The vocals were drowned out by the keyboard which was completely TOO Loud
I have been a big fan of Genesis music, since the early '70s. My favorite songs are those that came before Genesis went "pop". This band recreates the sound of the complex early songs, such as "Dance with the Moonlit Knight":I know What I like""In the Cage":Back In NYC"etc.. And also is spot on , doing mid-period classics, like "Dance on a Volcano""Ripples""Squonk"and "Afterglow" I've seen a similar band "The Musical Box"and The Genesis Show is just as great. I highly recommend catching The Genesis Show, if they are in your area. Incredible musicians, especially the keyboardist and singer.
I’ve been to many concerts but have never even been to a live Genesis concert by the actual band. I was thrilled to hear these guys absolutely nail every aspect of this complicated music! They caught all the emotion- every key.. the vocals were insane and how much sound they produced from just 5 guys- amazing! It’s so obvious that these musicians care immensely about “all the things” that make the Genesis sound- and let’s face it- Genesis may as well be their own genre- music like nothing else out there. And the Genesis Show was like watching the req thing- I felt like I was back in the early 80’s- amazing! GREAT JOB!!
They sounded great really did genesis proud in my opinion
I saw The Genesis Show in Ocean City, NJ. at the music pier. It is one of my favorite places to see concerts. I love the music of Genesis and listened to they during my teen years. They did a great job although I thought it was a bit too loud that it sounded a bit distorted. Not terribly but enough to think I should have brought my ear plugs. I think with better sound engineering I would have given them 5 stars. I would probably see them again if they came to my area.
As a HUGE Genesis fan (older Genesis music), I cannot emphasize how fantastic this show was. They sounded exactly like Genesis who I've seen in concert many times. It was a total throwback to old Genesis and my high school years. Highly recommend attending any upcoming "The Genesis Show". Loved every minute of it and cannot wait to see them again.
Ninety minutes into the show I recognized a song. This is odd since all the material is thirty years old. The venue was beautiful but the hype regarding the band did not deliver the performance I expected.
Very good, first time seeing them. The keyboardist may be Tony Banks in disguise. Lots of songs from Trick of the Tail. If you like older Genesis go see them
It was amazing. From the venue to the seating to the music. Non-stop rocking all night long.
The show started on time and the band was amazing . I've seen the musical box before at the keswick this show was just as good
