playing together and the audience fed off of it. A great show.

Go-Go's and Belinda Carlisle Put on a Great Show

by EaglesFan19591994 on 7/2/18Humphreys Concerts By the Bay - San Diego

As always, Humphreys is an intimate venue. We had fourth row seats. After all these years, the band still sounds great and looks amazing. They played a number of hits that made them famous. I'm a huge fan of Belinda's solo work, but she did not sing any non-Go-Go's songs. Can't say that I was surprised. If you love the Go-Go's you will not be disappointed. They were energetic and hit all the high points. Bravo!

    The Go-Go’s still have it!!!

by EnieP on 7/2/18Humphreys Concerts By the Bay - San Diego

The Go-Go’s were great, however, not nearly loud enough. The audience was louder than them. You would think with it being such a small venue it would be plenty loud. Not the case.
