THE DAN BAND IN CONCERT:
The Dan Band has carved a unique niche for itself at the intersection of music and comedy, combining equal parts humor and chops to achieve their pitch-perfect pop culture send-ups. Known for their histrionic, tongue-in-cheek covers of traditionally female-fronted power anthems, comedian Dan Finnerty and his hilarious backup duo have become a comedy circuit favorite and late-night talk show staple. The Dan Band is a live act first and foremost — their 2005 debut album was a live album — and there's no better way to experience them than on their 2014 tour.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
The brainchild of actor and comedian Dan Finnerty, the Dan Band got their start in LA's comedy club scene, where they were hailed as the "hottest ticket in town" by Entertainment Weekly. After making several high-profile cameos in comedy blockbusters like The Wedding Planner (2001) and Old School (2003), the band released their 2005 debut album The Dan Band Live. The album was a hit, featuring parodies of pop culture subjects including Shakira ("Whenever Wherever/Hips Don't Lie") and bubblegum pop ("Genie In a Bottle/No Scrubs/Slave 4 U") and setting the tone for their future live shows. As the band hits the road for another gut-busting tour in 2014, no topic is off-limits, and fans wouldn't have it any other way.

Awesome. Just awesome. Comedy, talent, and obscene language rolled up into one. That's my kind of show! Dan Finnerty has a fabulous voice and man-boy charm that makes the ladies swoon. His backup singers and their brave exposition and dance moves are constantly entertaining. This a unique and fun band!
I saw The Dan Band at Club Nokia in LA for my birthday and they were amazing. I had read good and bad reviews about the venue, but I would have loved seeing The Dan Band in a garage they are so funny! They really get the audience involved and everyone around me didnt stop laughing until well after the show was over! Great performers and hilarious choreography, definitely would recommend this to all my friends!
This is the second Dan Band show I have gone to and these guys are true entertainers. If you want a great show that will keep you laughing, go see the Dan Band!!
Always a great show; highly recommended. Dan Finnerty has surprising vocal range, and his backups are great foils.
This is the second time I have watched them. They were even better than before. Club Nokia is a great venue to go see them at.
The Dan Band will not disappoint. From the hilarious and wonderfully coordinated show to the interactive audience moments be prepared to laugh so hard-my sides were splitting. Played all of the fav's! Will be going back in Nov and sitting at table 12- on time and making eye contact! Some celebs were in the crowd too, kinda neat to ppl watch
They deliver live, as excellent entertainers should. The live show is funnier than the albums and/or videos, and Dan's improv rapport with the audience is beyond reproach. Can't wait to see them again.
Show was awsome, but the seats we got sucked. I paid for VIP seats and were stuck with a seat on the balcony and the railing was dead center in the middle of the veiw of the stage. I had to lean forward the entire concert to see the stage. Great show, horrible venue.
I wnet to the show last night at Club Nokia. It was my first time seeing the Dan Band and they did not disappoint. The show was great. I would definitely go to see them again.
This was my second time seeing The Dan Band and both shows were amazing! Laughing the entire concert... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
I've seen them a few times in the past 5 years with a handful of friends. This time I invited a large group and now they're ALL dedicated Dan Band followers. We'll do it all again on Nov 6
Club nokia was quaint and cozy and allowed cameras ( or a least the Dan band did)!!!! The show was about 2 hours of comedy and music and had you cheerin from the start. Love love LOVE it and will come again!
This was a great show. The performances were great, the back up singers look like family friends we know. There were some cool celebrities, Helen Hunt, Neil Patrick Harris, and the piolt guy from Firefly. We were laughing from begining to end.
What a great show! We were completely entertained. Dan has a great voice and gets involved with the audience. The bartenders were great and made us amazing drinks. I didn't want the show to end. This is a must see!
The sound was very bad. It was almost impossible to understand what Dan was saying and the overall level of the band and the rest of the singers was very low. It really brought the quality of the show down.

I went into buying tickets for this show thinking it would be good. I was suprised at how great it actually was. Excellent show!!
If you are looking for something unique then the Dan Band may be your answer. It is popular music and some rap music rolled into a comic act that is funny, and entertaining. The lead singer has a great voice and a personality to boot and was very engaging with the audiance. I had a good time!
The Dan Band was great. Funny, entertaining, no complaints. Club Nokia on the other hand... the show started over an hour late, thhey kept moving everyone around between tables (it was assigned table seating), our table was nowhere near where the seating chart showed we should have been (we were stuck off in a corner where we had to watch a TV on the wall to actually see the stage).
The band puts on a very good show. The music they play is from a large selection. Definitely a must see.
