It's always nice to hear some old music that bring back good memories and I really enjoyed myself
I have loved the Dramatics for over 40 years. It seemed like a couple of singers were a bit "out of it", high, or drunk. Missing words, etc. If you were there, then you know what I mean. This is probably my last Dramatics concert. I will hang on to the good memories.
They did a great job performing, it bought back great memories. The opening act for them (whose name I don't remember) where also great. There rendemption of Temptation songs sounded just like "Tempts" great job as well.
I enjoyed the concert!! It was easy in and easy out parking!!! Love The Soundboard also!!! I don't think there is a bad seat in the house!!!
First of all, I was excited to see L.J. Reynolds and to hear his voice. Although they sang many of their hits, they never finished any of them!! This was very disappointing because by the time you got into the groove of listening to the song they ended it. I believe they had this preplanned maybe because of L.J. who at times appeared a little off. He still has the voice but maybe not as strong as before. I just chalk this up to the fact we're all getting older. Overall, I enjoyed the show, just wish songs were sang all the way through.
Only changes I would like to have the alcohol drinks lower to expensive this includes a glass of water for 2 dollars. If charging water you should be serving bottles of water.
First time coming to the Sound Board, and I truly enjoyed myself. I will definitely go there again.
Really loved the Dramatics and was extremely excited to see them; though the only original member is LJ Reynolds. However, the performance was not what I expected. Unsure what was going on with LJ, but certainly hope he’s okay and wishing him well. Definitely not the same voice. Appeared to forget song lines/words, out of key, and questionable stamina…hoping this was not related to inebriation but perhaps something medical. The group members did a good job with redirection and had very good voices. I will always LOVE the Dramatics from “back in the day” and have an endearing heart for LJ Reynolds; however, it’s likely time for retirement. I’ll keep playing and enjoying those old jams that will never ever die!! Sorry for the disappointing review because I was hoping for a memorable experience. LOVE ❤️
LJ Reynolds and The Dramatics are living legends. Mr. Reynolds voice at 71 is amazing, strong and beautiful. All the guys are awesome and can sing sing. I truly enjoyed them as always. And the opening act was great as well.
Will always love the Dramatics but this show was "dramtically" different from last year's. Songs were shortened or not performed and there just didn't seem to be the enthusiasm that they had last year.
The Dramatic has help me along the way with my pry relationships, Those old songs never gets "OLD" anyway. I was truly treated to , what one say as an, good evening of Romance. Surely. that wasn't the case. Ist ,of all for an show to start at 7:30pm , didn't start until 7:48pm. The Dramatics actually cut and pasted songs along the way as the night progress. 2nd, the lead singer constantly talked about his past. 3rd, the show went on for 1 hour 1o minutes. Yes, the Dramatics fans showed their loyalty to the Dramatic by coming out in that rainy , tornado weather. The Dramatic was just the hype of the night, "SORRY"
Oh what a great soulful show! LJ Reynolds is as good as it gets. The Dramatics were so smooth and harmonized so well. We had a fantastic time. Great venue for a show!
Great show , they were excellent and completely entertaining from beginning to the end. This was a very interactive show and great showmanship. We would definitely come to see them again.
Dramatics Never Disappoint. Food and service was great. Arrive early to get best choice of seats and space, though all options are quite good.
Despite the deluge at the Dell last Thursday night, the show was fantabulous. Started off with Harold Melvin's Blue Notes singing all of their classic hits that Teddy Pendergrass made famous. Next up: The Intruders took me back to house parties and blue lights in the basement. Then the fan favorites: Bloodstone. Philly fans and Bloodstone go a looooooong way back - pardon the pun, but they killed it with their timeless renditions of Natural High, Outside Woman, You're Still a Young Man, and Who Has the Last Laugh Now. True pioneers of the R&B genre. What can I say about the Dramatics? Time has weathered their vocal acuity, but nevertheless, Whatcha See is Whatcha You Get, and the real thing is what we got from the Dramatics at the Dell last Thursday night. Those Motown crooners had us on our feet, outta our seats, and rockin' to the beat.
It rained...that was ok! However, we sat in the fifth row with our rain gear on and couldn't see the stage because of those who had their umbrellas up. So unfair to the considerate people who didn't put up an umbrella. there should be a designated area for umbrellas away from seating. Not to mention the water that dripped on us from the umbrellas. Very disappointed.
It was an amazing show even in the pouring rain. I cannot wait for them to come back.
Despite the rain it was an awesome event I can't wait to do it again
Sorry to say the Dramatics were not as good as I anticipated, singing songs we were not familiar with. However BLOODSTONE, THE BLUENOTES & THE INTRUDERS were excellent. Leave the Dramatics in Detroit & add the Stylistic next year!!!!
Very good show with great showmanship. The group in all performed very well and the voices were just as back in the day. LJ Reynolds sounds awesome and I had a great time.
