The day was fabulous. Great Weather, great people, the shuttles to the Riviera were convenient. The only issue we had was spending our $10. food/beverage credit. Luckily we found a food cart that had just been fixed and knew what to do.
I have been going to this event for decades. There was packed public seating and empty seating that was restricted. Lack of lunch options as the food truck situation seemed smaller this year then in past. The parking and shuttle set up worked well.
you Must offer refillable water stations. Let people bring in empty containers and not polite the environment with plastic. Everything else was amazing!
For a Thursday it was pretty busy but I guess it’s because Tiger and a star studded cast was playing. Not enough PGA GOLF near LA. The tournament was fun but the prices of soda was too much. Food trucks in the middle was nice to have. Overall a fun day watching golf!!
The Genesis Invitational was top notch all the way. I coauthor the third and fourth rounds. The food was great and the event was well organized. The course was great to walk and view the best players in the world. Ride share Access to the course was good, but uber service was a fail. I took Lyft the next day and it was much cheaper and faster. My only gripe would be there wasn’t enough tourney gear available for purchase at the shop, otherwise I highly recommend this event!
Better weather this year, commendable tribute to Kobe -- and nice to see Tiger make the cut!
Purchased 4 tickets that came with a Citi Card promo of a $10 food/beverage voucher for each. Visited over 5 concession stands that could honor the voucher, not one were able to process the transaction. I felt sorry for the grief the volunteer concession works received from those in the long lines. A real miss.
Also, beer stands: Too many “light beers”. Life is too short for light beer.
1. I went on Saturday and I was told that no pairings sheet or map would be given to spectators since the Concierge said, "Everything is online". I need a map. I need a pairings sheet. It's faster than searching on my phone and attempting to walk at the same time. Why is Genesis so cheap and yet everything at the event was overpriced. 2. The food and beverage voucher was a disaster. I went to the Driving Range food area and the only person managing the ipad said she was not able to perform transactions. One person and a whole lot of people in line. It was very poorly managed.
If you are a golf fan than I recommended you attend any PGA event in your local area! It is pretty amazing to see the game played by professionals, and the event setup was very well done, and by far the cleanest porta-potty I ever used. I would defiantly attended another PGA Event
Love the course. Love the players this event attracts. Paid for the parking at Will Rogers park ($75) way worth it! Only a 5 minute ride. Plenty of shuttles. Will use again and again. Only draw back was getting out of the event after the last putt dropped. Off of 1 fairway. There is a natural pinch point because of all of the people who are in line for the buses to the beach for that parking. Something better should be done for future events about that. Otherwise event was great. Presenting tickets at gate couldn’t be easier. Thank you!
It was a great day to be at such an historic golf course, watch the pro golfers and share time with friends and family. I thought the event was well organized and the only issue was getting to and from the event. Parking was a nightmare and the designated driver sites were very busy! Hopefully this can be improved in next year. Overall it was a great time and well worth the money.
The golf, venue and shuttle were all first class - an amazing experience. Asa Citibank customer I purchased the Citibank general admission ticket which included a $10 food and beverage credit. I must have spent 2 hours stopping at various concession stands, none of which could read my QR code to grant me my credit. When I finally met someone that could help it literally took 40 minutes to sort it out. This was a massive waste of my time which should have been spent enjoying golf... but it was the principal of the $10 credit. In the future don’t offer these incentives if you can’t back them up with adequate technology.
Being so close to so many of golf’s top players was memorable. Worth the ticket price. The Riviera Club is an exceptional venue. Parking was inconvenient and over priced.
I have been to Riviera several times. Course was great and the golf was great. A few things need to be improved logistically. Thursday there were no tee sheets. Many spectators were caught unaware, the app is not really a good solution. Caddie bibs, they used to be color coded so you could tell who is who from the fairway, they were all white. Last detail was signage to buses in Santa Monica. A few signs to the pick up area would be an improvement. The wi-fi at the concessions went in and out and I was never able to use my $10 Citi bank credit.
Poor quality experienced in every service point. Last time for me.
Great to see Tiger and some other pro golfers & celebrities. Great to see the course. Very disappointed that Phil Mickelson was not there on Wednesday as promised. Disappointed that the $10-off coupons for both tickets were not honored by the Range food vendor.
The tournament was great, but the $10.00 F&B included in the ticket did not work. A lot of unhappy people.
Not as advertised. Purchased tickets using my Citi card which is supposed to give me a $10 voucher for food and drinks at the event. Both me and friend were short $10. No one at the event could do anything.
