THE GO-GO'S IN CONCERT:

After three decades together, iconic new wave girl group the Go-Go's still have the beat. Boasting an all-star lineup that includes the beloved voices of Belinda Carlisle and Jane Wiedlin, the Go-Go's continue to be one of the most effervescent live acts around, practically bursting with energy as they take the stage to perform upbeat classics like "Our Lips Are Sealed" and "Head Over Heels." One thing is clear: these girls just want to have fun, and that's exactly what they'll do on their upcoming tour dates.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Formed amid LA's burgeoning punk and new wave scene in the late '70s, the Go-Go's got their start playing seminal venues like The Whiskey A Go Go and The Roxy. For their 1981 debut LP Beauty and the Beat, the band eschewed their early punk sound in favor of a more radio-friendly brand of power pop -- with phenomenal results. The album peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, spawning the hit singles "Our Lips Are Sealed" and "We Got the Beat" and earning the girls the Best New Artist award at the 1982 Grammys. 1982 follow-up Vacation was a similar success, landing two more hits on the charts and going on to be certified Gold by the RIAA. Following an initial breakup in 1985, the band's members embarked on various solo ventures, reuniting periodically over the years to record and tour. Back on the road for another highly anticipated tour, the Go-Go's will bring their signature energy to venues around the country.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"Great energy and super show. Go-Go's brought back the 80's for a few hours, and we had a great time."

"The girls all looked and sounded great.  Belinda sang a few of her songs and she was sounding great. Plenty of Go-Go songs and it was a great balance of all the girls' music."

"They were just as fun & energetic as they were in the ' 80s! Very enjoyable!"

    HOB GoGo’s

by 40 year fan on 3/31/22House of Blues Anaheim - Anaheim

Overall show was great! Could have used a little less volume and a little better mixing. Instruments and vocals were just loud, and a little overpowering - making all of the songs sound kind of the same (couldn’t decipher the vocals).

    STILL GOT THE BEAT!!

by Kimmarie on 3/31/22House of Blues Anaheim - Anaheim

THE GOGO'S WERE AMAZING! The venue was super fun and easy! Not only do all of the members sound amazing, they still have the energy to put on a really entertaining show. Belinda Carlisle sounded exactly as she did in her 20's and they all looked amazing too. It was so encouraging to see beautiful women who have not over done the botox, fillers and plastic surgery that is so readily available and encouraged. I mean really.... 60 is for sure the new 40 and these women prove it! I must admit that after the Pandemic and with the hands of time passing so quickly my girlfriends and I were feeling a bit anxious about attending a concert at a venue that we had never been to before, also having general admittance tickets which meant we were going to have to stand the entire show. We all wondered have we really reached a point in life where having fun is too much trouble?! Fortunately, the venue was fun and easy... we had no trouble standing for the entire show! In fact, we danced, yelled sang and enjoyed EVERY SINGLE MINUTE! We were so glad that we allowed ourselves to step back in time and as a result left the show feeling young, energized, hopeful and back in touch with those girls that would do anything to dance and sing and see the Gogo's!

    The Go Go' HOB Anaheim.

by Deb on 3/31/22House of Blues Anaheim - Anaheim

The Go Go' were Great I enjoyed the show and had a Fun time with friends and surrounding people I met. The Venue should have better accommodations for people that require a Wheelchair. There was a lady in the General admission that was surrounded by people and could not see and no one would let her move up to the front of the stage. When a fellow concert goer asked if she could sit up stairs the staff would not accommodate unless she paid an outrageous amount. This is not right. Also, I would like to see the HOB/Ticket master go back to option of purchasing a reserved seat when purchasing your ticket to a show. The prices to purchase on the day of the show is outrageous. I believe selling those seats with ticket purchase will improve sells. I noticed many empty seats upstairs. Thank You.

    These ladies rocked!

by PatriciaPW on 3/31/22House of Blues Anaheim - Anaheim

Great show, but general admission seemed oversold for pandemic times. We were shoulder to sholder with hundreds of people. Great show, will go back, but we'll pay for VIP seating next time.

    GoGosStill Got the Beat

by Hip Chick on 3/31/22House of Blues Anaheim - Anaheim

We got to house of blues early and had a tasty burger to avoid evening traffic. The Go-Go’s were the only band, which was great. On a Monday night, we didn’t want to watch multiple cover bands before getting to the good stuff. Go-Gos were awesome!!! It was one of those bands that I had not seen back in the day and I am so thrilled that I finally did! I will now go to more concerts at the house of blues Anaheim. Had only been to the one at downtown Disney The Gardenwalk. The whole area is so easy to get in and out of and just a great fun night all together!

    Gogo’s Rock!!

by Drummergirl32 on 3/30/22Grand Sierra Resort and Casino - Reno

I’ve been wanting to see them since I was 17 years old and finally got the chance. This was one of the best concerts I have been to and I have been to hundreds. They are still badass rockers who had me dancing and singing from beginning to end. I also got to meet them at their sound check and they are super nice down to earth human beings. Loved it!!

    Fun Show

by uncleoogie on 3/30/22Pechanga Resort and Casino - Temecula

The Pechanga Theater is a wonderful venue with nice comfy seats with drink holders. The Go-Go's put on a great show. Belinda is amazingly beautiful and her vocals were superb. They played 21 songs which included just about every song from "Beauty and the Beat". Everyone was dancing. What a great night!

    Pop rock legends!

    by Drizzy B on 3/30/22

Had a very good time watching these ladies perform! Played all of their hits as well as some songs that I have overlooked in the past. But of course, hearing them live; it made me revisit and listen to them again! Belinda sounded just as good as ever and her bandmates were so much fun to watch. Had me dancing with my beer till the end!

    Go to Go Go's

by Jaywest on 3/30/22Pechanga Resort and Casino - Temecula

What a great treat to still see these girls rock after 4 years ! Belinda sounded great and prance / danced around the stage ! It did feel like a little bit of a disconnect with the interactions of the ladies that have known each other for over 40 years at times I felt they were practicing covid distancing staying 6 ft apart from each other ! Other than that a great fun show !

    Awesome and fun!!!

by C. G. on 3/29/22Grand Sierra Resort and Casino - Reno

I was sad the original drummer was sick, but to have the drummer from Blondie was super cool! The GoGo's did not disappoint us at all; these women can still rock!!! My friend and I relived our childhood!!! There were some more songs they could have played, but we had a great time, good seats too.

Rock N Roll Hall o' Famers' The Go-Gos

by ArubaJim on 3/28/22Grand Sierra Resort and Casino - Reno

Decent set of Go-Gos standards - several of their biggest hits, a few lesser knowns and some covers. Very low-key set with only a few of the members moving about the stage with Belinda bouncing around the stage for 1.5 hours barefoot. Glad I was able to see this group that I remember listening too when I was younger.

    Get Up and Go

by Brenda on 3/28/22Grand Sierra Resort and Casino - Reno

I saw The Go-Go's in Reno the other night, and it was fantastic! I have seen them 5 times over the last 40years, and I believe this show was my favorite. I bought really good seats and was very close to the stage, which is something I've learned to do over the years. They looked great and sounded even better. Belinda and the girls can really rock out those hits and had the whole place on their feet and dancing the whole show.

    Go-Go's Go All Out!

by Bonkers For Belinda on 3/28/22Grand Sierra Resort and Casino - Reno

Fantastic performance. Would highly recommend. All original band members for this show, minus the drummer who we were told just had surgery. For women in their 60s, I was thoroughly impressed by their energy and stage presence. No fluff, no sideshow shenanigans... just the girls, bare-bones rocking-out. Played all the hits and lots of lesser known early stuff. Just kept playing song, after song, after song. Totally worth the price of admission! They Got The Beat!!

    Great Show

by BILDCAT on 3/28/22Grand Sierra Resort and Casino - Reno

Venue was wonderful. Easy to get in and get out. Acoustics were pretty good, but the sound techs could have done a better job with mixing. Couldn’t hear Charlotte’s piano very well and Kathy and Charlotte’s mics were being drowned out by the guitars. But, all in all, a great show.

Amazing rock-punk, Great energy, GSR sound mix so-so

by AVMike on 3/28/22Grand Sierra Resort and Casino - Reno

The Go-gos brought a driven punk rock show of classics and new material that rang relevant, fun and energetic. Class act. We sat just to one side of mix-board and the mid-lows were drowning out the vocals for much of the show. I don’t expect studio sound, and the venue (GSR in Reno) has nice looking hanging arrays. We just felt that the lead vocals distorting in that mid-low range didn’t showcase such a pro band.

    Slightly disappointed

by Huntsman on 3/28/22Grand Sierra Resort and Casino - Reno

The GoGos were fantastic and sounded great, I was disappointed that they didn't play any of their solo works. It would have reaulted in 5 star review

    A fun time!

by JenLWoo on 3/28/22Grand Sierra Resort and Casino - Reno

Ok - I freely admit that if it isn't played on 80s on 8, then I don't know the GoGos song. This was still a fun event. I recognized only like 5 of the songs, but the artists were so enthusiastic and the music is so up-beat and bouncy, it was fun anyway. My only complaint was that the base was turned up too high for the room we were in. I could feel it in my chest and ears, and it made it impossible to understand any of the words that were being sung - even on the songs I knew. Still a fun concert though!

    The GoGo’s are still amazing

by Kc on 3/28/22Grand Sierra Resort and Casino - Reno

The GoGo’s were awesome. My only complaint was that the casino and theatre were way too warm. Turn on the ac next time. Oh wait, maybe it was just the GoGo’s !
