    Brain-buzzing sonic assault.

by newwavehero on 11/4/10Paradise Rock Club - Boston

This show was definitely worth driving two hours from Rhode Island to see on Election Night...both bands played solid sets, and Black Mountain unleashed some serious thunder on Paradise's small stage. The only downside: I think the bands were too loud for the club's sound system...it could have been muddy mixing, but the vocals just didn't have enough juice to compete with the guitars. But it didn't take away from what was a great show, hands down. As a bonus, Paradise Rock Club serves Sam Adams Winter Lager.

    Black Mountain - rock gods!

by Dude1313 on 11/4/10Paradise Rock Club - Boston

Black Mountain rocked the house! The whole place was practically throbbing with their sludge rock sound. They're such a great band, the tickets were reasonably priced, as were the beers at the Paradise - which has recently been renovated. What a great show!

A Double Feature not to be missed!

by edzu on 11/4/10Paradise Rock Club - Boston

Awesome show, in a fantastic venue, with a killer sound system. Both bands work hard, have enough material to draw from and involve much from their newest recordings. I would go see either of the Black Angels or Black Mountain again and again, but together at $15 how could anyone go wrong?

Top notch, i dare say. I thought that maybe being in a smaller venue that was only at about 2/3 capacity could be uninspiring for the bands, but both acts impressed and seemed generally happy to be there. Loved the set lists...the lengthy jamming on "Druganaut" was highlight for me.
