THE DAN BAND IN CONCERT:
The Dan Band has carved a unique niche for itself at the intersection of music and comedy, combining equal parts humor and chops to achieve their pitch-perfect pop culture send-ups. Known for their histrionic, tongue-in-cheek covers of traditionally female-fronted power anthems, comedian Dan Finnerty and his hilarious backup duo have become a comedy circuit favorite and late-night talk show staple. The Dan Band is a live act first and foremost — their 2005 debut album was a live album — and there's no better way to experience them than on their 2014 tour.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
The brainchild of actor and comedian Dan Finnerty, the Dan Band got their start in LA's comedy club scene, where they were hailed as the "hottest ticket in town" by Entertainment Weekly. After making several high-profile cameos in comedy blockbusters like The Wedding Planner (2001) and Old School (2003), the band released their 2005 debut album The Dan Band Live. The album was a hit, featuring parodies of pop culture subjects including Shakira ("Whenever Wherever/Hips Don't Lie") and bubblegum pop ("Genie In a Bottle/No Scrubs/Slave 4 U") and setting the tone for their future live shows. As the band hits the road for another gut-busting tour in 2014, no topic is off-limits, and fans wouldn't have it any other way.

Dan band was hilarious... the youtube videos and their cameos in movies do NOT do these guys justice. I was laughing so hard from beggining to end and there were times when I was lauging SO hard I was crying. This show was the best comedy show I've seen in a long time.
This show was originally supposed to be in San Diego, that was my original plan. The venue change was annoying but Club Nokia is cool. Talk about celebrity sightings! David Spade, Nick Swardson, Kathy Najimy, Jason Sudekis and Todd Glass were all there. The Dan Band was really good, they mixed up tempo and soft songs with comedy and coreography. They did all the greats. Lots of fun.
These guys deliver an excellent performance throughout the entire show. Funny as hell. Great vocal lead and backups. Great impromptu comedy. Above all, you can tell that they're having fun and want the audience to enjoy the experience. That's how it should be.
Dan and his Band are the most entertaining group around ~ they do it all ~ comedy, great voices, and great moves! Their harmonies are amazing! The mix of songs they cover makes the show all the more enjoyable. Dan's interaction with the audience makes each show a totally new experience. I look forward to seeing them again and again!
Show was wonderful, if you get a chance to see them live it is so worth it! The ticket cost was extremely cheap for the HUGE amount of entertainment.
Second time seeing The Dan Band...they are awesome and put on a great and hilarious show...however, we had to wait over an hour for them to appear on stage with no opening act beside random music videos being played and the acoustics in the building were terrible. Definitely recommend to anyone to see the Dan Band, but in a different location.
The Dan Band put on a great show at the House of Blues in Atlantic City. My only complaint was waiting so long for the band to actually go on - once doors were open we had to wait over an hour for the show to start. If we had known, we would have taken our time arriving. Other than that, the show was worth the wait and we had a great time.
The show was amazing! I love Dan and the ...um...'Dan-ettes'? I guess. I would tell anyone who wants to laugh and dance and have a great night out....The Dan Band is SO the way to go.

D is the main man. This was a funny show. Highlights: Kram is Mark spelled backwards, the lady next to me dropping her beer all over the floor, and I think you better call Tyrone!
The Dan Band never disappoint! Great singing. Funny audience interactions and on the fly comedy. Club Nokia is a good venue although, the tables off the edges of the stage limit the view at times. Overall, a fantastic show!

I saw them at the HOB in Cleveland and the sound was terrible. You could hardly hear the band or any of the words he was saying in the song. The whole point of them is to hear their wording and see the show. It was the worst show i have seen at the HOB
I have never been to an event at the HoB before. It was a great venue with a great show. The Dan Band was hysterical and very entertaining. It was a a wonderful date night out with my husband and we had a spectacular time. Thank You
Excellent place to catch the Dan Band! Although some of the crowd members who the Dan Band participated with were 3 sheets to the wind. . . it was a utterly entertaining show. visions of John Kozeluh's pirouettes are forever etched on my mind. :-)
Dissapointing. It was almost the exact same show they did 3 years ago and there was not a live band. They had a dj playing all of the music. The show was not as entertaining as I thought it would be.
Sound/acoustics was bad when we were down in the pit. You had to go upstairs to hear a better balance of bass, music and voice but not as much fun up and away from the action. It would be much better if they had a band instead of piped in music. Very funny, though.
Great show! I always enjoy seeing them at the House Of Blues!! I would have love to get their autograph after the show like we did a few years ago. They used to sell their cd's and t-shirts after the show, so I am disappointed that we didn't get that option this time, but they're always great, funny and I love them!
These guys put on a great show! Great music and very entertaining! If you haven't seen them, you need to. I wouldn't sit in the front row though.
